My Lenovo PC suddenly shut down today and when I restarted it I got a BSOD with a 'bad pool header' message. I did eventually restart but soon shut down again with a 'k mode exception not handled' message. Now when I restart I get a blue page 'RECOVERY Your computer could not start properly. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error: 0xc0000225.'
I have a windows 10 system repair disk but when I try and boot from it I get 'non system disk or disk error'.
I recently (2 weeks ago) replaced the hard drive because the old one was showing SMART errors. I cloned the old disk to an identical disk and it seemed to be going fine until today. Not sure quite what to do next.

I had updated to Windows10 a couple weeks ago. Everything was running smoothly until my most recent NVidia gfx driver update. It seemed to stall at 99% completion and then I lost the sound to my computer.
After numerous attempts to fix my sound I decided to just restore my computer and wipe it clean. Big mistake.
Again upon 99% completion of the restore process my computer crashed and then entered an infinite loop and booting and loading to a screen that would say "innaccessable boot driver".
This seems to be a common problem with windows10 and people who restored or wiped their computer, they all got the same error message I did. Except the fixes that have worked for them aren't working for me.
I have even purchased a fresh copy of windows 8 and a new SSD in attempt to remedy this but to no avail. Even after removing my other SSD's and keeping only the new one in, it now loads to a screen that says "reboot and select proper boot device, or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".
I have tried messing around in the bios but nothing I do seems to work.
I have a MSI g45 z87 gaming mobo
Gtx780
Kingston ssd

Nine times out of ten the shutdown procedure on the recently installed Windows 10 O/S hangs on shutdown. The only way I can close down the system, after a suitable pause, is to turn off the current, which doesn't seem to do any harm as the system restarts normally the next time I boot it up, but it irritates me considerably.
I am running an HP Z230 tower PC with an Intel i7 processor, 8 GB of RAM, 990 GB hard disk and a 64bit O/S.

My son's PC upgraded to W10 and was running fine for 1 month. After an update 2 weeks ago, it slowed to a crawl taking 30-60 min to finish startup and 10 min to launch apps. Rolling back to Windows 8 didn't work. Malwarebytes didn't find anything but Chrome/Firefox stopped loading so I am limited in doing further scans. The only thing that works in real time is the mouse cursor. Based on the task manager, the CPU use is low but the C: disk is always at 100%. I don't want to wipe all stuff with a reset.

I have the following problem. I upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can't access the disk of my other computer.
- Both PCs have the disks access open for everyone (home network).
- Both have the same password.
When I try to enter the C: drive of my other PC, I get an error that I don't have the privilages to do so.(I see them on the network, but I can't access them).

I'm trying to install Windows 10 clean install on my laptop via USB. I've gotten to the point where I'm configuring the hard drive and I got the message in the title "Windows cannot be installed to this disk"
I then deleted the existing hard drive and had roughly a TB of unallocated space. Created a new partition and formatted only to get the same message.
Background: Purchased an HP Elitebook 8460p a month ago running Win7 Pro. Can't quite remember how it was running when I first started it up. I upgraded to 10 a little over a week ago using window's upgrade. Immediately I felt it was running really slowly. I have 10 on a desktop which runs really smoothly. I checked and found that the laptop was consistently running at 100% disk usage. I looked up and tried various different fixes to the 100% disk usage problem including removing BITS and superfetch.
I felt that maybe there was a problem with Win 10 on the laptop so I used the native revert to 7 program in windows 10. I found that even in 7, the computer was running terribly slow. I decided to just do a clean install of 10 and here is where I am now.
Specs:
Intel Core i5
8GB DDR3 SDRAM
1TB HDD
I've read other threads here and elsewhere regarding the SATA device mode changing from IDE to AHCI. I just checked and it is already set at AHCI.

It won't let us access the local disk and says we don't have permission. I am the only user. It won't let us save anything on that disk either. I have gotten all of the documents, videos, and pictures backed up so that's not an issue. We are really just trying to reset the computer with a fresh start but it wont let us.
Resetting the computer- This wouldn't let me because it said it had an error. I did this by holding shift while restarting and then troubleshooting from there. I've tried the option of saving files and also whiping the whole computer, both ways won't work.Booting in safe mode- it works but nothing has come out of doing anything in that mode.

I updated my PC last night and when it was over, I shut it down. This morning, when I woke up and started it, I tried entering my PIN and it told me that it was incorrect. I tried entering my MS password, which I know it's correct, and it told me the same thing. Now I can't log in on my computer.

When i was editing my new YouTube video on Windows Movie Maker on my Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 Core/4GB RAM) and i stupidly kept ignoring the low RAM warning signs telling me to close Movie Maker so when i gone in to full sceen mode everything went completely blank(dark) and nothing was there on the sceen.
So i waited when the battery died and charge it and i tried to boot up the tablet and i saw the Acer logo(and the loading thing) but after it stays on the blank(dark) page, nothing is coming up now, it won't go to the lock sceen and the CPU fan is always going on and off as well, i can't do a single thing on it now. . and will doing a hard reset get it all back to normal again??? Has the hardrive failed or is it something else?

I recently updated my windows 10 pc. Now when i try to open any app it just crashed right away doesn't matter if its a windows app or not. I tried doing a system restore and that didn't work. It wont even let me reset my computer it just says something went wrong. It runs fine in safe mode so it has to be something running. I have tried end process for everything and its still not working.

I've been working on my wife's computer that has had Win10 for the last several months. Her computer completely refuses to update Windows anymore. The updates will get stuck downloading at 0% even overnight and it uses up so much of the system resources that the computer slows to a crawl, taking ages to respond to any action, if it does at all.
Things I've tried:
1) Clearing out the Software Distribution folder
2) System restore
3) Windows update troubleshooter
4) Completely reinstalling Win10 via the Reset option in the Recovery menu (choosing to delete all files and programs)
The computer still locks up when trying to download any Win10 updates. The computer is a reasonably new desktop with 16GB of RAM and an AMD 8-core processor (I can get the more specific specs off of it if necessary).

I restarted Windows 10, and it started installing updates. The computer restarted a couple times saying it was installing updates, and eventually it said that there was a problem installing the updates, and that it was reverting changes. It hung on this is screen for about five minutes, and then (my arm touched the keyboard in this instant, not sure if any buttons were pressed) I got a blue screen, with the error code disappearing too fast for me to read and remember it. Now when my computer attempts to start up, it shows the gigabyte 3d bios splash screen, goes to a black screen with a command prompt-esque cursor blinking, maybe five or so lines from the top. At this point it seems the only input it will accept is ctrl-alt-del, which restarts it and leads to the same outcome.

I managed to get an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro on my Windows 7 machine, with it waiting to install. I did not wish to do this! I additionally managed to get it to not install and my updates no longer show it as available. I did also manage to get an ISO for later use. I wish to delete the crashed install and it's files, such as the $Windows~* stuff shown below ....

I have a Intel Nuc, which I set up myself with windows 8.1 this was upgraded to windows 10.I tried to reset windows 10 tonight as im selling the computer, it got stuck at 66%, reported an error about not being able to complete, after a number of attempts and the same result i chose the option to restart pc.
Upon restart i now get nothing at all, no bios screen, no windows screen, not recognising prompts from keyboard. Tried external dvd player with original windows disc in, usb powers it but nothing. Just a black screen of nothing!!!! Monitor recognises hdmi cable is connected, its like the pc wont display anything.
