Aug 24, 2015Taskbar won't autohide. I discovered a program icon in the system tray, that I can exit, and the taskbar will autohide. I uninstalled the program, but the icon keeps reappearing in the system tray, and the taskbar again won't hide. I ran CCleaner, and PC DeCrapifier, but the program in not listed, so I can't remove it. Upon computer restart, the Icon returns to the system tray, and the taskbar won't hide. The program Icon is not listed in the settings for the notifications.

Aug 7, 2015When I first upgraded, the taskbar on my first display was located on the left side of the display and the taskbar on my second display was located on the bottom. I liked this. But I wanted to see how I'd like having both on left hand side. I went into taskbar properties. `Taskbar location on screen` was set to `custom` and I changed it to `left`.
I decided I didn't like this and wanted to change it back. But `custom` no longer appeared in this drop down and I couldn't find any other option to change them separately. Is there any way to change it back? Perhaps a specific registry key?

Windows Taskbar Doesn't Quite Work
Feb 13, 2016Whenever I right click my desktop it brings up the usual thing where I can change my wallpaper etc. but when I left click my taskbar's notifications, volume settings or the internet thing, nothing happens. When I right click any of my apps like, skype, steam, origin, web browser in the taskbar, nothing happens either. Nothing pops up. It just stays like that and doesn't work. I have no clue what started it or how to search for a fix.

Aug 9, 2015I have a problem with my taskbar. I have 2 monitors and I like to keep the taskbar on the secondary display, vertically at the right hand side of the screen. My other half has a separate account on our PC and she has the taskbar the same way.
When she logs in to her account while I'm still logged in and then when I switch back to my profile, the taskbar is being moved from display 2 back to display 1 - however it stays vertically on the right hand side. I.e. Windows can't seem to remember which display the taskbar is on, but it can remember the location of the taskbar.

Jan 15, 2016I have four computers running Win10. On two of them the windows "Start" button on the task bar doesn't work. So I can't get to Settings or Apps. I can right click on the Start button and get the "right-click menu". All of the other task bar buttons work.
What's going on with this? It used to work. For a while it didn't work on my laptop, now that is working but on two other desktop computers it doesn't work. All computers have same Win10 version and latest updates (although hardware differs some between them).
Can I add the "Settings" and "All Apps" shortcut I would normally get left-clicking on the Start button to the Start button's "right-click menu"?

I've modified my power settings to NEVER turn off displays and NEVER put the system to sleep/hibernate.
Nevertheless, after 5 minutes of inaction, displays go dark.
I haven't tested the sleep/hibernate part yet.
Cannot Duplicate Displays After Upgrade
Sep 3, 2015I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X + IN2020M_Digital monitor connected via laptop’s HDMI port. Graphics is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I can no longer Duplicate the displays.However, PC Screen Only, Extend, and Second Screen Only will work.In Device Manager I have uninstalled both the IN2020M and the Generic PnP Monitor and restarted. They were added back but no change.I basically confirmed that the monitor is not the problem because I also can't Duplicate the displays when a projector is connected via HDMI.

Oct 22, 2015Recently upgraded to Win10 pro 64bit. I have an ASUS HD7770-1GD5 video card running both a 26in HD wide monitor as well as a 17in square non HD monitor. Duplicating the screen content on both is what I need. Somehow I had this working great in Win 7, but I must have something set wrong, as the content on both monitors now is indeed the same, but the square screen displays in landscape mode which makes it difficult to see. The clarity of the wide screen monitor is much less than optimal as well. What are the correct settings for this type of setup? I have the widescreen connected via HDMI cable and the older square LCD monitor is connected from the DVI output to a VGA adapter for the monitor.

Nov 4, 2015I'm not sure where the fault may be for this, but here goes. I have a Dell E7250 laptop connected to a standard Dell e-port docking station. My monitor is a Dell U2515H connected via DisplayPort. Anytime I am away from my desk long enough, my laptop goes into sleep/power save. When I wake up the computer, the right side of my laptop shows heavy artifacts. If I unplug the DisplayPort cable from my docking station, then reconnect it, the issue goes away. I've swapped docks, cables, and even monitors, all identical, and I can't seem to narrow this down. I've also updated to the latest monitor driver for Windows 10 x64, and that didn't solve the issue.

Shutdown Screen No Longer Displays
Nov 5, 2015After doing a repair via SFC /scannow I noticed that the shutdown screen no longer displays during shutdown. The Shutting down splash screen displays, then the monitor goes dark. The screen that shows the processes that are hanging with the option to force shutdown no longer displays.
Is there a registry or other setting that will fix this?
I also made some registry changes (after the above) suggested by a magazine but they don't seem to be working. For example, to enable jump lists in the start menu, it said to add a DWORD called EnableXamlJumpView with a value of 1. I did this but no Jump lists.
Networking :: Homegroup Displays More Machines Than Now Exist?
Nov 22, 2015I have a small network of computers and Homegroup is working a little to well. The network has had to have some changes, machines converting to W10 and changing names. The problem is there does not seem to be a way to refresh the Homegroup list of machines that have joined the Homegroup.
Or is there? do you know a way to display only the machines live on the LAN.?
Bluetooth Displays In Notification Area In Error
