View 1 RepliesEarlier, I went onto the app store to download a new game, but there wasn't any install button. Additionally, those spinning dots just stayed on the page not going away, even when I went back to the main page. I restarted my computer, but to no avail. I logged out on the store, but now I get an error whenever I try to log back in.
EDIT: This happens for every app and game, not just the one I'm trying to download.
I've tried some commands and none have worked and have thought about reinstalling. Should I or is there a better fix for this?
View 9 RepliesI am experiencing issues with some core apps alike store, calculator, contacts etc. The live tile is showing these apps with title like @{Microsoft. WindowsStore_2015.... etc. I tried to reinstall the apps via admin powershell but it stops with error

Windows store is not working. It displays that server has stumbled and shows Error No 0x80072efd.
View 1 RepliesFor no apparent reason whatsoever, the Windows 10 Store is not working on my PC.
I'm running the normal, up-to-date version of Windows 10 Home on my Dell XPS 12, upgraded from Windows 8.1 via the normal upgrade route.
The app is visible, but when I click on it nothing happens. Not having the Store obviously means I cannot update any apps, let alone install new ones.
I don't have a system restore point (stupid from my side - I know), so I'm not sure what to do. I wanted to do a Windows "refresh", but it seems I don't have that option - it seems I can only "restore" and loose all apps and settings (but keep files at least).
After downloading Windows 10, thing worked well for a few weeks. After trying to download "Windows Essentials", my entire system has been in disarray. I went back to a previous version of Windows 10 before the corruption, but now NONE of my native Windows10 apps will open. I receive the following error: "There's a problem with (whichever app). Contact your system administrator about repairing or reinstalling it."The PC App Store icon is gone completely (as is the Microsoft Edge app and icon), and when trying to open it through "Search", I receive the following error: "Problem With Shortcut: The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'PC App Store.lnk' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again."I've tried the wsreset fix, but receive the following error: "MS-Windows-store.PurgeCaches. The application cannot be started.
View 5 RepliesI upgraded my win 7 to 10 like a month ago, and since then I have a strange problems on my (desktop) computer.
Firstly I noticed the problem with user accounts: I have 3 user accounts, and from time to time everything disappear from my desktop (icons and stuff) and seems like just rebooting works. Then I noticed that I can't view any images, as windows default "Photos" app suddenly stopped working, so my primary photo view app is automatically changed to "TWINUI" - whatever that is. And I can't change it, as the only option I can see is paint o.0 Then I wanted to go to store and see if I can get some other app for this, but now I can't even enter the store - it just doesn't responding at all, no errors, no nothing.
I have a latest win 10 build - and I'm updating it regularly .
Woke up this morning to windows store app when i open it just doing a circle thing, and windows mail will open but wont let me do anything, what is going on, beginning to think windows 10 was a big mistake.

View 9 RepliesTI had a problem with Windows store not working or edge not launching on my PC etc etc what is the best method to try and fix without draconian measures? if something went wrong I would want to try and restore functionality with as little requirement to go back and re install stuff as possible. I'd look to a measure that leaves user accounts intact and things like iTunes, steam, all my games, game clients, office 2016 all still installed and not removed. To lose all of that just to try and get the store or edge back and running seems too severe. It would take many, many hours perhaps days to get back to where I was. Especially would be nervous about iTunes which with its connection to iCloud music library would be disastrous to unsettle. I have my boot SSD drive and a larger secondary mechanical hard drive. All my software is installed across both locations although the steam library resides on the secondary given the colossal game install sizes we have nowadays.

View 1 RepliesFirst time to use the Store App today to install some apps after upgrade to Win 10 for 2 weeks. It is not working, The App open but nothing show up, it keeps displaying downloading sign. I have no way to upgrade or uninstall this App
View 1 RepliesI've recently created a thread stating that Start Menu, Settings and everything on taskbar were not working (such as volume control and wi-fi networks). I reinstalled Windows (clean install) and it was good again until today, when it started again.
I tried to open Settings via "ms-settings:" via Run, but it says that "limit time was reached" (It's a rough translation, as Windows language in my notebook is not in English). If I press Windows key + P (ms-settings:display), it won't open and I get a message that "this file has not an associated program to it to perform this task". Install a program, or in case there's one already installed, create an association in Defaul Programs control panel." Basically, this a list of what is not opening anymore:
Start Menu, Settings (and all options within it), Windows tray icons (power options, wi-fi networks etc.).
I've already rebooted Windows but I didn't fix anything. I don't know man, this is the second time this issue arises after a clean install. Windows 10 is buggy as hell, what's up with Settings and Start menu not opening anymore? Is Windows 10 still in beta? Seriously, did MS test Windows 10 at all? It doesn't look so. If this keeps happening I'll have to return to Windows 8.1 which was working fine
I have installed windows 10 on my Lenovo laptop which had Windows 7 but after installation of Windows 10 i can not able to open
Microsoft edge, Store, setting from starts menu.
It always comes with an error message "Element not found"
I originally wanted to completely disable the UAC as the admin permission messages that popped for almost any/everything i wanted to do were very annoying. I dont remember exactly what i did, but it was something in gpedit or something similar to it. After i did that my windows store app stopped working, and appeared as a blank space in my task bar as it was still pinned there. As the store wasnt working, apps related to it like the calculator disappeared from my pc. They dont appear when i search for them, and links to DL ones from the store dont work either.
I tried the guide here Apps - Reinstall and Re-register in Windows 8 and 10 - Windows 10 Forums and did step 2, but that managed to break powershell and make it disappear as well as disabling my task bar and start menu. I cant right click anything in my task bar, and can only use the start menu's right click menu.
A bit of background info: I have installed Windows 10 about 5 times.
The first 4 it would only work until the first reboot because during the setup phase it would automatically install a faulty driver and on the first available restart my Windows would break and I would have to reinstall to get the laptop working again. However all metro apps worked fine before the first reboot.
The 5th time I switched my internet off and window 10 setup finished without internet. That means the faulty driver didn't automatically get installed so I had a chance to switch off the automatic driver installation. However it also meant Windows 10 didn't get activated during the setup phase. I switched internet on, activated Windows 10. Now my computer works fine but all Metro apps are greyed out and not working. For some of them the application crashes and others give me the error "This app can't open". I tried all obvious solutions
sfc /scannow and the DISM commandReinstalling them using: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}Reinstalling them using PowershellStarting the Application Identity and App Readiness Services and a couple of other random suggestions I saw online. For me nothing has worked. I tried digging deeper and looking at the event logs the error message when trying to open the store is:
Activation of application Microsoft.Getstarted_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error:
The application cannot be started. Try reinstalling the application to fix the problem. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.
Looking at the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log:
Activation of the app Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App for the Windows.Launch contract was blocked with error 0x80073CFC because its package is in state: 66.
I am having some trouble getting the default store apps to work. As for the store itself, it used to briefly show the splash then crash. Now it is just an unknown file type that doesn't do anything when clicked. I have tried some of the more common fixes, like the powershell re-register scripts, but none work, all returning errors of one kind or another. At this point, would it just be easier to "Reset this PC", or is there another fix I may not have tried?
View 8 Replieshave a problem with usb drivers according to my control panel which says it is fixing the issue and then tells me to reboot but it is not fixed. Keyboard lights up on start but when the first blue window appears it goes off. I can get into the bios ok and the keyboard works there. only one port is working (USB3). as my mouse and keyboard are usb and there is no PS2 port i am kinda cactus at the moment. Been searching for usb drivers for win 10 but not having any luck. Everything was working fine since November until yesterday.
View 2 Repliesjust today my touchpad on my Asus laptop was working perfectly and for some reason stopped working. I can move the cursor with it and perform dragging gesture but two finger gestures aren't working, all drivers are installed so i don't know what to do...

View 3 RepliesHow to sign in store only expect all accounts... is it possible?
View 2 RepliesEvery time I try to install an app the installation bar finishes but then it gives me an error saying that it cant find the app.
View 1 RepliesSince upgrading to 10 from Windows 7 I’ve had to resort to System Restore 6 times in as many weeks because I get logged in with a temporary where nothing works. Although this is a bind the latest is that the Store app along with 12 others have stopped working, which means photos calc weather etc cannot be accessed.
View 2 RepliesI log out outlook account and use local account. But app store is still logged in. How to log out?
