I have installed Windows 10 in to my Sony Vaio ( Intel i7) and it just knocked everything out.... blank screen and restart endlessly. Lost all my personal data....
It was running smoothly on Windows 7 and windows 10 update App on the system tray downloaded windows 10 and now................. don't know what to do...
Last night I was watching a dvd on my desktop when all of a sudden a blue screen came up with a frowning face and said that "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart, its collecting info and will restart." It happened quickly so I didn't see what the error was but now my PC is stuck in a loop where it restarts and loads into an empty blue screen. It stays on that blue screen for a minute or so and then restarts again. I tried going into my BIOS or starting in safe mode but my PC won't go into them.
View 9 RepliesI had an initial fault with Windows 10 where the start button disappeared so to switch it off I used Alt/F4. That brought up a small screen that allowed me to shut down . The next time I tried it I looked at a couple of options and chose sleep mode...Big mistake. I cannot wake up the screen at all, the computor itself will switch on and off mit the power switch but nothing appears on the screen, it is blank. I have tried hitting various buttons on the keyboard to no avail.
View 2 RepliesThis weekend I had several BSODs while playing games. 2 times the system simply crashed black screen and restarted, 1 time I received a BSOD MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error, and 2 times I received a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN error and a restart.
The MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and one black screen crash occurred while playing Forged Alliance Supreme Commander, then the IRQL errors and a black screen crash occurred while playing Steam version of Age of Empires II.

My Lenovo PC suddenly shut down today and when I restarted it I got a BSOD with a 'bad pool header' message. I did eventually restart but soon shut down again with a 'k mode exception not handled' message. Now when I restart I get a blue page 'RECOVERY Your computer could not start properly. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error: 0xc0000225.'
I have a windows 10 system repair disk but when I try and boot from it I get 'non system disk or disk error'.
I recently (2 weeks ago) replaced the hard drive because the old one was showing SMART errors. I cloned the old disk to an identical disk and it seemed to be going fine until today. Not sure quite what to do next.
I upgraded to Windows 10 everything seems to run fine but system will not restart from the restart selection on the start menu. Windows update will not reboot automatically either. System looks like it is going to reboot, everything shuts down but as system trys to restart everything freezes. Only way around it is to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button. Updated graphics card,hard drive and bios but still no luck.

Yesterday I had deleted a Word document by mistake, so I used System Restore to try and get it back. System Restore told me NOT to turn off the PC whilst it was running, and next thing I know after it got halfway through my PC blue screened and I had to restart. Now every time I load up the PC it does the following...
It loads up to the Windows 10 icon > After a few seconds it says 'Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart' with the error code 0xc000021a > It then restarts itself but THIS time it tries to start Windows Automatic Repair instead > It then says 'Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC', and gives me the option to click Restart or Advanced Options. This is where I'm having the most trouble, as the mouse and keyboard don't seem to be working at all on this screen so I can't even click any of the options. It's like the screen has frozen/crashed > The only way off this is to then force a restart using the power button on the PC.
The above just keeps carrying on in a loop every time I turn on the PC now. I still have access to the BIOS where my mouse and keyboard DO work.
My computer has been fine with no issues what so ever but today it crashed and then when it booted back up it would do the windows 10 loading screen and everything else but when it got to the login screen it just goes black,you can still use the Mouse and win+P still shows the side bar on the screen but the rest is black.
View 1 RepliesNo matter what I do, eventually Windows 10 hangs and never recovers, forcing me to do a hard reset. Sometimes open programs will continue to let me use them, other times not. The Start menu does not respond, however, and any new instances of any programs I try to start never actually load. There is no consistent trend to it at all. At first I thought it was a dying hard drive, but the drive is fine and the problem happens even when it's not being accessed. Then I thought it might be my USB WiFi adapter, but it's working fine as well.
I thought it might be the "the last USB device installed isn't working" notice that keeps coming up (which is amazingly unuseful since I didn't install any new USB devices) and disabled the offending USB port in Device Manager, but that did not stop it either. Windows Update has been completely useless for this as well. The last system hang I experienced happened not even 10 minutes after booting the system up.
I did a bit of research and this seems to have been an issue for a while, or has been in the past. Was upgrading to windows 10, I first had to restart my pc cause it was initially stuck on that preparing to install problem with the green bar being stuck around 25%.
It then got through that and began the installation process with the big circle and rebooting process. However around 91% when I last looked at it it was just black screen, this stayed this way for about 3-4 hours. I then decided to reboot the pc and it has now booted to the login screen. Is this a known bug or could there be a possible issue?
The problem seems a bit different as some people I saw have had to fall back on PC restore points etc. So not sure if it installed or what could be the problem.
Also side note, I upgraded my pc when windows 10 first publically released, but rolled back because I had about 5min shutdown times.
I have just deleted an draft email message in my Windows Outlook. I have searched and tried "so-called solutions" I don't wish to sound over-dramatic but this really is life or death
View 1 RepliesSome days ago I logged as always on my Windows user, but there were no files on the desktop. I found that I'm on another user, which doesn't exist. After some research I found how to get my files back (went to Users/USER/Desktop) and cut>pasted them to the "new" desktop. After restarting my computer and logging in I was back on my old user. The problem is I've cut the files before and now I can't find them. There are only two users (Default and kluse_000 (ME)). Both desktop folders are clean. Tried to search for lost files with "find" command, but it takes too much time (should I leave it running?).

No cursor on screen,clt alt del not working nothing,just blank screen no hdd movement. I tried plugging laptop into TV by hdmi still no screen. Stays that way, nothing else happens.
Screen is not black, a sort of faded blue.
I accidentally hit hibernation button last night. Woke up this morning and the computer will start up but that's it. There's only blank screen. And I can hear the computer on. I also see the power light on from the power button and the plug into the computer.

I can't even turn off my computer through holding down the power button, I have to unplug the power. The first time my computer crashed into this state I was playing a game, the second time I had managed to successfully boot up my computer but it crashed again when I was browsing the Internet.

Today I have been using my PC as usual, I got info of Windows Updates (I'm using Windows 10) I opened up the updates and restarted my PC. As the PC was launching I got no display at all. Blank screen, nothing at all as if the PC was not detected. I tried restarting PC, removing graphics card / ram then replacing them but no use.
View 1 Replieswhen I start up windows 10, type in my password and hit enter, it takes a bit longer to load and but doesnt even load my desktop. I can ctrl+alt+del to get task manager going and open up chrome with that, but it wont load any web pages. I didn't change anything the day before so I dont know whats up. I tried booting into safe mode but it still does the same thing. Luckily I had my old hard drive with 8.1 still installed so I could get on, and everything works fine on it.

View 5 RepliesI have dual booting setup on my pc my main system and my development system but to get the development system my computer first boots the main one then asks me which os i would if the main one it goes right to as it already loaded but if it is the development system it will restart and load that, so my pc has to boot twice. Is there a way from the main system some how i can restart straight to the other one. Both os are windows.
View 1 RepliesOn my system, I have Automatically Restart set in the system failure but when it BSOD's, it says that the system will restart after the dump but it appears it just stays at the blue screen without restarting even after an hour on atleast 3 occasions since I've upgraded to Win10 from Win7 Home Premium on August 11, 2015, the system is able to restart and shutdown normally.
