I have just got a new hp laptop with Windows 10 already installed. When I first set it up I was asked for an email address and password, I entered my hotmail email address and password and it allowed me to continue. Since then when I have tried to access hotmail.com on internet explorer it won't load at all. And when I've tried to access it on the mail icon on the home screen, it opens up but says that my account needs to be updated so I click on the link to do this and every time it starts to load for a few minutes then comes up with an error?
My problem is that I can't access UEFI Firmware settings or Boot from USB/DVD in the Advanced startup. They are missing. What can I do? I want to go back to windows 8.1 (Don't have windows.old folder), but it gives me an error when I install it when windows is running. That's why I want to boot from DVD, but I can't.
After the latest Widows pro 10 update I am unable to access my home network drives. Both the Synology and Buffalo drives were accessible but now are not viewable from the desktop.
I recently upgraded my PC to windows 10 and every since have been unable to access any USB external drive. The laptop picks up the drives and acknowledges that they are there and working but they do not appear in file explorer. I have looked in disk management and the drives are there and healthy. The USB ports work 100% as i have plugged in keyboards etc to test and all the drives i've tried work with other computers. I've reinstalled windows twice. Ran various disk cleanup utilities, checked for hidden drives etc.I need to upload video files to my laptop to edit for work.
I have a NAS (WD MyBookLive) which cannot be accessed in Windows Explorer on my brand new Surface by IP address (or name- though that doesn't work on any of my devices for some reason). I can access the config page in my browser by IP, and two other Win10 devices on my network can access the NAS by IP in Explorer fine, and I can access other devices on my network by IP fine on the Surface but for whatever reason only this computer can't access that NAS in Win Explorer.
I just got the Surface yesterday and was able to access the NAS fine, the only thing that's changed is I renamed the device and restarted and since then haven't been able to connect. I've restarted both the PC again and the NAS but no change.
I am currently unable to access my Local Disks, or open programs inside them, such as the task manager, user account control, and even the registry editor. Attempting to open anything (With administrator priveleges) just result in an access denied message. I have tried multiple solutions off the first searches on google, though none of them have worked, due to the things required in those solutions not being able to be accessed.
I have even tried to reset my PC and reinstall Windows, though when I click the "Get Started" button, nothing happens. Is there any hope left for me, or do I need to get new drivers and abandon my valuable data?
I've recently upgraded my home PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I've been using a Realtek USB Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the internet. After installing the new OS and running it for the first time, I couldn't connect to my home network.
After reinstalling the drivers supplies by the manufacturer and reattaching the adapter, I attempted to again connect to the network. The "Verifying and connecting" message displayed, but after closing Settings and returning to the same page, all of the Wi-Fi settings have disappeared, like the drivers have crashed.
When I try to access Settings, I get the following error:

I tried the command-line suggested and right after I hit enter, I get a flash of a window popping up on my screen and then it's gone. It's so quick I can't see what it's trying to open.
I connected the printer to my computer and I'm able to print pages from a browser, my problem is I'm unable to access the printer directly to scan files. I've tried deleting and re installing that didn't work. The printer is an HP Deskjet 3050 ...

Start menu remains open all the time, even after rebooting multiple times. I am unable to shut the start menu and am not able to access my desktop. No application opens in the small size but all only work with a full screen.
I'm unable to access the start menu, cortana, or even my calendar. Can't even do it in safe mode.The thing is though, this is only on my main account (which happens to be a microsoft connected account), I have no issue accessing them with the other two (local) accounts on my computer. I've uninstalled any software or updates that I had installed prior to this issue appearing and ran a virus scan but the problem still persists. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point because this is such a weird issue.

Running windows 10 pro here. I open iexplorer and open Hotmail and I went to create a new email to one of my contacts and noticed when I was typing in the email address that it didn't auto display from my contacts. I then clicked on the settings and selected 'People" and all I get is the beads just spinning for a while and then get "This page is temporarily unavailable.Funny thing when I open firefox and go into Hotmail I can see my contacts and when I select "People" it instantly displays all my contacts. What the heck changed in iexplorer for me yo lose all the contacts?
Where your start screen/menu just crashes or vanishes after a second or two. This only started happening for me now in build 10166, and the menu was behaving beautifully in the earlier build (10162). I am unable to access all apps or customize my tiles. Most of the time it makes is very difficult to actually clck or tap on any of the tiles either to run something.
I've tried to change the configuration between "menu" and "screen" to see if its restricted to one of them, but both of them vanish after a few seconds.
Made the mistake of linking my wife's Hotmail account to the user account on windows 10, I had to reset the password through Microsoft so now when logged in it also opens up her Hotmail account because both are the same. Her account is also an administrator. Is there anyway to change this? Can I make another account as administrator?
I have deleted and recreated the *.ost file several times and it still asks for the password several times and then comes up with the following message. "Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:UsersEdAppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlooksundancer245_hotmail1.ost is not an Outlook data file (.ost)." I have no problem accessing this account in FireFox and none of my other Hotmail and Outlook accounts are causing this problem in Outlook 2010. I am running Windows 10 on this computer and on my Wife's Tablet and I can access the Problematic Hotmail account from the Tablet and also from my new Lumia 950XL windows Phone 10.
I now get "Network Operation Failed" and below that, "Error with send/receive. There was an error synchronizing your folder hierarchy. Error: 80041004"
This Outlook install is part of Office 2010. Everything was running fine until this morning. I did a lot of searching and found a reference to a Control Panel setting. However, now, it appears that Control Panel has gone missing!!! I ran a utility on the command line, I forget the actual command, to deal with corrupted files. It found some issue, so it said. I rebooted. Nothing has changed... I've wasted the whole day so far.
I don't know if it is related but I seem to also have problems on some web sites displaying images. As if the HTML is displayed only, without the css settings. (Chrome browser) - same on Firefox browser.
My new win 10 tablet is asking to the pw to this account, since the Hotmail account does not exist how can I get into my computer now! While windows 10 is seeking this email address, I am totally unable to access my tablet.
How can I fix this without a compete restart which will loose some valuable information that was stored on it. As this is a new system, there are no backups made.
Having got all of my standard stuff, including having MS Outlook handle my email accounts, sorted out; I decided to give the new Windows 10 Mail Application a try.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to do a darned thing:-
1. With my Hotmail account I get error code 0x80070032. I've tried a couple of suggested "solutions" without success. 2. With my Gmail account I get "We didn't find anything to show here" or "Still working on it". Either way nothing shows up.
