View 1 RepliesI have an Asus Book Flip TP500LN (like a Lenovo Yoga but with bigger screen and Nvidia 840m) and although it automatically switches to tablet mode when flipped just fine, if I rotate to portrait the screen is flipped. If I hold it in landscape the desktop stays right side up even if I rotate it 180 degrees, but 90 and 270 degrees has the desktop upside down. It worked fine before.
View 4 RepliesI bought a DVD from Amazon. When I click the DVD drive, it opens a folder with a bunch of files that cannot be opened, When I right click it and press open autoplay I get a message telling me to download a dvd player from the store.
View 1 RepliesWindows Media Player is still in Windows 10. In Windows 7 and 8, it played a DVD movie. So, I pop in Lord of the Rings, and Windows 10 cannot play DVDs. It can read all the files, but does not have native support for playing a DVD movie with Windows Media Player or any built-in software.
Of course, I download VLC Media Player and watched it, but seriously Microsoft... Why? What is the legitimate reason for removing such a feature like that. It would have required no work to keep it.
How can I play mov files on windows 10...
View 1 RepliesOK. Movie Maker is not there BUT I can't find anything that could take it's place. The goal is to be able to import videos, edit and burn them. There is nothing in 10 that I can find.
I am guessing this is why my videos from external HD backup came in WITHOUT the video and only audio??
I installed window 10 today and cannot play any CDas there is no sound. DVD picture is fine but no sound. My computer is a Dell PC 260 and has AMD 6450 card. I tried very hard to make it work. I don't where the problem is. I had window7 before and had no problem with any thing.
View 3 RepliesWorked fine yesterday and now today any browser that tries to load a video freezes. Any video I try to start with media player or VLC just starts to load up and stops, nothing happens. Have been searching for fixes, Cleared internet history cache, checked in control panel for video options .No clue how to try reinstalling flash to see if that is the problem because its built into windows 10.
View 9 RepliesEver since I downloaded Windows 10 I am having nothing but trouble. I try to watch video's and they keep breaking up and run real slow, thats after it takes so long to get it up to even look at. Its telling me something about Ad block stopping it, but I tried to fix that but not sure what I did.
View 15 RepliesIn windows 7 I could play a DVD in the media player, can't make it work in Windows10? Have some YouTube Video's and they play in Media Player but can't get DVD to play. Don't see in the player where I can go to the DVD Drive ?
View 9 RepliesSince Win 10 update I can longer play MP4 videos I used to be able to play in Win 7, using Windows Media Player.
Why has this function stopped? I thought win 10 was an "improvement".
This is the error message - Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
Windows 10 does not play the videos from newsbin. They are avi, mp4, wmv and.rar type files.

View 1 RepliesSome mp4 videos play only the audio while showing a black video. These include nearly all videos on Facebook.
View 1 RepliesEvery since i upgraded to windows 10 my videos won't play on facebook or on the begin start up sight1.
View 1 RepliesI used to be able to play them....doesn't work in YouTube or anything
View 1 RepliesIt started out as a temporary problem and has steadily gotten worse. It tries to load them then simply stalls and nothing.
View 2 RepliesA lot of home videos that played well on Windows 7, are not showing up on Windows 10. Some play but are audio only. Seems a common complaint on-line.

View 10 RepliesI have a series of videos I want to play on my surface book. I opened the folder they were in and hit "play all". Windows movie and TV app opens the first video only. Is this a limitation or is there something wrong with my app? If this is a limitation why in the world is there a play all button for a default app that can't play all?
View 2 RepliesMy laptop with Windows 10 has stopped to play any videos (no matter if with media player or in different internet browsers).
View 1 RepliesI imported a video to my windows 10 pc with my camera, it will play the audio but not the video.
View 1 RepliesI installed Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago without any incident. However, this week I have noticed that I am unable to play any videos in my hard drive (regardless of format or video player... tried Windows Media Player, VLC, the photos app) or online (like in youtube or facebook). When playing videos on my hard drive, the video player is blank and doesn't play (although VLC shows the filename and the track length just fine). When playing videos through a browser (I use Chrome) the page simply crashes without playing the video.
I have also encountered a browser error where Shockwave Flash isn't responding. I have only one flash player installed so it's likely not a conflict issue on my browser.
