Touch Screen Keyboard Rarely Appears?
Jul 21, 2015On W8.1, it'd appear on just about every blank box I'd touch with my finger. Now it almost never appears, for anything. Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

Jul 14, 2015Since I was wiping a PC anyway, I've installed W10pro x64 to decide if it could work.
Obstacle #1: I need to allocate a mouse button to switch between touch mode and desktop (wimp style) mode. What is the keyboard shortcut to bind for this? Or is there a script I could set the mouse button to launch if there is no keyboard shortcut available yet?
Obstacle #2: Persuade Logitech to make 4 finger swipe up switch to/from touch mode on the T650.
Touch Pad Got Stuck So Often And Keyboard Began Typing By Itself
Sep 6, 2015Upgrade from Window 8 to Window 10. My HP laptop notebook seems like it has been process by evil spirits. The touch pad got stuck so often and the keyboard began typing by itself with endless number 9. Sometime, it refused to do the work. How to get rid of these demons from my computer. I am unable to buy a new one after the warranty ran out after 1 year.

Dec 6, 2015I'm using a tablet for input on my windows 10 desktop pc and while the touch keyboard is invoked fine throughout the system and even Edge, when I try to type stuff in Chrome, nothing happens. I have to manually invoke the keyboard via taskbar icon.
I do have a physical keyboard connected to the pc but as the tablet is placed in front of the keyboard, I want to keep using the touch keyboard. If I remember correctly it worked just fine with windows 8.1.
Touch Screen Scrolling
Aug 6, 2015I upgraded to Win. 10 8/3. Everything seemed to work fine for 2 days. Then yesterday, the 5th, I could no longer scroll sites up or down by touching and moving my fingers up or down. The other touch functions still work, like going to links or sites, the 'click here' (touch here) options, close,etc. I can even scroll by touching the scroll bar and moving it up or down or right or left. My fingers don't scroll anymore unless they move the bar. And I just noticed areas on the sites don't get bigger or smaller with just fingers touching them and moving them farther apart either. But I don't know if that's supposed to happen. It did with Win 8.

Mar 8, 2016When I restart my PC and get to the Windows loading screen (the one with circle that is spinning) after few seconds a black screens appeares for a moment and after that once again I see the spinning circle (loading screen). But this time the circle is lagging. After that I see wait a moment text and aftert that a I normally get to the Windows but it just simply takes a while. This happened to me out of nowhere (it used to boot normally until yesterday). I reinstalled OS and I have got still the same problem. I chcecked my HDD with HDD regenerator and it showed no bad sectors or delays.

Jan 22, 2016Running Windows 10 Home. Build 10240. When I start the system the screen is black. When I go into File Explorer and click on Desktop all of the items appear there. I can click on say e-mail and I can get into mail and read or answer them.
could I use mct and get the latest there and then do an upgrade which should keep all of my data and files. I originally did the upgrade from Windows 7 Home and that all went well.
After Login Black Screen Appears
Nov 13, 2015I made the update today. Finally windows starts up, desktop appears but everything went very slow. I decided to make a restart. So far "so good".
After restart, after login screen, it has a black screen and nothing happens. If I move the mouse it will show it. The black screen remains. I try to go to safe mode, with shift + restart. Not working either. What can I do??
Broken Touch Screen Prevents Login?
Feb 24, 2016I broke the Acer R7 touch screen. The break in the top right corner causes the touch screen to randomly change the mouse focus even if I do not use the laptop. The crack in the screen takes focus away from the login prompt box as I type in my password.
It was using Windows 8.1 and with some difficulty was able to disable the Devices>Touchscreen Then it worked fine when touchscreen device driver was disabled.
I then upgraded to Windows 10 which re-enabled the touchscreen However the touchscreen mouse movements wont even let me login.
I would like to disable the Windows 10 Device>touchscreen driver as I did in Windows 8.1 But cannot even login.

Aug 7, 2015I have been having a problem with disabling the touchscreen in my windows 10 laptop. At one point, my laptop fell on cement. Luckily no hardware was damaged except for the screen's glass, losing its touchscreen capability. The problem is that the screen keeps recording false touches, making it difficult to get work done. I took the liberty of disabling the screen on Device Manager, however, after a few boots, the touch screen was somehow re enabled. I tried uninstalling the device, but it is built into the windows operating system and would simple be re enabled at the next boot. Is there any way to keep windows from recognizing the touchscreen without physically removing the touchscreen?

Aug 10, 2015Everything has been working great until very recently. After the Cumulative update my computer has been going into the "Recovery" screen when the computer tries to go to sleep. The problem with this is that my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard does not work at that time.
After connecting a USB mouse and keyboard, I selected to restore from a previous point (before the update). Though the system went through the motions, it stated that the restore was not successful. However when it booted back up, the system was restored to an earlier spot. System found updates and installed which started the loop again.
How to stop the machine from going into Recovery mode?
I have
Dell XPS8700
i7 processor
32 gb of memory
64 bit system
256gb Solid State Boot drive
1) I can boot into Windows 10 fine from a cold boot.
2) When the computer tries to sleep and I get the Recovery screen, I can select the option to reboot the computer and it boots up.
3) Normally I do not need to enter my password. After I reboot from Recovery screen, I have to enter a password.
4) Also if I use the keyboard to place the computer into sleep, it does NOT go to the Recovery screen but sleeps like it suppose to.
