My computer restarts after i start a game. It worked just fine a few hours ago but suddenly my pc just restarts after a start a game, it has restarted on Warthunder and CS:GO and when it restarts I don't get a error message or anything, it just black screens and starts over. And I've checked my components temperatures and they were normal so i really don't know whats the problem.
View 1 RepliesI recently decided to build my own computer, however to my horror, Windows 10 is still not working and has caused my computer to randomly cut to black screen, not turn on when the power button is pressed and to restart itself only to cut out 5-10 seconds after powering on.
View 4 RepliesWhen I start my computer it goes to a page that has date and time of day...I click and it goes to a sign in page for my microsoft account with password or pin...Can I start my computer and by pass this and go directly to my desktop page?
View 3 RepliesSo when I try to start up task scheduler it says remote computer was not found. I have tried many things to fix this. I am now running sfc /scannow and have tried to regedit back to original values to no avail. Its dependencies are running and it has full permissions...
View 1 RepliesSo I just turned my computer on and noticed that my desktop had been reset to the default wallpaper and all of my folders had been deleted. I also realised that my documents and pictures had been deleted. I tried to run a game and my save files had been deleted.
I restarted my computer and everything was normal.
Is this an issue computer or just Windows 10 in general?
I've had a problem where I would put my laptop to sleep, and when it wakes up it doesn't save my session; it's basically boots from scratch so when I log in it has to reload all background applications as well as restoring my open applications. I've posted this here because it may be related to the Intel HD Graphics 4400 driver I recently updated (with which I can't roll back, as I just reset the system).
View 9 RepliesI have a ASUS N53S and after having upgraded to windows 10, I came across a few issues. The update when well and windows 10 is working on my laptop, however, I have an issue where I am presented with a black screen when i start my computer. I do see a ASUS screen and a windows boot screen before it goes black, however after the windows boot screen passes (the one with the blueish window icon) the screen goes to black, but it is still on (meaning the monitor is still turned on just not displaying anything). This issue occur after i restart ( few days before doesn't on the laptop). I try to on and off the laptop for few times but still the same problem and the last time i restart again and left it for a night and it doesn't change which still in black screen. So, now what should i do to let it display with desktop since now still in black screen with movable mouse.
View 3 RepliesI use four monitors on my system. Win 10 Pro x64 (actually every version of Windows) seems to start apps in the last monitor the app was closed in. I would rather specify which monitor to start an app in. how to do this?
View 1 RepliesAfter starting install of windows 10 screen is now flashing, can not do anything!

View 1 RepliesWhen I boot up my computer (to windows 10). It will do the Asus splash screen then instead of going straight to windows if does this black screen with the kinda terminal thing (with no writing/text) then goes on to windows. Does this affect my computer?
View 1 RepliesIn Win 8.1 I had two programs that started automatically when starting my computer. After installing Win 10 only one does and I can't find how to make Windows starting the second
I searched in Settings, I searched for the name of the working program to find out in which file it is hidden to joint the second there but I don't find anything.
Tappouch PC not starting. What should i do?
View 4 RepliesI have a problem where if I shut down properly, (not sleep, re-start or any other such incomplete close down) then during the night my computer will apparently attempt to start itself but it sticks with just the window icon on the screen. It is frozen at this point and I have to crash the computer before I can start it properly. I have to resort to crashing the system instead of shutting down to prevent this happening each night.
View 1 RepliesI hooked up my computer to my TV with my VGA cable. After a few seconds, the screen glitched and it was later stuck on the left.
View 1 RepliesWhen I am using my computer, the screen will go black and then go to the lock screen, just like if I had locked it using the start menu. It happens even If I'm actively using my computer. All my power settings are set so that when my laptop is on the "hp recommended" power setting, it will never go to sleep and never turn off the display. I've restarted, and updated my computer.
View 5 RepliesI recently cleaned my computer (got dust out and repasted the heat sink on my processor). I wouldn't even consider myself an amateur computer person, but I know how to use Google and can generally troubleshoot common problems.
To the point: At some point after I put my computer back together and hooked it up to my monitor (that had no previous problems) it started going black for 1 - 2 seconds while I use File Explorer (just browsing) on my computer. The problem is frequent but inconsistent as to when it will do it. If I'm doing something and need to navigate, after opening a file it will sometimes just go black for 1 - 2 seconds and come back as if nothing happened. If say I acted as though the monitor did not go black and pressed enter on a highlighted file, when the monitor refreshed properly whatever I did executed properly. If I'm watching a movie or playing a video game or browsing the internet* or alt-tab between programs on already opened files I do not have this problem. It only occurs when I browse files on my harddrive.
*after I wrote this I went to watch an embedded youtube video and pressed play and it did blink for less than a second after I hit the play button (did not go full screen yet). If I notice anything else I will update this.
One very peculiar thing and I don't even know if it's related or not, is if I leave my computer idle for 2 - 3 hours and come back I cannot get the screen to come up at all (the monitor acts like there is no input) and not only that, my computer reset button is unresponsive. I literally have to do a hard reboot to get my computer to respond. This only happens if I leave it alone for long periods. It doesn't happen as long as I'm using the computer.
After Windows 10's failed attempt to reset, it asked me what I want to do next, try to reset again or return to Windows. I gave up and "returned to Windows" only to discover that Windows is gone and I can only get to BIOS (which I can enter). After the BIOS screen comes a black screen and it appears that the system tries to write something but can't, and only shows underlines, and restarts (but the power remains ON, it doesn't shut down completely).
View 1 RepliesI have just upgraded to Windows 10 and now my computer screen is really zoomed in. I have updated my latest graphics card drivers and have selected the highest screen resolution (1920x1080) and it still is really zoomed in (my desktop icons can't fit on the screen because it's so zoomed in). Also, just to be clear, it's zoomed in everywhere (on chrome, settings, file explorer, start menu, desktop etc.)
View 1 Replieswhat's making it not pop up im trying all the ways to get it to open, i tried:
* regedit in run(win+r)
* registry.exe in cmd with admin rights
* clicking on the main .exe located in the windows folder
I recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. At first everything was working fairly smoothly; however, just recently, my startup programs are not starting up when I turn on my computer. Certain programs that are Enabled in my Startup menu are OneDrive, Google Drive, Growl, etc.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad U410.
My problem is exactly as it says in the title, Cortana isn't starting up with windows 10, I can't use the speech or search functionality. The bar is still there, but I can't type anything into it, I click on the microphone icon and nothing happens, ''hey Cortana'' isn't working at all.
View 1 RepliesI installed windows 10 and now my brother HL-L2380DW doesn't want to print. It keeps on saying "Print spooling service is not running"
View 2 RepliesSo I am in the process of upgrading my other PC to windows 10 from 7 home premium. It has been stuck at the blue screen that says "Setup is starting" with a hourglass. My mouse (the hourglass) still functions correctly but nothing else has moved.
View 1 RepliesAs per title the three applications are the stock Windows Calculator, Movies & TV, and Photos. All three always start up together. I've never seen it happen when I'm actually using the computer but if you leave it unattended for an hour or so when you come back they'll probably be there.
This never happened with Windows 7 prior to updating. I've considered maybe it might be some multi-media keyboard combination mixed with a stuck key but an nkro test doesn't show any key registering when it's not being pressed and no amount of deliberate keyboard mashing has made any of the applications start up.
No other problems with Windows 10, just this one bizarre issue.
