So im on windows 10 all is well except whenever i hit the Volume up and down button on my keyboard it appears on the left corner and i simply can't move it can i disable it from showing completely or move it by any chance ?

View 13 RepliesI've just noticed a feature which I don't think was present on Windows 7, but is on Windows 10.When a pop-up window is opened by an application the window is not aligned with the top left corner of the screen, it is slightly padded to the right. This seems to affect both pop-ups from browsers and from other applications (i.e Tkinter python frames).
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I have written a program that interacts with an application that creates these kinds of pop-ups and my program is expecting the windows to be about 7 pixels to the left of where they are appearing.... This can be tested by turning off your ad blocker and going to URL...
I am having troubles with my mouse. I am currently on Windows 10 and have just encountered a problem. It started when I closed down a tab and the mouse flashed to the top left corner of my screen, now as soon as I move the mouse it instantly moves it back. Something weird is sometimes when I open up a different tab for example a game, the mouse does the exact same thing but in the middle of the screen. I have tried unplugging and re-plugging the mouse back in AND Turning On and Off The Snap On mouse feature.

This is all fine and dandy, but when I play WoW it shows up over my game which makes impossible to heal when it covers up my raid ui! Anyway, how do you remove this/ is it possible to remove this?
View 1 Replieson a brand new upgrade from Windows 8, the start icon in the lower left corner does not respond to left button mouse clicks. It does see the mouse over and responds to right button clicks. Also when trying to pin an icon to the taskbar, it does not respond to a right click. The logged in user is an administrator. I have re-booted several times.

View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and I have a 2 monitor setup. I like to drag/drop windows from one monitor to the other, but Windows 10 has a barrier it seems right in the top corners. If I'm on the left monitor, and I go to drag a window to the right monitor, it will hang in the top right corner of the left monitor and not move, until I move the cursor down slightly, then it'll let me move it. Is there a way to remove that stopgap so I can move windows freely from one monitor to the other without having to go around the top corner?

View 9 RepliesJust upgraded to Windows 10 and noticed that every time I adjust the volume a notification at the top right pops up for a few seconds. Problem is I'm used to adjusting the volume of my music frequently and that little box is right where my bookmark bar is on Chrome. So when I go to click on my Youtube bookmark, it turns the volume from ~10 all the way to 100, killing my ear drums.
I was really hoping there's a way to disable this volume control but have found nothing and I've turned the sound up to 100 about 3 times today.
All my desktop icons are stuck on the left side of the desktopAll file explorer view are stuck in details view. Now yes, I have turned off Auto-arrange, still refreshes to all icons on left. I have tired ALL sorts combinations of view + sort by... nothing. I have tired many anti-malware/virus scans and nothing has come up. I have tired CCleaner pretty much everything and the problem persists.
Of note, I had done a system restore a week and half ago to a specific point and that fixed the problem but for just a day, then it happened again. When I got around to having time to go for another system restore, that restore point was gone and now no other restore point is fixing the issue -_-That left me to think it might be something I installed or perhaps a windows update... but after having uninstalled pretty much everything I could that I installed in the last week as well as removing recent updates.... nothing. I have also tried making a new windows account (local)... nothing. Also tried in safe mode, still nothing.
Since a few day when I click on the right lower sound volume/mixer, nothing happens anymore, no popup, no right click menu.

View 4 RepliesMy audio seems to not be working. I have never had this issue with this computer before until 2 days ago. I was able to roll back my system to an older date which fixed it for about a day. This time, however, it did not get the same results.My audio is just...well... gone. The sound (lower right corner in the task bar) says it is muted. When I click the icon it brings me straight to a troubleshoot, which we all know never actually fixes the problem.
The driver is installed and before I get asked if I have done the un-install and re-install, yes I have.I have un-installed and re-installed close to 6 times now. I have gone into the services and restarted (stop and start) the windows audio service close to 12 times.
Due to my audio working when I rolled back the system before, I assume my sound card is fine, but the software is not working properly (despite what the device manager says). I have also updated my system to windows 10 from windows 8.1, yet the issue remains.
Just had an update overnight to what I think is Windows Phone 10.The icons in the corner of all the banners flash constantly and pressing the banners does nothing.

Using the sound mixer (or whatever it is called) does not work, the "Systemsounds" slider (set to "0") does not effect the volume of that messages:
So when i play music on Spotify while playing a game, my volume randomly goes up and down, It only stops if i mute all of the sounds of the game, i've looked and looked in all the settings, changed the communications tab to "do nothing" and it still wants to change my volume.
View 1 Repliesmy laptop's volume simply isnt as loud as it is supposed to be, or has been in the past. all settings/ controls that i can find are turned to 100 percent. And i dont mean that i want it louder than 100%, im saying that the 100% that its on sounds like what should be 50-60%. I know that it has been able to be a good deal louder in the past. So i dont know whats wrong. I am in the military and have been away from my laptop for about 3 months, but everything seems to be up to date. It is to the point where its just not loud enough to enjoy/ use to play games or watch videos. And same thing for when i plug my headphones in, it isnt loud enough then either, sounds like what should be 50 or 60%. My laptop is an msi ge72 apache pro, and runs windows 10.
