I just updated to Windows 10. I always run pc tools to keep my pc clean. After i updated my PC to 10 i ran my super anti spy software and all my tools. I mostly just find 50 or 70 things to get rid of all tracking stuff but after 10 i run it and get 2172 tracking cookies . I think its the app store tracking me. Can i find something in settings to turn this off or don't worry about it?
View 11 RepliesMy SUPERAntispyware (free) seems to do a better job than Norton at blocking tracking cookies. It blocked 7 or 8 a day on average on my Win7. It's just stopped 257 that have arrived in the past TWO days on my new Win10. Nearly everyone had the name Microsoft in its title.
(1) Should I just accept that this is now the normal way of life and not get angry with Microsoft for the intrusions?
(2) Does Windows Defenders block tracking cookies? Being cynical, is it programmed to let through all those with Microsoft in its name?
I use IE11 - not Edge
Have the mike setup also location but can't seen to get it turned on.

View 2 RepliesI am having an issue with the Windows 10 machines that I have installed thus far. I do not use a screen saver, but use the power settings to turn off the display after a certain period of time. When the display goes off, it forces me to authenticate to get back on the computer. I have tried to shut off the screensaver, check, than uncheck the box for "On resume, display logon screen". No matter what I do, I cannot get this to NOT make me authenticate when reawakening the display.
I do run a domain at my house for background info. Been working on this for a few days now with no real progress.
Is it safe to set the Diagnostic Tracking Service and dmwappushsvc to Disable or Manual? If so which of the two setting is better?
View 6 RepliesLast night, Dec 3, 2015, windows automatically updated and this morning my computer gave me a new windows startup screen. All my stuff was there, it seems a new version of windows was installed.
Windows 10 home, 64 bit.
I attempted to check my email the usual way, by the Comcast web site, at xfinity.com. I received error messages that I needed to enable cookies. I checked my settings and cookies were still set where I left them, blocking third party cookies only.
I re-tried several times, getting the same error messages, so I enabled all cookies. I still get the same error message, I cannot access my email because cookies are not enabled.
I want to lean to delete cookies and history. how do I do this on windows 10?

View 1 RepliesI am having problems with me Mouse and key board, on boot up they will turn on for about 20 seconds then turn off. Then a error comes up,inaccessible_ boot_drive. But if I restart my pc the mouse and keyboard will do the same thing but instead of the error I get, choose keyboard layout, and a list of options but I cant choose them because the mouse isn't working. This all started happening after I upgraded my power supple but I when I put my old power supple in I had the same problem. View 4 RepliesPower & Sleep settings won't save my screen brightness settings. On my plugged in HP laptop default the screen brightness is set to maximum despite making changes in the Power & Sleep menu screen. I've even tried creating my own Power Plan but the next time it restarts it changes to the HP recommended power plan which sets the screen brightness to maximum.

View 6 RepliesHow can I remove the login screen? Is there a workaround or do I need to sign off completely from MS account? It would be perfect if I could somehow just remove it from startup. Ill explain you what I mean, when I turn on the PC I want it to boot up without me entering a PIN otherwise the programs on background wont start. But when the PC is already running and I am away from it I would prefer if the PIN function is working. But if its not possible I want it to disable completely.
My PC is set to turn on by itself at 9:00 AM so some important programs can boot up while I am not at home but they wont cause there's noone to enter the PIN right?

I would like to stop receiving notifications. In Control Panel/Security and Maintenance this feature is listed under "Maintenance" with no option to disable. On the left side there is a link for:
"Change Security and Maintenance Settings", but there is no option there either to turn this off.
My Question is that how can I permanently turn off windows 10 updates . I am using Windows 10 Enterprise .
