View 9 RepliesGetting this Error code: 0xC004F034 after upgrade to windows 10?
View 9 RepliesI received notification that my Windows 10 reservation is now ready. After downloading and preparing to install through Windows Update, I receive a failure notice with error code 80070005.
I am currently on Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I have administrative privileges.
For several months, I've had an ongoing issue when I run 'sfc /scannow', corrupt files are found, some of which it cannot be repaired. From the CBS.log file, I found these related to "utc.app.json". I was assured that when Microsoft sent out update for DiagTracking (KB3022345), it causes a false positive for file corruption.
Also worth noting is that I currently have my boot SSD partitioned and configured to dual boot Windows 8.1 Pro and Linux. This all works fine, and I've been told this shouldn't be a problem for upgrading to Windows 10.
I would like to do an in-place upgrade to Windows 10, not a clean install, so that I keep all of my software and settings as they are.
So i did a BIOS Update on my Msi Mobo. I Have an Activate Windows Watermark on the bottom right corner. But it only just came up randomly after the pc being online and on desktop for 4-5 hours. But if i would to restart my pc my windows would be activated when i first start upp but if i stay online and keep pc online on desktop the activate windows will pop upp again. My key works if I am starting windows with it activated.
Updated 2-3 hour later. So i restart pc the minute i posted this and got into windows and the activate windows wasn't there. But after playing The Division for like 2-3 hours the windows activate came across my screen. And i look up error and theres nothing on google.
Error Code: 0xD000000272
I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64 using the method that everyone knows about by now that was written up on various sites today i.e.:
Ran the Media Creation Tool and upgraded my copy of Window 8.1 Professional with Windows 10 Professional. Looked in Control Panel --> System and it said my copy of Windows was activated. Then I ran the Media Creation Tool again and downloaded the ISO. Burned ISO to DVD. Restarted computer, booted into Windows installer on DVD, customized the install by formatting drive, did a fresh install of Windows 10.
Now when I go into Control Panel --> System it says "Windows not activated". When I click on the Activate Windows icon and click the error details link I get the error code: 0xC004C003.
I should note that the Windows 8 OS came pre-installed on my laptop which I bought brand new. I don't think that matters?
i just upgraded my original Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and when i try to activate it, Windows gives me an error
"Windows cannot be activated, please try again later"
How can i solve this?
I am trying to install the following update:
When I get the following error and errorcode:
Restarting is not working.
Just found myself diggin' more and more in bugs and troubles in Windows 10. Now, when I'm looking for updates with Windows Update it shows me that the Updates cannot install and to check it out later, and then gives me an error code: 0x800705b4.
I don't know how to fix this, I have been looking for this error code in the gigant sea of the Internet but nothing. I'm growing tired of Windows 10 Mountains of Bugs. I know it's still not finish and it's never ever gonna be finish, but this is just too much, adding that I'm with the people who cannot download/update apps from the Store and cannot open the Mail/Calendar/OneNote apps.
For some reason Windows 10 keeps failing to install updates every time, worse yet it won't give an error code .
View 1 RepliesI guess the title says what my problem is. So, I finaly got to install KB3081444 without any issues, and now, this update is doing infinite restarts on Windows Update. I tried:
1. Installing from offline downloaded installer - the same error code.
2. Did DISM, both commands failed.
3. SFC says no issues.
Windows Update files will be shortly.
I'm having this issue on a Store purchased Toshiba Satellite Pro which had Windows 7 Home Prem. I followed all the upgrade instructions and it all looks good except it's not activated. Product key blocked. Error code: 0xC004C003
View 9 RepliesI upgraded from 8.1 on Dell XPS 8700 and the download and installation completed flawlessly. I did a winver and it shows Windows 10 Build 10240.
However, it will not validate, showing the error : "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. (Error code: 0x8007007B)"
I also ran software that returned the following information.
"Windows Product Key Information
Product Name: Windows 10 Home
Product ID: 00326-30000-00001-AA668
Installed Key: TX9XD-98N7V-6WMQ6-BX7FG-H8Q99
OEM Key: *****-*****-*****-*****-HFQ2D
OEM Edition: Win 8.1 RTM Core OEM:DM
What am I missing? Or is it really a Windows Activation Server Issue? OS is great, everything works fine with it.
I had upgraded from W8.1 and Windows 10 was activated. I was under the impression that I didn't need a product key and that my PC would be recognized after doing a clean install. Now I have W10 installed fresh, but get the error code: Error code: 0xC004C003
View 9 RepliesThere is an update available for windows update. But when i try windows shows no updates found with an error code 8024402F ... Why am I not getting an update for Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesI tried to upgrade to Windows 10 from pro 7. When going online I get this message....
explorer. exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x60B52556 referenced memory at 0x60B52556. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program.
If I close with the "x" I can continue. But when I close Firefox I get a black screen and have to restart. Anytime I use a program it does this. What to do.
Trying to upgrade my wife's PC via windows update. so far failed about 10 times with different errors. Latest it downloaded everything, completed the install, rebooted shows the x% complete screen, rebooted, briefly showed the Win10 icon and the small circle of white dots, rebooted and back at win7
Error log just says
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xe06d7363: Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586.

Anti virus is just Windows Security.
Although I have been notified that my upgrade is ready to install, every time I try this it fails with an error message code of '80070002'. I've followed MS instructions on how to fix but guess what - it still fails.
View 4 RepliesUpgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586. has been installed but the Restart Now button did not work. It says
We're having trouble restarting to finish the install. Try again in a little while. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support. This error code : (0x80070032)
I manually restart the PC but the update did not applied.
I have reserved my copy of Windows 10 and have attempted five times to upgrade but it just keeps failing.
The error code is: 80240020.
I have made sure that my laptop meets the specification, which is does, and also the disk space on my harddrive too.
After I updated to Windows 10 I get multiple "Powershell has stopped working" errors. How do I get rid of this error.
Things I have tried: Downloaded Malwarebytes and ran scan - did not fix issue. Downloaded RegCurePro and ran scan
I originally got win10 through the free upgrade from 8.1 and did the install that only replaces system files etc. Some things weren't working correctly such as the sleep function and I kept being unable to login due to the start menu and Cortana not starting, so I decided to do a reset of the OS.
I managed to reset and get a fresh install of win10 but now I can't get activation to work. I've run all the windows updates and tried the slmgr.vbs /ato command but it says my product key is blocked.
My computer's SSD failed, and I just bought a SSD and installed Windows 10 on it. However, it is not activated. I originally had Windows 7, then installed Windows 8 Pro, then upgraded to Windows 10. This is all legal.
However, I ran a BIOS product key checker on my computer, and it shows that I don't have a product key in my BIOS. Is there anything I can do?
This is also quite an old machine (from 2007), would it support BIOS product key?
If I understood this : clearly, then does it mean that Windows will activate itself from some Windows activation servers that are somehow written into my hardware even if I do a clean install deleting everything in my Windows partition?
Also, since the built-in "Create a Recovery Drive" will take forever or display an error when ''Backup system files to the recovery drive' is checked", I'm trying to create an Installation media. But I'm stuck with which ISO I should download. Now, there's Windows 10, Windows 10 Single Language, Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Home N. I'm running Windows 10 Home at the moment. Which was upgraded from Windows 8.1(I think there was ''Single Language'' written after "8.1", not sure though). Which Version should I download. And if I install the wrong version by chance, will Windows still activate after I find out and install the right version? Please clarify these.... I'm really looking forward to do a clean-install to get rid of all the errors and bugs with drivers and just start over.
*DETAILS: Windows 10 Home Build 10240 [Upgraded via free upgrade, had an OEM version of Windows 8.1 when first bought]
I have a watermark that says, "Activate Windows Go to Settings to activate Windows". I upgraded from windows 7 and then I replaced my cpu and mother board a month ago and now this message appears and I do not have a product key to activate it with.
View 4 Repliesi got a brand new computer recently that came with windows 10. i had to reinstall it a few times because of issues i thought were related to the installation (plus the first attempt asked me for a key which i didn't have, the second one didn't). i didn't activate right away. i got two BSOD in 24 hours and thought it was my computer but found out online that it's windows 10's fault so i went to update windows. the update i got took so long it almost looked like a whole new installation though it said updating. when i came home i went to activate and got this message windows is not activated as your previous version of windows on this device was not activated prior to upgrade to windows 10 error code 0x803f7001.
i am nearly 100% positive that error wasn't there before the update. how the hell can i have a previous installation when this is an windows 10 oem computer?
I can not activate my windows 10,I have done all with the genuine file but it won't activate anyway, could it be that I not upgrade it to w 10?,I did a Clean install directly!
View 5 RepliesAfter upgrading to 10547, getting EC: 0xC004C003
Is there a specific product key I need for this build?
