View 1 RepliesGoogle drive won't run on my Windows 10 desktop. I don't know how to state this more clearly.
View 1 RepliesProblem:I press Start / I type the filename of any files I know exist in my Google Drive folder (c:/users/Luke/Google Drive) nothing appears. It says "Windows is still indexing some files. This might not be everything just yet."
Thing is, if I go to Indexing Options, it clearly says "Indexing complete." and there's no HDD activity (and it's had ages to rebuild the index)... and I rebuilt the index (~500,000 files).
The best workaround I've found is switching off Indexing (which reveals files in Google Drive folder, but now searching the whole computer takes forever)
Anyway to do this? I don't use Onedrive at all, i do use Google Drive, i just want to replace that shortcut to lead to google drive instead of onedrive? maybe editing through regedit?

I backup photos from my phone to Google Photos which then automatically syncs them to my hard drive to a folder in Google Drive. The folder containing these images in Google Drive has been included in the Pictures library, but the Photos app doesn't see them and says "No readable photos, videos or folders found." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Photos app. The pictures show up fine in Windows Photo Gallery. Does the Photos app has always ignored images in Google Drive or is this a recent development?
View 5 RepliesUntil yesterday everything was working fine. This night I shutdown my computer and this morning, when I started it up, I noticed the icons of my dekstop in the default location and with the default dimensions.
I repositioned them , I changed icon dimensions again but if I sign out/sign in , restart , shutdown/startup the computer , all my desktop icons go back to default position and default dimension.
I upgraded my kids' computer to Windows 10. It had an administrator account (for me to set things) and two separate user accounts for my daughter and my son.
I made the *mistake* of logging into Chrome with my Gmail acct ID while on my Daughter's user account.
Now, it's no longer her account. It has a password (It never had a password before). And instead of her name, it's literally my gmail account name.
I need to take some time to clean out the user account settings, but she has her steam, minecraft and other settings on her account. I don't really want to trash it and make a new one.
How to sign in store only expect all accounts... is it possible?
View 2 RepliesI'm running Windows 10 Pro x86_64. My little cloud icon says, "not signed in". I'm signing on my computer with my Microsoft account and OneDrive gives absolutely no clue to any of this. No way to sign in with OneDrive and my normal account is fine.

View 1 RepliesAbout 20% of the time whenever I sign into my laptop since I have it locked using my Microsoft account my laptop decides to just lock up and be stuck trying to sign in. I either have to wait until it goes back to sleep or restart it which gets quite annoying. This isn't exactly a Windows 10 issue since I been having it since windows 8.1
View 2 RepliesI just installed the latest version of the Windows 10 Technical preview and it lets me boot in to the sign in page, but as soon as I click next or press enter after typing in my password, the page goes nowhere and eventually does the usual windows "not responding" fade to white followed by an immediate reboot of the computer. Is there any way to work around this? If not, how would I go about reverting to windows 7 if I am unable to access the OS itself?
View 1 RepliesI want to load it now. How do I get Google Maps for Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesThe new Movies and TV app for Windows 10 is great. I like it. Specially when I saw the Cast button on it.
But when I click it doesn't find the Google Chromecast. My Google Chrome can easily find Chromecast but the Movies and TV app doesn;t
I just updated from windows 7 to windows 10. The internet was working fine in 7 and now only google will open in 10. I tried explorer and chrome. Same results. I tried disabling norton virus, no change. My computer says I have internet access.
View 1 RepliesToday I tried to open Google chrome and it did nothing. Its not blocked by avg or anything so I went to the installation folder and looked at the debug log and it can't find "Chrome.dll" here's a pastebin URL...get chrome to work.
View 1 RepliesWhen I use Cortana, she'll get what I want, but she'll use the Bing search engine ON Google Chrome.I'd rather have her use Google instead.
View 1 RepliesI installed a windows10 9-10days ago, and today my google chrome stop working. I can't use it as my browser anymore. I can't write anything in a chrome browser. It was working when I was using Windows8.
View 2 RepliesI want to have my Google calendar as the background on Windows 10.
View 1 RepliesI've had a problem where Windows was booting up fine sometimes, but other times it couldn't find the desktop settings, and I couldn't open any files (even though I could browse the hard drive) and there was no Start menu.
I've been trying various things to fix this, one of which was to set up a new user account. I followed instructions to open Powershell and I typed "net user TestUser password /add". It said it was successful.
Now I cannot even get into Windows. At the sign-in screen there are no users available at all (I just have the nice picture of blue window). I have tried shift-Restart to get to the troubleshooting options, but this doesn't work, it just restarts the PC and I get back to the same sign-in screen.
Just noticed my notification icon has changed and now has a little minus sign in the bottom right corner of it. What does this mean? I have most app notifications set to "on" only mail and onedrive are selected to be off.
View 2 RepliesI did a reset on my windows 10, then suddenly it went blank screen cant reboot so i decided to unplugged it , when i try to turn it back on cpu not getting any power fans arent moving either
View 2 RepliesI have tried to sign in with a Microsoft Account on by Windows account - When I do then it asks for my password on by Windows account. When I enter it I get the message "Oops something went wrong. Whatever happened, it was probably our fault. Please try again."
View 4 RepliesSign in option does not respond in Windows 10. I do not want to sign in every time I use the computer but I cannot change the setting.
View 6 RepliesThe situation is that I upgraded from win7 to 10 and I have a basic "local administrator account". When I go to my account settings and try to click on "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead", nothing happens (there is a brief background window that flashes and then nothing happens).
Similarly, if I try to login to the xbox one app, it also says that it could not sign me in. If I click on the "sign in with a different Microsoft account", it presents me with the option to "choose an account: Microsoft account". When I click on that, again nothing happens at all.
I get the same results if I try to turn on Cortana-- when she eventually asks to connect to a Microsoft account, I click "sign in" and again nothing happens (here again I sometimes see a brief window flash in the background but I never get a login screen.
Last but not least, I get this same result if I try to add a Microsoft account to the Mail App in Win10. As soon as I try to click to add an Outlook/Hotmail account, it flashes and nothing happens. I am able to add other types of accounts to Mail (google, etc). (Oh, and if I try to login to the Microsoft Store I also get the same login problem as described).
I'm really bummed b/c I cannot use a lot of features in Windows 10 and how to hook into a Microsoft account.
Things I have tried: I run windows updates constantly just to be sure, I have rest my "clock" and time settings repeatedly, I have made sure my location settings are turned 'on'. I have tried turning all of these things off and then on, then rebooting and checking for updates...still no way to login to Microsoft account .
