Prior to and outside of Windows 10 my Skype Microsoft video camera works fine... as does the whole Skype application
If I fire up Skype via Windows 10 everything works except my video camera. I get pictures and voice from the other party, they can hear me but cannot see me as my Video camera is acting DEAD !
So, I just finished installing the fall update on my desktop using the media creation tool. I am using a playstation 3 camera for skype and it does not show up when using the "skype video" app. It works in the main skype program with relatively basic controls for the camera, but there are no options in the new app that came with the fall update. I am using the CL-Eye-Driver-5.3.0.0341 for the camera.
I would much rather use the new app as it appears to be a lot lighter of a program than the desktop version of skype is.
Since installing Windows 10 my video picture is upside down and there is no sound. I can see the other party correctly but neither of us can hear. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 10. Windows Media Player works ok. Skype Echo 123 doesn't work.

In Skype/Hangouts the camera is working BUT the frame rates per seconds are very low - around 5. So the picture is really laggy.
My driver is: USB2.0 VGA UVC WebCam. Device manager says the driver is up-to-date. In ASUS's website there aren't any webcam drivers.
I was trying to get Skype Desktop to work on W10 v1511 and decided to uninstall the Skype Video App that comes with W10. Now I want to get it back! Short of reinstalling W10 how do I go about reinstalling the Skype Video App? I know it must be obvious but I'm at a loss.

View 1 RepliesYesterday updated to 10586 my L930 and, as before, the Windows Camera App doesnt record audio on video shooting. I know my phone is affected by the L930 speakerphone mic problem, but until previous version of Windows Camera, audio was recorded at least in the other channels. No surround settings to manage in 10581/6. But after the last two updates, WinCamera is not recording audio. Cortana Works ok. And I cant install Lumia Camera, because it is just showing a "move to Windows Camera" message. The thing is, I already reported this through Insider Comments, but, I need to film video with audio urgently.

Today I could not open. Restart the OS, no start. I tried to install Skype again. Does not work. After an hour it is still updating.

Edge sux:
- slow
- cannot work with Discuss properly
- browser URL space is not intuitive. OMG Double work to find your banks, everything. Terrible. Please pay for google, buy something
- not efficient in monitor use: unnecessary thick headings, unmanageably (by touch pad) thin rolling column.
Bing is less useful then google:
- Cannot translate,
- no scholar.
I have installed windows 10. Files were transferred well, but skype isn't working properly. I can hear the other side, but the other side can't hear me. Also the printer isn't working..

It says "Something went wrong - make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another application". I have tried everything I know of and find no reason. View 1 RepliesI was using skype as usual, put my computer to sleep, and woke it a few hours later. (Laptop) Anyways, I tabbed over to skype, and started fiddling with video options (I was trying out a spare webcam since my laptop's is horrible). I compared the two feeds for a while, and clicked the drop-down option for my laptop camera to compare again.
This is when my skype stopped responding, and I closed it with Task Manager. When I opened it again, I received an error telling me I was already logged on. When checking Task Manager for any skype processes to close so I could entirely restart the program, I found this: [URL] .... I have it highlighted. I can't end the task.
I updated to the latest drivers for Intel AVStream Camera on my tablet / laptop. After the update, only the front camera works now.

I have a notebook from HP dv603290br with Radeon HD 6550D but could not get the video driver to work properly.
View 1 RepliesAfter a series of updates, one of which must have been at issue, ALL of my conversion software applications now fail to /convert/ any files. The programs load properly but that is followed by various issues depending on the app.
Tipard will load, load video files, and start to convert... but immediately fail upon starting the conversion process.
Handbrake will load, but locks up on loading a file, any file, regardless of length, at the 20% mark.
MakeMKV won't load at all.
VLC randomly crashes, or refuses to play videos, music, or anything, after an undetermined amount of time.
My FTP software no longer loads its settings files and scripts.
And an annoyance, all of a sudden all my icons have little green check marks on them.

I know they're promising native MKV support. I'm hoping this means I can stream straight to my TV or Xbox by right clicking the file and choose the "play to" option but I don't ever remember this being confirmed.

Every single time I go and install the working driver for it, after a reboot Windows has done it again and reinstalled the latest driver. How do I tell Windows 10 to let ME decide which driver to install and keep??

It doesn't seem to be everything, everywhere, that requires it, but the large majority. It's definitely turned on in settings, haha. I assumed it was just a matter of turning ActiveX Filter off, but I can't seem to find a way to do that.
View 3 RepliesI upgraded my Lenovo U310 laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 a week ago. Everything seems to have upgraded successfully. The only problem that I can find is that none of the video streaming from Windows 10 apps can be played. I get an error 'Unsupported video type or invalid file path' when I click on a video article in USA Today or when I try to stream video from any other apps, NBC News, MSN Money, etc... from Windows 10 store.
I have no issue streaming videos from any of the browser though. What could be missing that could cause video streaming to fail?
How do I dissable or get rid of Skype from windows 10.
