When i boot my pc up, it can successfully go into bios, but once it reaches the windows logo where there is usually a loading indicator underneath it, it freezes. the loading indicator is not there, it seems that my usb ports quit working (my keyboard and mouse stop lighting up).
I've been having this problem for quite a while now ever since i upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 however i was able to successfully do a usb boot and wipe my hard drive and install windows over again, and I've been completely fine for about a month now, but the same thing is happening again.
I am guessing it is a corrupt windows file but i find it odd that its recurring even after i did a total wipe. Also I ordered a new ssd (500gb samsung 850 evo) to replace my current hdd, maybe that will fix this problem? I am also planning on upgrading my cpu, mobo, ram, and gpu soon. i will leave my current pc specs below.
I have not found any problems similar to this online. to make things clearer, i cannot get my pc to do a complete boot at all. it always freezes on the same screen, the only way i can get out of it is to do a force shutdown. I am starting to think that perhaps the problem may be my video card? also i do not have any spare parts or other computers to switch parts and test unfortunately.
After doing multiple things to find a fix (swapping ram slots, unplugging hdd and gpu and plugging back in, etc.) while on the frozen windows logo screen i unplugged my mouse and keyboard, plugged them back in, hit the restart button on my pc, and.. it started up? now i have noticed lag-like performances with my mouse (razer deathadder chroma) its as if it loses connection for a split second and the lights on it will simultaneously flash. the mouse is only a month or two old and i do not remember if i had problems with my old mouse.
I have just plugged it into a usb port that is on the side of my pc instead of plugging it into one of the back ones. I will update with if needed for the "lag" however i am still concerned with why exactly it froze like that during boot up. im not going to shut down my computer until i know what the problem was and how to fix it. ill just keep it in a low power setting when i am not using it.
After using powershell to run a system scan and having it hang, I restarted my computer to sort it out and now I'm left with this info stuck on my screen.
I downloaded windows 10 ISO(I purchased it) file and created bootable DVD and USB using Rufus. I want to install windows 10 in one of the system which had corrupted windows 7 in SSD(No data or nothing is required)
My system config is below Intel i5(4th gen) Gigabyte H87 D3H(which has UEFI) and flashed to version 9 Nvidia 9400 GT(driver not updated but the site listing says it is compatible with win 10) 8GB RAM SSD(60 GB, which has corrupted win 7) HDD(500 GB)
Believe I have the minimum system requirement to install Windows 10?After selecting cd/dvd/usb, windows 10 logo appears(without any spinning dots, just plain logo) and get stuck there. I waited for 1-2 hour but nothing happened. I searched and some of them have suggested to remove components and keep only bare minimum. So I tried removing GFX card and the HDD, and kept only SSD(default changed to IGFX).
But even then it doesnt move forward from the windows logo screen. how to move this installation further? Any debugging options? Anything I am missing here? I purchased it and hence I dont want to waste the money I spent on it.I checked in BIOS and I can confirm that Fast boot is disabled or Data Execution Prevention and/or similar options are enabled.
To confim whether my bootable DVD/USB had some errors in initiating setup, I tried running setup.exe within my friends machine(win 7) and it is launching and giving me screens to download updates and/or to enter product key. Images attached which gives indication that setup is launching.
But when I try to run the setup as bootable DVD/USB I get the blue logo screen and nothing happens.(even no spinning dots below logo and/or errors to share) Refer Image - Win10_Bootable_DVD.jpg
So I found this issue in my second laptop that running W10TP. I have HP as my first, and ASUS as the second one.
In my ASUS (2nd) I can't booting the laptop without force shut down through hold the power button, because it always stuck at Windows logo. After shutdown and boot again, I succeeded into the lock screen. But it taking too long in the blank screen for almost one minute.
This issue never happened in my HP laptop.
I've tried many methods to find this issue, system scan, virus scan, update installed drivers, driver scan (it failed). And for a couple days it work so well and I'm happy for that, no more stuck at booting.
But the issue come again after many security update for build 10240. The booting is stuck again and BSOD with pfn_list_ corrupted. After restart the laptop I've tried again all the methods that I've did. And then I found so many viruses and malwares from Windows Defender. It's odd for me because it is never happened before, and suddenly of course.
After the viruses were cleaned, the issue is still persist. I want to reset my laptop from settings/update& security/recovery/reset. Is this necessary to do considering W10 will come in 3 days left?
I bought an asus tranformerbook t200(with windows 10 update) on 11 august and was very happy with it.
Occasionally, the laptop couldnt find any wifi networks but that was fixed quickly by just turning the computer on and off, until today.
Today at school(my second school day at university), i had no internet anymore. He didnt find any networks anymore at all. Turning the laptop on and off wouldnt so a thing. So i tried some things, like turning the broadcom device on and off via device manager. That also didnt work. A user in the internet on another topic suggested to delete the broadcom and then reboot, i did it and things only got worse. My laptop didnt recognize the broadcom wifi adapter anymore at all.
Then I tried to format windows(with saving documents addition) which unfortunately failed. After that, i tried to format it and added the option that everything would be cleaned, that failed also. c windows system32 logfiles srt srttrail.txt is apparently the error.
Now if i start the laptop, the asus logo will show but thereafter the screen just turns black. I tried system recovery and even startup repair but both fail.
I have a Lenovo G500 upgraded to Windows 10. Last night I switched it off but now when I turn it on, it stuck in the startup Lenovo logo. I think that it is a driver issue but I cannot boot it in safe mode to fix it? What can I do? ( I don't mind to lose my files) .
I just recently got a new pc it had windows 8 but i upgraded to windows 10 it was good for a week until today, I tried to boot it up and its stuck at the windows logo and then it says "preparing automatic repair " and it keeps on beeping. I tried to find bios but i couldn't find it, i pressed every key but no bios. I then put a windows 8 disk but it doesn't have an option to boot from cd/dvd. Msi motherboard ...

I have a Windows 10 computer, but whenever I try to turn it on. It just gets stuck on the windows logo. I have tried a recovery USB, but it hangs as well on the windows logo.
When I tried doing an automatic repair, it also hung on the windows logo with Preparing Automatic Repair for hours. I am doing this for my friend, and he doesn't want to loose his important files (yes, i know, he should have backed them up).
I currently have Win10 32bit. I made a bootable USB and DVD to upgrade to the 64bit version, both yield the same results. Each time I try to perform a clean install, it just hangs at the blue windows logo, no spinning circle just the logo. I let it sit for about 4 hours and nothing changes. I've tried many methods but none seem to work.

I downloaded Media Creation Tool 64 bit.First i clicked "Upgrade my PC now" it downloaded Windows 10 and asked me to reboot. After that blue windows 10 logo appeared I have waited like 2-3hours but nothing happened. I tried even installing through USB but same thing blue logo appears and nothing... Why can't i install Windows 10?

I've trying to update an Advent netbook to windows 10 from 7. It's been a hassle all the way with hangs on 'checking for updates'. However, I got through that but now it's stuck on 'Get going fast' screen.
I had selected 'use express settings' and now it's stuck on that screen. The mouse still works but nothing happens. I left it on all night. It's still on the 'get going fast' screen.
If I reboot (even remove battery) I get the initial advent boot screen but no bios info. Del, f12, f11, f2 etc do nothing. The blue 'win 10' logo appears briefly then back to the 'get going fast' screen.
I also tried the usb flash drive that had the old os on it but it won't boot from it despite that being the initial boot setting in the bios. Has win 10 bricked my netbook?
I was given an error message on reboot and followed a guide to editing the registry to restart the download. The download did not restart however, and my windows 10 is stuck in an endless loop of rebooting. I have downloaded a copy of windows 10 and put it onto a USB, but when I try to boot from USB it takes me back to the BIOS. The BIOS are 'Aptio Setup Utility 2011', and don't seem to allow me to change from UEFI boot to LEGACY boot, although the option is apparently there. Why the USB boot is not working correctly and how to make it do so, I am more than happy to reformat the computer but at this moment in time it's useless. The computer is an Alienware x51 from 2011. As previously mentioned the operating system the PC is trying to boot (or install) is windows 10.

I turned on my pc and it froze right after it passed the Blue windows logo screen. A black screen appeared with no cursor.
I rebooted the pc (through the reset button) and everytime it got stuck at the black screen and then rebooted on its own. After a few rounds of black screen and reboots, I got the advanced repair options but it couldn't repair anything.
A very few times that it did manage to go boot and go to the desktop, it froze and didn't let me open any files or folders. Also when I mouse over the files, a black box appears around the icons and the file names appear garbled
I haven't installed anything lately that might cause this to happen.
on my dell laptop I installed windows 10 perfectly fine. I then did a restart of the laptop but every time I turn the laptop on the dell logo shows up and then...... Nothing. Just a black screen. how to fix?
I have installed windows 10 on my computer a month ago and it worked well , but now i have a problem : the pc load , windows 10 logo appears then black screen and the cursor appears ... I havn't changed anything in my configuration nor installed any new software and no upgrade ..

I turn my computer on, see the BIOS just fine, it shows the Windows 10 logo, then a black screen. If I move my mouse around, I see the cursor. After nearly 30 seconds (i'm guessing), my computer reboots itself, and the cycle repeats.
My motherboard is kind of funky. By pressing F8, it actually goes into a BIOS menu that allows me to select which device I want to boot from, instead of going to Safe Mode. This is what I'd like to do, actually, so I can choose my last known good configuration.
Is there any other way to get to this screen to choose my last known good configuration, can I use a USB flash drive and boot to it to get to a repair screen or what course of action should I take?
My hp 500-110et just sits there with a blue hp logo(changed crap as the windows logo). I noticed something, the "loading ring(the one which shows that windows is loading/booting/starting up)" isn't there from the start.
I ran disc repair, it said it would take more than a hoır, but it never finished, so I had to close it. I was just playing AC U, then it froze, so I had to shut my system down from the power button... After I started my pc... you know what happened.
All was good and well, until my Windows 7 on another drive gave me an NTOSKRNL.EXE error (fixed now). My Windows 10 booted fine at this point, but after entering my password, it was stuck on "logging in" for quite some time. I forced a reboot, and then I was stuck in the "Performing Automatic Repair" loop.
I eventually got out of this, only to be greeted by a "BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO" BSOD. After replacing files from RegBack, I managed to get it to boot, but now I just see a black screen with no cursor. I've tried logging in and I had Chrome Remote Desktop but that didn't work either.
It's really not okay for Windows to just mess up randomly. The NTOSKRNL error from the other drive COULDN'T have caused this problem.
Today when I tried to reset my laptop my battery died (I got up to 29% on the reset), because somehow my charger got unplugged. Now when I turn it on I get to the Logo (asus) then get a black screen. (I have tried taking the battery out and pressing the power button for a couple seconds and I got nothing) I don't know what to do!
How can I enter the "choose an option" screen, the blue one. I can reset there. I chose continue to windows 10 and now I keep getting black screen after logo. is there like hotkeys to press while turning on?
Whenever I press the start button I get the Acer logo screen and the loading dots move without a problem. Then I get a black screen for a couple of seconds and then the Acer logo screen again, but this time the loading dots won't move, as if something went wrong, it stays that way (frozen) for a while, after that the windows loading screen appears (nothing written just those moving loading dots) and I finally get the windows lock screen. I don't think this should be happening, it happens both when the fast startup is enabled or disabled.
My pc which i recently upgraded to windows 10 a few months ago without any issues, now its not booting up windows. It starts and i can access the bios page but after that i get a black screen with a blinking small dash/line.
