View 1 RepliesIs there any way to find out what the current version number of Windows Mail and Calendar app is? I don't think mine is the most current and I have a bug that sometimes makes a New Event post to the previous day. How would I go about updating this app as I can't find a check for updates button or anything like that. BTW, I have version no. 17.6525.42271.0.

View 8 RepliesI have a weird problem related to the calender. I upgraded my Lumia 1520 to W10M and made entrys in the calendar. They are made into my Outlook calendar.
Still after 24 hours, the entrys wont appear in the Windows 10 desktop calendar. I also checked in Outlook 2016. No entrys. First I thought the Windows 10 Mobile didn't sync but than I was checking online under calendar.live.com and everything is there. I compared with other entrys, but can't find a different or wrong option.
When I made calendar entrys with Windows Phone 8.1 everything displayed fine and synced. Now why other devices don't like my W10M entrys except the browser version. What can I do?
Forget to check the calendar in Outlook 2016. It's also there, but still not in the app. I like to use the app, because of live tile.
My Windows 10 Calendar app won't show any events older that 3 or 4 weeks. It is synced with Outlook and a Gmail account. Those events do show on my phone and if I go to the individual websites.
View 4 RepliesI am having some trouble with Mail and Calendar app on Windows 10. I've just updated my OS.
Earlier today my wife synced her gmail account without any problems, the question is: we cant remove it, double clicking over the account don't show the option to remove.
Also, when I try to add my microsoft account i get an error message: 0x8000ffff
I'm playing around with the calendar app and can't get it to sync. I have put different reminders in calendar on my desktop, laptop and Win 10 phone. None of the reminders show up on the other devices. Mail works Ok. What do I need to do to get the reminders to show up in all devices? All devices are logged into my MS account.
View 3 RepliesAfter last patch tue, Calendar, mail, alarms/clock will not start, show tiles, but won't start. (Insider 10586). Upgraded my other partition from 10240 to 10586, (NOT insider) all is fine.
View 2 RepliesThe new task bar calendar is off by one day. At the top of the calendar, where the time is shown, the date (day month, day and year) are correct. But the calendar below showing all the days of the month is off by one day. For example, it says today is Tuesday, August 17, 2015 rather than Monday...etc.
View 9 RepliesI have turned off 'Input indicator' under 'Turn system icons on or off', I have also adjusted my 'Date and time settings' to show Monday as the first day of the week.
All works well until I reboot, after reboot, all goes back to default, my settings have not been saved?
Although the time and date can be seen on the taskbar , when I click to see the full calendar , nothing comes up at all . My Windows 10 installation is up to date .
View 1 RepliesI have tried restarting explorer and restarting my computer, but my taskbar won't show up!!

View 2 RepliesI was sick of windows and decided to switch to linux. I found amazing linux distribution which is called Elementary OS Freya and looks just amazing. Really nice and minimalist. Unfortunately I'm an 3D artist so I'm a software dependent so I can't use linux because the support for programs is horrible. Even though I managed to get Maya working on linux I've got wrong drivers for my AMD graphics card. I tried downloading drivers from AMD web page, but those drivers made my computer to crash and I had to restore linux and try again. So I was pointless because even graphic drivers wasn't working at all, so I had to switch back.
Windows is really good, stable and reliable OS and the program support is amazing, but I'm just got tired of all the same looks. It's just so annoying. Lets take file explorer for example. There's a lot of buttons and everything that nobody's using and it just looks horrible and you have to customize shit out of it to get rid of all that stuff. So as you may have understood I'm trying to make Windows 10 look more simple, minimalist and eye-catching. Linux has this amazing thing that you can change desktop environment. For example Freya OS is basically Ubuntu, but with different desktop environment. Ubuntu's using Unity and Freya's using Pantheon. And the thing is, that if you want to get the looks of Freya OS on Ubuntu you don't have to reinstall your OS. You just install different desktop environment and boom, as soon as you restart your pc Ubuntu loads Pantheon instead of Unity. I thought why Windows couldn't have that kind of stuff. Well as it turns out it can and there is few desktop environments for windows that can change explorer and all the shell and use custom instead, but those look awful. Don't understand why would people even consider using those. Anyways, there is one custom desktop environment which is called LiteStep and it has some decent looking themes, but unfortunately it's kind of old so there's no support for Windows 10. I saw some people taking initiative and making it work on Windows 10, but I couldn't get it working. Well technically I could and I used it with default theme which is even worse than default Windows looks and I tried to download some custom theme and nothing worked because theme required (and all of the themes does) som additional modules. And there's thousands of those and the server was down so I wasn't able to download modules and use the theme. So it was just useless.
So now the only thing that I was able to do was to install som custom themes for windows and so on and I got it looking pretty nice, but there's only one thing left and I can't fix it. I'm using Nexus Dock and I'm having my taskbar at the top of the screen which is okay. It actually looks a lot like Freya OS which is nice. But there's only one thing that annoys me. As soon as I open some program it shows on the taskbar. How to disable that. I don't want to disable taskbar or hide it or whatever. I want taskbar to be on a top of the screen and I want to have dock at a bottom of the screen and when I open programs I don't want to see them on a taskbar.
I want jump lists on both taskbar and Start button, they are only showing on Start button. I have checked the registry key that controls this attribute and the value is "1" so both should show. The "Show recently opened items... " switch in Settings is set to ON. Something is supressing the jump lists on my Taskbar icons. I do get live thumbnails on the icons but that is all. Right clicking does nothing.
Windows 10 Pro is an upgrade install and did not clean install afterwards. In my opinion not needed. I have run SFC /scannow and got a clean report.
CORRECTION: The Start button is showing the context menu on right click, not the jump list, unless that IS the jump list.
Is the registry key value 1 to show the jump lists?
I've done the settings for the time & date. However, no matter how wide I make the Taskbar, the short form continues to be shown. In Windows 7, when the Taskbar was widened, the long form would be shown. Is there something I need to do here? Or is this yet another bug?
View 9 RepliesHow do I show the power icon and volume icons on the taskbar notification area?
I have tried properties - customize - turn system icons on or off
But the power/battery and volume icon are greyed out.

When opening it i don't want to see Frequent folders and files, how can i change it so i can see only the drives?
View 4 RepliesI've had a look at some of the forums which seemed to have the same problem as me (perhaps for different/same reasons). Since updating the BIOS manually 3 weeks ago, I've been having multiple BSOD and each time the reason appears to be different. However, there are only 4 recorded BSOD in minidumps (I've had a lot more than that... but I don't know where it's gone).
View 3 RepliesI am trying to write a batch file in Windows 10 to output day of week (Monday, Tuesday etc) to variable do that I can do certain procedures on differnt days o the week and am having major problems.
If I type DATE /T at command prompt I get 15/01/16 and no day of week.
I have change regional setting so that long date is in correct format but still if I type DATE /T at command prompt I get 15/01/16 and no day of week.
My computer has been regularly crashing about once or twice a day (it's on most of the time) starting on Dec 24th according to Event Viewer. I upgraded my Windows 7 to 10 back when 10 first came out and I haven't had any issues with it until this run of crashes. I haven't changed hardware since November when I upgraded my graphics card. I've run Malware bytes and it came up clean. The programs that are usually running are Steam, Chrome, TeamViewer, Dropbox and VLC Player.
View 1 RepliesI'm at my wits end with this computer. I get BSOD 0x124 about once a week, some times twice a week, since the life of the computer, which I've had for about 3 years. I've changed out the mobo from a GA-Z77X-UD3H to my current mobo a Z77 Extreme6 I've run memtest on each dim, had to RMA two of them due to the hammer test, and even with the fresh new ram, I still get BSOD almost daily.
While running the dm_log_collector to get the info to upload to this forum, I had another BSOD 124 while the program was collecting my PC's info. Luckily I was able to re run it after I booted to my computer.
No Im not OCing ANYTHING. This happens when the bios defaults are loaded. Happens when I turn off intel turbo boost and/or C states, and shared memory. XMP profile for my MEM on or off makes no difference. I also have a kernal memory dump ....
I can't find a case were a BSOD code 124 ever gets solved. I know that a 124 is usually hardware related but not all the time.
