View 1 RepliesI leave my pc running most of the day and it locks either manually (windows key + L) or locks through screensaver. After 10 mins the screen is set to turn off.
Sometimes when I move the mouse or tap the keyboard to wake the monitor it comes up with the logon screen but the password box is black rather than white which is ready to type in the password.
Nothing else works other than pressing the button on the pc to restart.
Recently I have downloaded the bookwalker pc application on my pc. Whenever I double click on the icon on my desktop or try to run it as admin, my cursor would show that its loading but the app never launches. The specs of the bookwalker pc app clearly states that it is compatible with windows 10, and yet it would not launch.
Here's the link to bookwalker for ref: [URL] ....
I have noticed two circles located on the left third of the screen that has two circles. I have also noticed that often a cursor is attached to the upper circle. Are these there for a purpose? Do I need them? If not, how do I get rid of them?
View 1 RepliesI upgrade to Windows 10 a good month or so ago. All seemed fine. I woke my desktop up today to find this green screen w/continuous circles. I have unplugged everything and powered down and restarted. (This is the only suggestion I could find to fix it) The green screen came back up immediately. I have tried to get to where I could restart in safe mode but I can't navigate anywhere. I only have this green screen.
View 2 RepliesI have a Toshiba Satellite and I'm running windows 10. I've tried pressing F5 and FN+F5 but nothing happens. I've had a look on various forums and all the advice seems to start with "go here", "go to this menu" etc but how to go anywhere without a mouse.
View 9 RepliesMy problem is that sometimes (around once or twice a day), I get my laptop stucked suddenly. The cursor does not move. The keyboard also does not work (even by trying to turn CAPS lock on and off, I don't see the light on keyboard changing]. So I have to do forced restart. Before having windows 10, I was using Windows 7 and it was fine. Important note is that I had same problem with Windows 8 so that I returned back to 7.
View 5 RepliesI am pretty sure this is a Dell specific thing on this computer. When ever I drag a window I get this little blue box that if I drag any windows into it it will snap it to a side or make it full screen. I think it is Dell specific because it continues to happen even when I disable snap altogether.
View 6 Repliesafter windows 10 upgrade cursor is frozen i have tried to reboot, remove battery for certain amount of time, trouble shoot the hardware, nothing works.
when i start up the computer i am able use the mouse but once it properly boots up THE MOUSE IS FROZEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN
I've tried to disable Palmcheck but that did no good.
View 3 RepliesThis is a laptop, not touchscreen so all I can do is stare at the screen and get madder and madder at myself for attempting to upgrade.
View 2 RepliesI cant find a fix to my computer with my Nvidia graphics card here's what happened.
- Windows 8.1 update to windows 10 happens.
- Successful upgrade so i start up games to see changes into fps.
- Graphics card is not working so i uninstall them and try to reinstalled them again but to no avail ( should have restarted my PC i know).
- Get message to start restart on safe mode and so i do so.
- Suddenly I receive a black screen to which after many attempts to fix it via online including the installation media flash drive and the start+P key bind whatever thing.
I am not able to play my games, talk to my family and study for my ISU for my school which i need now because the work is inside! I need to fix this but am running out of options.
Also i wouldn't say am bad with computers I do know how to get to control panel, run commands on cmd, etc. But some detailed course of action explaining what do would useful.
Any link on how to downgrade to windows 8.1 or even 7 would be useful but not necessary, don't want my computer updating something I don't know.
Since yesterday's Windows 10 download I notice that my laptop screen has a life of its own, at times, with the cursor in erratic motion or stationary. The page zooms in larger, magically and unexpectedly, the scroll bar has a life of its own: the page moves up or down. In the earlier used Windows 8.1 version I had access to a page that allows me to delete programs. In this newer version it seems much harder to get rid of the ones that are a nuisance to me.
View 4 Repliessince free upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10 I have lost the cursor & cannot get it back through any settings.
View 1 RepliesThe cursor jumps around the screen and the screen randomly zooms in and out. How to fix if this is related to my recent upgrade to Windows 10. I seem to have lost control of my laptop since then.
View 3 RepliesI have updated twice to windows 10 and both times I had a big problem with my cursor jumping all over the screen . So i had to go back to windows 8.1 . Is there any solution to this problem, because I want to do the update..
View 2 RepliesI just purchased an Acer Aspire with Windows 10 and I immediately started having the above problem. The screens that I do not intentionally select are popping up all the time.
View -1 RepliesAfter upgrading to windows 10 i'm facing issue with typing. cursor stops blinking and gets disappear frequently , very difficult to type even a single word .
View 17 RepliesMy cursor is not appearing after upgrading to windows 10....
View 1 RepliesAfter Windows 10 installation, my cursor recycles for a split second every couple of seconds, as if it's attempting to install something, causing missed keystrokes, whether in Edge, Explorer, Word, Excel ...anything. If it appears to settle down, I just have to move the cursor and then I see the cursor recycle again. How to I get rid of this instability? It's like type-ahead back in the 1980's, even worse with all the missed keystrokes. Makes this very hard to use. Here's what it looks like:
View 9 RepliesI tried to upgrade to windows 10 from 8.1 and i tried 3 times and all I get is BLACK SCREEN after logging in task manager won't work, so i cant check is the explorer.exe isn't working or what. Also the same thing on safe mode black screen with cursor and nothing else.
View 1 RepliesEarlier on my Win 10 computer I did a command prompt, sfc scannow. So I waited for the scan which fixed a problem/corrupt file.
Afterwards it said computer needed restarting so I did just that, but after the windows logo the screen just stays black with the cursor showing.
Ctrl alt del to bring up task manager etc does nothing at all. Tried simply restarting pc again but it's the same every time.
Solved - On a different computer I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO file and burned on to a blank DVD.
I got into the BIOS to change the boot order to CD/DVD first, then inserted the dvd. (you DO get the option to keep or delete your files) The Repair option didn't work, but using a Restore Point did. My files-documents, pictures etc WERE kept.
So my computer started running a bit slower then it should be, at the point where my computer to open would take half a min, so i did fresh install. So i left installation overnight, i wake up in the morning and it say "Hi there" installation menu where you choose Country, language, keyboard layout and timezone, but it's totally froze, i can not see mouse cursor or use my keyboard, if my monitor goes to sleep i can't turn it on back. I did read that it's problem with drivers not installed. I've tried restarting pc few times. Is it true that problem is with drivers not installed correctly or at all?
View 1 RepliesI've been having some issues to get Windows 10 installed. I've got an ASUS ROG G20AJ desktop computer running an i7 processor and a GTX 760 graphics card. I got my Windows 10 update and everything went fine, and the installation process began. The problem is, when it gets to the 32 % of"Installating drivers and features", the screen goes black and I can only see the cursor. The installation process won't complete and it's been like 8 hours now. What should I do??
View 2 RepliesMy Windows 10 was running perfectly well for one full week. Then this morning I noticed it installed some update and after reboot the screen went black and the cursor appeared.
I tried every thing but nothing worked. I cannot even access the troubleshooting, bios, repair, etc... Nothing.
After it reboots I noticed that if I type my password blindly the HDD LED starts to blink wildly as in loading my start up programs etc....
But nothing else happens when I try Ctrl-alt-del or win-r and type explorer.exe or whatever I can think of.
Installed the 'Windows 10 Login Screen Changer' that I found on this forum, clicked 'change background' and bam...black screen. I turned the computer off and on again and still black screen with a Cursor.Ctrl Alt Del does nothing. My keyboard still lights up, and pressing Windows + P brings up the project menu but doesn't solve the issue. Forgot to mention I'm running the newest build of Windows 10 and have been for several weeks without any problems.
