Mar 5, 2016Using Outlook 2016, Windows 10. In the last few days, I've started getting multiple copies of the same email. Not all emails, but most. Some, just two or three. Others, up to a dozen of the same email. I've got four accounts at two different servers (RoadRunner and GoDaddy) ... and it's happening to all four, which is why I think it's an Outlook problem.
Additional clue: Some of the emails I'm getting multiple copies of are from last month ... stuff that had been deleted many days ago.
First instinct is to look at my settings (both POP accounts), to see if things are set up correctly. But that makes no sense - up until two or three days ago, everything was working exactly the way it should. I haven't made any system changes, haven't installed new software ... can't think of anything that would've made this just start happening.

Aug 13, 2015Since upgrading to Win 10 last week, I have not been able to send emails from Gmail in Outlook 2013.
It was fine in Win 8.1.
My email settings are
IMAP
Outgoing server requires authentication - is ticked
Incoming = 993 with SSL
Outgoing = 587 with TLS
All other setting as normal. When I run a test it comes back as good and will receive emails, but nothing will send.

However if I logon to my email account via a laptop that does not have windows 10 installed I can see all my saved emails etc so I know they have not been deleted entirely.

My ISP doesn't have an SMTP server, so we use a separate service and have been for a while. My wife's computer and phone work with no problems on the same ISP and SMTP server. But using Windows RT / Ios. Have already run SCANNOW program (twice), added a new profile in outlook...
No problem with inbound, just outbound. Just keeps popping up asking for a password...

In the notifications settings I turned off "Mail" notifications..the app and turned on Outlook notifications. This however only provides me with pop up banners/notifications when an email comes in but still dosent show an email in the action centre.

Feb 10, 2016Upgraded both our Desktop & Laptop to Windows 10 in the past few months. Last week I tried to access some Outlook emails that were more than two years old, the attachments & emoticons do not appear. This is on both PC's & the same result using Edge, IE or Chrome.
I installed Windows Live Mail & now I can see all the attachments & emoticons. Forwarded some of the emails from Live Mail to myself & now in Outlook the attachments/emoticons all appear as well (all three browser Edge, IE & Chrome). So say for instance I have a 2 & 1/2 year old email in a Outlook folder that will not display attachments/emoticons but the very same email just forwarded from Live Mail to my Outlook inbox now displays all attachments & emoticons
Tried inspecting elements. See msgs regarding HTML, Java Script in Edge? Don't have either Java or Silverlight installed, guess the newer browsers are moving towards HTML.

However she uses Outlook.com for email and there is not an easy way to save the emails. If I do a clean install, will all her emails still be available?

Jul 30, 2015Since installing Windows 10 and Outlook 2013 on my main machine, I've had the following error when trying to send e-mails: Sending reported error (0x800CCC13): Cannot connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem.Oddly, the test e-mail when setting up the account works. I even re-installed Windows 10/Outlook 2013 and the same problem occurred, I tried a different e-mail account on another machine and the same error occurred.I can send just fine using Windows 7 and all the config options are exactly the same.
So far I've tried:
Disabling the AV software
Disabling all Outlook plugins
Tried different e-mail accounts
Recreated outlook profiles.
what I could try next? I'm currently running "sfc / scannow" as a quick Google shows that this may resolve it for some people.

Jul 31, 2015Upgraded to W10 on Surface Pro3 and it seems Outlook 2013 SMTP emails failing to send. emails send OK on other devices and all OK via Outlook web.
When testing the setting in Outlook test email send OK but when going back into the email account email fails to send with following error:
Task 'email address' - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC13) : 'Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.' Used different network connections with no success.

Jul 29, 2015I installed windows 10 this morning and as a result I can no longer send emails with Outlook 2013. I get the following error code: 0x800CCC13.
I did a search to find a solution and noticed that more people have this problem after installing windows 10, but no solution. In the mean time I am using Thunderbird.

Aug 6, 2015I performed the Windows 10 upgrade. Since that was completed I've been getting a receive error in Outlook 2013:
Outlook 0x800ccc1a - Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified.
I can send emails, but am not receiving.
I did some research and found a tip to do a cmd prompt with:
sfc/scannow
I tried doing this many times. It always ends with this message:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log.
The scan does not fix the email problem I'm having.
Outlook Notifications Won't Stop Sounding
Dec 23, 2015Received an automatic update for my Windows 10 a couple of days ago and since then my PC has been sounding the notifications sound (as if I'm receiving a new email) every minute or so without actually reporting any new notifications or new emails. I've unplugged all externally connected devices (in case it was a device issue) and have found that the only way it stops is if I close Outlook (2016). I usually leave my Outlook open so I know when new emails arrive - but as it's sounding notifications for no apparent reason I've just closed it down to get some peace. I've even tried setting the notifications sound to 'none' for Outlook in the Notifications / All Settings / System / Notifcations & Actions tab - and yet it still sounds a false notification when Outlook is open.

Aug 1, 2015I have 2 accounts set up in Mail for Windows 10. One is Yahoo, the other Comcast. When I first updated, the mail app worked fine. It would send and receive messages to and from both accounts. After a couple of days, the app stopped receiving messages. It will send, but not receive, from either account. I checked all the settings, tried to search the web for similar issue. ?

Aug 27, 2015I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 back on 8/6 and when everything was looking good I backed up my HD with Acronis TrueImage 2015. Unfortunately, my wife was doing something on the PC that caused the machine to go into a booting loop and I was forced to restore the HD from my 8/7 backup. It appeared that the restore worked well until I tried to re-apply all of the patches and updates to Windows 10 and Office. Each time I have tried Windows Update it returns a 0x8024402f error that only says that something bad happened during the update.
I've run the Windows Update troubleshooter and it fixed Windows Update components, however this does not resolve the issue. I have also ran the internet connection troubleshooter and the network adapter troubleshooter and neither found an issue. I don't believe that this is an internet problem however as I can receive and send mail from Outlook 2010 and I can successfully upload and download files from cloud storage and other websites. I have scanned my system files using the SFC /SCANNOW command and it found nothing wrong.
I have also performed a DISM command and it didn't find anything either. I have also cleared the files from the SoftwareDistrubtion folder and I've re-registered a bunch of DLL's from a list I found but that hasn't resolved anything either. I have also downloaded and have run the Windows Repair tool from www.tweaking.com and it didn't fix the problem either. Part of the problem here is that this is Windows 10 and most of the past posts have been in regards to Windows 7 and Windows 8.x. My gut is telling me that this is some sort of permissions issue or some registry issue that's causing this issue to exists.

I checked the option to have notifications come up in the Action Center, as well as Notification banners and to play a sound. Unfortunately, not receiving notifications. In the mail app, I tried Setting it to check for messages Every 15 minutes, and based on my usage.
I read somewhere that you can check for items "as they arrive", but this option isn't available for some reason. How to try to get new message notifications to show up?

Sep 20, 2015I built a new PC about a month ago and it works fine and is amazing. Skype however sucks, it is always crashing and I have to resort to the Skype web which is pretty bad for group calls and can't share screens. I looked at the event viewer and this is what it said.
