View 5 RepliesIn my computer I use Windows 10 x64 and I have 6 GB of RAM installed. I face the problem of high usage of Ram from System process. Although I hear that this is something normal for Windows 10, this tends to freeze my PC or prompts me to close running programs although I do not have that much open. I updated all my drivers, I also tried everything proposed in various solutions around the web but the problem still exists. Could it be some update of Microsoft? A friend of mine running Windows 7 with 8GB RAM installed in his computer, faces the same problem the last weeks too.
View 1 RepliesI've been trying to uninstall google chrome for a while but each time I try to do, I get a message that says " Please close all google chrome windows (including those in Windows 8 mode) and try again"...
I don't even know what that means, what does it mean by windows 8 mode and how can I uninstall the program?
I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10, but it told me I need to uninstall Buffalo TurboPC EX Series. I looked in the uninstall a program screen, and couldn't find it. Is there a way to uninstall it?
View 4 RepliesHow do you delete a program that wont uninstall? Normal uninstall just hangs, deleting the program folder and running ccleaner to clear the registry still has it showing up.
View 5 RepliesHow can I uninstall Windows 10? I am having a ton of problems and no longer want to deal with them. I cannot go to the Control Panel and say Uninstall the program since the Control Panel Uninstall Programs shows only very small % of the programs I have on the computer. Just one of the many problems. I do have a Windows 8.1 flash drive from Dell so I can reinstall Windows 8.1.
View 8 RepliesI just wonder why some of my apps are not listed there?! I also tried "apps and features" from settings and still some of my installed software don't show up there either!
Even tried with 3rd party uninstaller program (Revo) and still no trace of these installed software!

View 8 RepliesSystem Information Program Tool We had this I remember on 7 forums and was wondering if we had it here on 10 forums. Very handy for filling in system specs. If not I guess I'll just have to type.
View 9 RepliesTaskbar won't autohide. I discovered a program icon in the system tray, that I can exit, and the taskbar will autohide. I uninstalled the program, but the icon keeps reappearing in the system tray, and the taskbar again won't hide. I ran CCleaner, and PC DeCrapifier, but the program in not listed, so I can't remove it. Upon computer restart, the Icon returns to the system tray, and the taskbar won't hide. The program Icon is not listed in the settings for the notifications.

My PC is a home build with ASUS mother board, XENON CPU and 16 GB of RAM; it has run flawlessly for two years on Win 7 Pro; I changed to the "free" Win 10 dwnld and everything ran smoothly for past 3 months. Started up today and "no screen" with the typical bios info and nothing but darkness. I'm not sure if this is a virus security problem since my past experiences all had screen feed back with bios access prior to Windows starting. Assuming some villain attacked my PC at its heart by somehow messing up the bios set up, I tried restoring any lost or corrupted files using a flash drive with the ASUS ROM file on the MB disc as well as a latest downld. Still no relief. If not a security matter or a Win 10 fault, perhaps the mother board failed at some innocuous point which allows the board to function with all fans running and using power. I thought the NVidia adapter card could be at fault and installed a tested spare with no change in lack of video for the bios. Still have to test the power circuits and will let you know of any success.

View 9 RepliesMy PC was running Windows 8.1 with no problem. I upgraded to Windows 10. Installation went fine, but right after I logged in to windows, it started to continuously run a shell script in background. A shell window pops up on the computer screen every few seconds for a fraction of a second.
This happens everytime the computer is powered on. Not only this is very disturbing, it also resets any text windows that are open at that time. So, if I am typing a password, it comes in the middle and wipes off the text from the text window.
I have tried disabling all startup programs and several running processes, nothing seem to solve the problem.
My computer has been having a problem with locking up randomly. Hard reset is the only way to recover. I ran stress test on CPU, GPU, memory checker, Sea gate tools was never able to recreate the problem or find any issues with any hardware. I also swapped out video cards and still had the same issue. I also monitored temperatures and never had it get hot. But if i reboot into safe mode with networking windows never locks up.

View 1 RepliesI have Windows Defender set to not show on the taskbar and it normally doesn't show in any form however when I launch the program or do a scan, the "show hidden icon" arrow will appear on the taskbar and if I click it, the Windows defender icon is there.
Once I'm done with Windows defender and have closed it, the hidden icon arrow remains along with the defender icon that can be accessed by clicking it.
How can i make this hidden icon arrow either never show when I do a win defender scan or at least go away once done with my use of Win defender - like the way it was before I clicked it? Restarting the computer btw does remove it until I launch it again.
Even though I have it set in Properties to auto hide the task bar, it stays up on the screen. This has caused some difficulty when I've tried to download a program in Edge, and the "Run" button is hidden behind the exposed task bar.
View 10 RepliesFreaking windows 10 has frozen. I can login into my Computer that's it. After that it stays blank, nothing on the bottom just blank. Tried restarting without closing it down properly because I can't. This usually puts it into repair mode after 2 times but of course it is not working. Just goes back to normal (blank screen). There is a security app that pops up. But only the top link appears then I get the black background with .
