I have one question, Brink. How do I Select All emails at once, and delete all emails at once?
View 4 RepliesHow I can select ALL and have all the emails listed "ticked" for deletion or to move? I see there is a "tick" button, but then you have to manually select each one...
View 3 RepliesI have a question, under "Start Menu -> Settings -> Notifications & actions -> Select icons which appear on the taskbar, how does one do maintenance on the list so it only shows items that are currently installed as it seems uninstalled items are still showing up on the list." However the answer has been tried but did not solve it for me. I still have uninstalled app icons showing up. I have deleted "iconstreams", there is no "pasticonstreams" to delete, I have ran registry cleaner, disk clean up, registry search for the apps, c: drive search for left overs etc etc etc to no avail. The icons or app shortcuts must be hiding
View 1 RepliesHave upgraded to Windows 10 and currently windows update shows 4 updates ready to install and one ready to download. It has been like this for the past few days. Locked with nothing being uploaded/downloaded/installed. Prior versions of windows allowed the user to select which updates to download and install. Is this still possible with Windows 10?
View 3 Replies1) Does 10 check for check for updates automatically? if so, how do I turn that option off?
2) Earlier I checked for updates and it automatically started installing as soon as it was done checking, is there a way to select which updates to install?
3) How much does the battery drain if you have the "hey cortana" voice activation on?
So, instead of using my browser for my emails I set them up in Windows Mail, but although it will show all the folders it won't show anything in my inboxes. I've tried syncing but to no avail.
View 1 RepliesI refuse to believe that Microsoft would have omitted this basic function. How does one Import from Windows Live Mail into the Windows 10 Mail App?
View 6 Replieswhen I start Windows 10, I have to sign in (without giving a password) to the last User that was signed in. In other words I don't have any options as to what User can sign in. But, when I start Windows 10, I want to be presented with a screen where I can see all the Users on my system. Then I want to be able to select which User to sign in. At the moment I'm having to log off to see this screen showing User options. Can I use secpol.msc?
View 1 RepliesI have this problem when i want to install win10 from by bootable usb It says Select the driver to be installed.
how to fix?
My challenge is that I'm running a program that refuses to retain it's taskbar setting to always show. So, everytime I reboot, I have to go to "SystemNotifications & actionsSelect which icons appear on the taskbar" and find the program (it's Choicemail) and toggle on the notification.
I have a shortcut to get me to the "SystemNotifications & actions dialog", but I'd really like to go direct to the "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" dialog.
I'd use a macro to execute, but with Windows 10 walking away from shortcut keys on most system settings, I haven't figured that out. I also don't know what CMD to use from an admin run instance to get there.
I have a problem with a video driver that wants to be installed, but when it's installed the system becomes unstable (it can hang or automatically restart). This is a long standing problem on certain ASUS notebooks with certain NVIDIA display adapters. The driver is for the NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT display adapter on an ASUS M70Vn with a 64-bit architecture. I am currently using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, which provides a stable environment and works good enough for my purposes.
How can I prevent the NVIDIA driver from being installed with the Windows updates? In earlier versions of Windows (for example, Windows 7), you could select which updates to install by putting a checkmark in front of the updates you wanted installed. Not so with Windows 10. All you get is a list of updates that are available and a click-box that says "Install now". I'm running Windows 10 version 1511 (OS Build 10586.0).
I used the Compatibility Troubleshooter and now I cannot select a compatibility mode manually or turn it off completely. Those options are grayed out.
View 1 RepliesI use Calibre to manage my .epub files, and these files are located in folders within folders within folders. My questions is whether I can use Windows Explorer to see all of the .epub files located located in my Calibre Library (which is the folder which contains all of the other folders/files) without having to go into each individual folder and copy the individual files out.

View 1 RepliesI am using W10 Pro 1511 v10586.14 and seem to be unable to de-select individual pictures from my desktop background themes.
View 4 Replies So, if you go to SETTINGS > SYSTEM > NOTIFICATIONS & ACTIONS > SELECT WHICH ICONS APPEAR ON THE TASKBAR.It gives a list of all the icons you can make visible one taskbar ... including ones I have uninstalled and will never use again! It even has the "Get Windows 10" option on there, even though I've now upgraded to Windows 10. I mean C'MON, MAN!
Is there any kind of hack or tweak that will let me delete these unwanted entries and clear the list up? (I've attached a picture with a couple of these unwanted entries circled.)
When making a slideshow in Windows 10 for the lock screen and the desktop background can you select individual images from folders instead of selecting an entire folder? Win 7 could do this and i used it and liked it a lot.
It's not a huge deal but i didn't want to make copies of the images to put in a "slideshow" folder and also leave them organized in their original folder so i can actually track them down later.
Loaded a free copy of Windows 10 a few days ago onto my old Dell insprion 1720 running Win7. All ok apart from setting up Cortana. Will not allow her to select my location. I am UK running English(UK) and UK Keyboard. When clicking on Cortana button only shows Search, Home, Settings and Feedback on Start side bar..
View 9 Repliesyesterday I opened Windows 7 iso file in my Windows 10 operating system, and pressed 'Install now', I immediatly cancel the operation, and a new partition showed up next to C: drive, I knew nothing about system partition yesterday and I though Windows 7 installation reserved it, so I erased the 2 folders that had inside (EFI and Boot). But the partition still existed, so I restarted the PC and now shows: "Reboot and select proper boot device" (Windows 10 no longer boots).
I tried to fix it with Windows 10 USB iso's troubleshoot and everything failed, so I tried using the Command prompt tool but couldn't do much with it.
I try and go into the bios to change the order of the boot devices but my keyboard start to turn on with flashing leds like normal then just turns off.
View 1 RepliesI just canceled my Windows 10 download request because of "Secure Boot." I find it's very disturbing to work under its conditions of inflexibility. Without an option to select or deselect, Secure Boot is an irrational restriction on the individual.

View 1 RepliesWhen turning on my computer today, I had to face a BSOD with the error name being "System Thread Exception not Handled", which prevented me from launching Windows 10 in either way. So I rebooted my computer on my Linux Mint partition in order to look on the internet the solution to this error. I then created a USB bootable with Windows 10, so I can access to the troubleshoot kits. However, when I launched my computer again on my USB key, I found myself in front of a black screen with words saying "Reboot and select proper boot device".
Things get quite weird from now, because when I try to boot from my SSD where Windows 10 is installed, I no more have the previous BSOD, but always and always this black screen with the same message. I do not know how to do now in order to access to Windows 10 again.
Unfortunately, being unable to access to Windows 10, I can't give you a DM Log Collector.
