View 1 RepliesI can't run the command "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth". Every time returns the error 0x800f081f.
View 4 RepliesSo I just updated to ten, and have all the updates, but whenever I try to run a .exe file, it gives me the error "|:
File System Error (-1073741819)
What this error is that I get sometimes when I go to Start/Power/Restart? It's it hardware related?
View 3 RepliesAfter I updated my windows to win 10 from win 7, I got this error everytime i start my pc:
There was a problem starting P17RunE.dll. The specific module could not be found.
I tried to search my C drive for P17RunE.dll and results are :
C:Windows.oldWindows System32DriverStoreFileRepositoryp17 .inf_amd64_neutral_ 1ccea852d2b1b3d0Win2k_xp C:WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepositoryp17.inf_amd64_1ccea852d2b1b3d0Win2k_xp.
My computer does this every time it turns off. And I've been having issues with games not running and I have a suspicion it's related.
View 1 RepliesMy new build is restarting randomly, and unlike with windows 7, there are no messages telling me what happened. What's the best way to view system logs that might have information about crashes?
View 1 RepliesI am currently running windows 10.
I did an upgrade and clean install from windows 8.1.
Now I want to reinstall windows 10, but when I'm entering the windows 10 or 8.1 key I receive an invalid key.
What can I do in order to get a valid windows key to work with the new windows 10 installation?
Need to know why this error code appears and then how to fix...

View 5 Repliesso the other day when i tried to open up the start menu it dosen't even open up. this has happened to me in windows 8 so i was able to easily fix it but as soon as i restart my computer, it just's comes back again, it's getting very annoying opening up the powershell putting in the code to fix it up while the os itself should boot it up.
View 6 RepliesWhen I access Task Scheduler, an error appears that says SqmUpload_S-1-5-21......... no longer exists. To see the current tasks, click Refresh. However, the same message appears when I click Refresh. I can close the message and it appears the Task Scheduler is OK. A person on the Microsoft boards gave me several steps to follow beginning with booting into Safe Mode. However, I received a message when I accessed Task Scheduler that it doesn't function in Safe Mode.
View 2 Repliesi just updated to Windows 10 and now my firefox, utorrent, filezilla and a few other programs have stopped working because of some port issue.
firefox does nothing.
utorrent says "Listen error".
filezilla says
Status: Connecting to 65.99.237.52:21...Status: Connection attempt failed with "10107".
Error: Could not connect to server
another program i use says "No interent connection or firewall is blocking MM Agent".
i tried to add these programs and port numbers to windows firewall settings but that didnt do anything. then i tried to disablethe windows defender and firewall using "services.msc" but still nothing.
i have also tried by disabling my antivirus(bitdefender)
I upgraded my system to Windows 10 back on Aug 6th and didn't have any problems until yesterday. I won't go into the details of that issue but it forced me to restore Windows 10 from an Acronis TrueImage backup I had taken on the 8/7. Although the restore went well and Windows 10 is back up and running, I am unable now to run Windows update as each time I do so it give me this 0x8024402F error that says that there was some problem installing updates.
Note that this is not an internet connection error as I can browse the internet and download updates to other apps. I have tried the Windows 10 Troubleshooter for Windows update as an Admin and it says it found a configuration problem and fixed it but I still get the error. I have run various system scans and a CHKDSK and they find nothing wrong. I have searched the internet high and low for a solution this problem but the only thing I find seems to be focused on fixes to Windows 7 and Windows 8.x, not Windows 10.
I always used to have my UAC turned off, and was very happy being able to quickly open up different programs with administrator privileges using the WinKey+R.However, ever since upgrading to windows 10, turning UAC triggers the "This app Can't Open" error [URL] ....
Searching for a solution quite a while, all I came across is suggestions to turn UAC back on. This is not an acceptable solution, I wish to keep the damn thing off, and don't see any reason why it should interfere with my ability to open the edge browser.
I downloaded and installed Windows 10, no problems. I also updated with all current updates. I only have a few things installed as I built this computer with Win 8.1 and then got the free Upgrade. I have:
Steam, with a couple of games only
Acronis True Image 2015
ESET Smart Security 8
Everything was working like a champ! Not a single problem...everything seemed flawless. Then, for no particular or known reason, when I booted up, Windows told me it needed to check my C: hard disk (2 Teribyte Seagate 7200 RPM, brand new). After it did the disk check, computer rebooted and then I had to reverify my Microsoft Account, Login to Windows and also lost my Steam Account Login and ESET Security setting for family network. After this, Windows acted like I had been hit by a mac truck. The task bar would not work properly and hung up on me. The START menu lost everything on it and hung up. I could not access Control Panel. It almost felt like a virus had gotten me...when I click on the minimal menu icons in Start, I got a "Catasrophic Error" message...
But I had Acronis True Image 2015 with an imaged backup of the entire hard disks I have (3) and I was able to recover, with just a few game play saved files lost! No big deal, I got Windows 10 back. I have just experienced a fatal crash, and I don't even know why...
1). How do I set up a Log File that reports system crashes and catastrophic events like this that I can access at boot up?
2). I could not use START properly, the POWER option on the Start Menu was GONE...and the command line was not responding...in this case, I could not reboot in Safe Mode, I could NOT use the function SHIFT + POWER OPTION + RESTART. This was terrifying folks. It was a major catastrophe. I do not know enough about Win 8.1 or Win 10 to know yet how to attempt recovery...as I only had Win 8.1 for a couple of days before upgrading to 10. I have a UEFI BIOS but NOT an SSD drive, I have standard hard disks so the boot sequence is not a flash. How do I get the old DOS Safe Mode with Network Options? How do I REPAIR a borked/corrupted operating system using Windows tools that are not available to me when the operating system is borked which leads to....
3). How to use System Recovery Tools at the DOS or boot level to Recover Windows?
4). Because I upgraded, I do not have a system disk with repair tools like I would if I had purchased a DVD of Win 10.
How do I create a Windows 10 Repair Disk I can boot from and use Repair Tools, to either REINSTALL or REPAIR Windows 10?
5). How do I launch Safe Mode in Windows 10 from Boot?
I started my PC this morning and was greeted with a BootMGR missing error, i followed a few things online including going into the CMD and entering the following codes;
bootrec /RebuildBcd
bootrec /FixMbr
bootrec /FixBoot
They didn't work so i've decided it would be easier to just reset my OS, however if i try to reset i'm told i haven't enough space in my C drive. So how can i make space without being able to go into my PC properly?
I have started to get the following error message when I load my desktop from startup:'The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation'.

View 2 Repliesjust recently i installed windows 10 (clean install) on my built desktop. At first it was fine installing programs etc. Then not sure what i installed last or what happened during an installation but now when i try to install a program like Nivida Graphics Card Driver the blue screen error comes up. It never fails, even if i try and install skype it also causes the problem. I originally had the Nvidia G experience installed but i read online that this might be causing the problem so i uninstalled successfully but it is still happening.
