When I start my computer it goes to a page that has date and time of day...I click and it goes to a sign in page for my microsoft account with password or pin...Can I start my computer and by pass this and go directly to my desktop page?
View 3 RepliesSo I just turned my computer on and noticed that my desktop had been reset to the default wallpaper and all of my folders had been deleted. I also realised that my documents and pictures had been deleted. I tried to run a game and my save files had been deleted.
I restarted my computer and everything was normal.
Is this an issue computer or just Windows 10 in general?
Until yesterday everything was working fine. This night I shutdown my computer and this morning, when I started it up, I noticed the icons of my dekstop in the default location and with the default dimensions.
I repositioned them , I changed icon dimensions again but if I sign out/sign in , restart , shutdown/startup the computer , all my desktop icons go back to default position and default dimension.
I have a desktop computer, it was working fine almost a year and now from a few days I am having a serious issue and that is when using my computer (generally or during gaming) it displays an error i.e PAGE_FAULT_FOUND_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. The screen turns pink and the edges are green (that's probably because of the resolution as I use 3840x2160 so the error kinds of destorts) but that's not the real issue, the main problem is the error itself.

Kingston 8GBx2 DD3 Ram (Simple ones, not the gaming ones)

During boot-up, I get a blank screen (shows cursor arrow which responds to touch pad movements), after the sign in page, which I can't I can't escape from except by forcing shut down and restart. The reboot can then take as long as five minutes to complete. I have considered using the restore route, but am warned that there is a long list of apps etc which will need re-installing, and this looks arduous.

It worked just fine a few hours ago but suddenly my pc just restarts after a start a game, it has restarted on Warthunder and CS:GO and when it restarts I don't get a error message or anything, it just black screens and starts over. And I've checked my components temperatures and they were normal so i really don't know whats the problem.
View 1 RepliesI've had a problem where I would put my laptop to sleep, and when it wakes up it doesn't save my session; it's basically boots from scratch so when I log in it has to reload all background applications as well as restoring my open applications. I've posted this here because it may be related to the Intel HD Graphics 4400 driver I recently updated (with which I can't roll back, as I just reset the system).
View 9 RepliesThe computer works great but is acting slightly strange and I think it can be fixed but I am still new to windows 10.I cannot sign-in to the desktop using the keyboard now. I am forced to use the touchscreen. The computer barely wants give me the touchscreen number pad on top of that. Is there something I can do to correct this? I would much rather use the keyboard again for this.
Also I keep getting what appears to be a volume control on the desktop (see photo). It appears on the desktop then disappears only to appear and disappear again later.
When I turn on my computer it is now necessary to sign in before the computer will finish turning on.
View 1 RepliesI installed windows 10 from 8.1 on my Vision E2 Gateway. When I sign in, the desktop keeps flashing a black screen every second. It doesn't allow me to open anything, I can't click on any icons visible, and this has been happening ever since I first signed in with windows 10. Is it a virus or something? It can't be that my computer isn't compatible, because it TOLD me it WAS.
View 1 RepliesI have updated my desk top with no problems and have set it to sleep after an hour, however it still goes to sleep after 10 minutes. It then sits with the blue sign on screen with no account pic or sign in box for ages before going to a blue screen which flickers for a few seconds before giving me the sign in options. I have tried adjusting all the power saver options to no avail!
View 5 RepliesI have a HP computer and I installed windows 10 about a month and a half ago. Now I cannot log into my computer because it continues to get stuck on a keyboard layout page. Windows came installed originally on my computer so I have no start up disc or anything. And windows 10 I got from the recent download so no disc for that one either. Is there anything I can do to get the screen to disappear? When i try to click on my keyboard or mouse while it is up neither works.

View 4 RepliesMy 2 year old computer did a windows 10 update overnight and I woke up to a frozen computer. It is stuck right before the desktop. I cannot do anything. I've pressed the normal buttons one would press and Nada.
Rebooted by way of the power button. Boots to the same screen before the desktop and freezes. I cannot get into startmenu to get to safe mode.
How can I create a shortcut for My Computer (This PC) on desktop in Windows 10? Actually there are 2 kind of shortcut for My Computer:
1. If I just open File Explorer, from left panel I drag and drop This PC to desktop and a shortcut will be created on desktop (This PC - Shortcut). If I right click on that shortcut and choose Properties, "This PC - Shortcut Properties" windows will be opened, which is NOT what I want.
2. I need This PC shortcut that when I right click on it and choose Properties, "Control PanelSystem and SecuritySystem" is shown! And I don't know how to create this one!
After down loading windows 10 once I'm past the sign in start page every thing is just flashing and the computer is totally unresponsive. It is impossible to access any programs. I can't even try to go back to 8.1 unless I can do something in the UEFI BIOS setting I'm totally sunk.
I must admit to being a little naive as I didn't realize windows 10 was an experimental program for enthusiasts only, being as the download symbol had appeared mysteriously on my monitor, and the tv is showing advertisements for windows 10 every hour, I assumed that I wasn't going to bugger up a 3 month old computer.;
I am running Windows 10 x64, my computer shuts off for what ever reason, power outage or what not. No error message and when it reboots i have no icons on my desktop. I have checked to see if a new desktop was created and that wasn't it. Normally it is off a restart/shut down of my PC but it does not happen all the time. I have check to see if "view icons" is turned on and it is. I have also checked to see if the show icons in control panel is checked and that is as well. I have also restarted my computer manually to see if it will fix itself and that does not work either.
