View 2 RepliesI just upgraded from Build 10041 to Build 10061. I downloaded a few maps using 'Systems - Maps' but unable to find where these maps are saved.
This happens to both builds. Where can I find the saved maps.
My brother asked me to upgrade his offline PC from Windows 7 pro to 10. While I had successfully upgraded my 8.1 to 10, and preserved all apps previously installed, I wonder does Windows 10 iso upgrade install default apps like Groove, Movies & Tv, Calculator and other necessary apps on offline PC, or does it only require internet connection to install those apps?
View 2 Repliesi can' find apps like calculator, alarms or even webcam......until I hv to open store to open these apps.
View 9 RepliesHave Z97 GAMING 5 (MS7917) 1.0 MoBo with Intel Core i7 4790K Just clean installed Windows 10 after upgrade from 7 Pro, but had issues with a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB with MBR instead of the prefered one. Had to EUFI instead of BIOS, and apparently, my data drive (ST4000DM0001F2168) was converted and made the system disk to boot from. Anyway, Windows 10 starts and all, but it will not connect to the internet, 'no network drivers are available'. I downloaded the AMI Bios flash v1.b and updated that. Also downloaded MSI LiveUpdate 6 and installed it via USB stick, but nothing shows up on the scans as it cannot connect.
This all started because the stupid "USB Device not recognized" error message kept popping up and Chrome became so slow back in Windows 7. I did everything I read, to include popping out the MoBo battery. The error message still pops up in Windows 10, and Chrome was still slow after the upgrade. Figured a clean install would fix it all...and now I have a very large paperweight...
Upgraded to Windows 10 from 7. I used Word Pad for creating all docs. Now I can't find it. The same docs are in Office but are formatted different and require payment for subscription. Was my Word Pad deleted in the upgrade or can still get to it?
View 4 RepliesI downloaded a program (Skype) and I can't find it. I would like to add it to my start menu but I am not sure how to find it to do that.

I downloaded an app from the app store. (Flipbook) I can't find it. I looked in my list of apps and it isn't there. I would like to add it to the start menu but I don't know how to find it.

View 3 RepliesUsually when you hit start and begin typing the name of the program you want to start, it shows up right away, right?
I have a clean install of windows 10 on my C: drive and programs on the F: drive that are from when I used w7 (not ok i know but if a program stops working I'll just reinstall it), but when I search for Steam for example, it won't show up even if that folder is in the index and I even added steam to the start menu, so when I click start I can see steam there but it won't find it if I begin typing S-T-E..
Is there any way of including all programs in the search function or do I have to reinstall every program? This problem applies for every program that are on the F: drive and it seems unnecessary to add every program to the start menu just to be able to access them quickly, you know.
I've noticed now on multiple computers I've installed Windows 10 on, that a quick win-key search isn't able to bring up installed apps. I'm sure this isn't how it's meant to be, and that there must be a fix... right?
View 3 RepliesBeen trying M. Reflect free edition on a Dell Studio XPS 8000. I did as usual and created a boot rescue CD with the PE file with no problem. Then I continued to make an image of my boot disk C and save it on my hard drive D.
Went to D and the image is there. Next I booted with the restore disk without problems, but after choosing restore, I can't find the image that was created on the D hard drive. I noticed that the naming of the drives also has changed and as such I looked everywhere but I can't find the image and as such I can't restore.
I need finding the folder for the games I downloaded from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10. It gets annoying finding games through the search tool and having them pinned to my taskbar would also be inconvenient. I would rather they were in a folder.
View 1 RepliesI have photo gallery installed with my windows 10, but according to my reserarch, there is also Windows Live Photo Gallery, which has more features.
All I can find is windows live essentials, but when i look at the programs it will install this is not shown...
Has MS renamed Windows Live Photo Gallery and just called it Photo gallery ?
Have a zillion photos to tag and if I use an MS product it will be tagged within the photo unlike Picasa so will be better for my purposes, unless there is an alternative which adopts the MS tagging...
Trying to restore an image on to a RAID 0 SSD from stand alone version.
After loading the RAID driver Macrium SEES all the HDD's and can select images etc.
However when TARGET destination is chosen No HDD's are seen. !!!
Need fixing this --otherwise this backup software becomes USELESS !!!!.
Macrium --latest version.
For example, update kb3116908 released.
I don't want to use Windows Update for each system and I need the offline installer. Also can't get from Microsoft Catalog.
Any direct download link from Microsoft?
I cannot install anything from Windows Store. It will down load normally & then fail with error 80073DOA. Updates to Apps also fail to install with the same error. I have run wreset ( several times) but still no joy. Date & Time Zone are correct.
Windows Firewall must be enabled to allow the Store to Update & Install!
Found this by accident. I was running the Firewall that came with Norton Security. Why this is a requirement I don't know. Disabling the Norton Firewall was easy but there was no option to turn the windows Firewall back on as Norton had taken over so I went into Services & did it from there. All working fine now ))
Any apps I try and update attempt to install, but stay at 0.0mb downloaded, then it stops and produces this error: The happens with every app.
I read on some other forums on why this may be happening and someone suggested that it was because I had changed the permissions to the WindowsApps (C:Program FilesWindowsApps) folder so that I could view the files within it. Yes, I did try and change the permissions so I could edit the files within (I couldn't), just for fun and to see if it'd make any differences, so that is what I assume the problem is.
After learning this I tried to reset the permissions, how to, so I tried to replicate the permissions from a clean unaltered WindowsApps folder and it didn't work, no matter what I did. Windows Update doesn't even seem to fix it either.
So is there any way other than reinstalling windows to get the App Store working again?
I had my systems set up to store a copy of the stuff I had on OneDrive on the local PC's under Windows 8.1. Since I upgrade to W10 that option has disappeared? Am I missing something? I have Googled and Binged and can't find anything specific to W10 and the W8 explanation ain't there no more in W10! I really liked the ability to access my OneDrive Stuff if/when the internet is down.

View 3 RepliesI go to my offline maps in setting and click on the maps I have downloaded and nothing happens.
View 1 RepliesI installed Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago without any incident. However, this week I have noticed that I am unable to play any videos in my hard drive (regardless of format or video player... tried Windows Media Player, VLC, the photos app) or online (like in youtube or facebook). When playing videos on my hard drive, the video player is blank and doesn't play (although VLC shows the filename and the track length just fine). When playing videos through a browser (I use Chrome) the page simply crashes without playing the video.
I have also encountered a browser error where Shockwave Flash isn't responding. I have only one flash player installed so it's likely not a conflict issue on my browser.

just few days back i have installed free updates of windows 10 from windows 7.I thought i am lucky to have windows 10 for free, but now i am in problem.I am unable to play offline downloaded videos through media players. It is not playing smoothly.Videos are stopping automatically and then running by their own and sound is not matching with the videos. I have VLC,KM player,5K player;not a single player is operating . I have checked device manager and updated display adapter but problem not solved.
Specification of my PC :Intel( R) core ™2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz 900 MHz, Ram 2GB,32 bit OS,x 64 based processor,no graphics card installed.
I must mention one thing that i have no issue in playing online videos from YouTube .
After upgrading to Windows 10, I've been having tremendous problems getting my Brother MFC-J430W working wirelessly, installing the latest Windows 8.1 x64 drivers from their website works fine and it detects the printer through wireless right away.
My problems with it are the Printer constantly says its offline under the Windows 10 printing tab however the Brother's icon shows the device connected and ready and even shows me the current ink levels. The only way I can currently print a document is by restarting my computer, and very quickly sending a document to print before it goes offline again. So basically the printer only seems to connect online when I restart the computer but goes offline within a minute or two, I didn't experience this issue in Windows 8.1 x64.
I'm not sure if it's related to the last update or not, but suddenly my homegroup started saying my other PC was offline. So I went and left it and recreated it, and sometimes it'll connect for maybe 5 minutes then disappear again. Also, it's saying almost everytime I try to join that Windows No Longer Detects a Homegroup on this network. Very strange since it's showing it. I can get to the other computer via the Network icon so it's not a disaster, but this is a frustrating issue.
View 1 RepliesWhen Windows 10 first came out I was easily able to create a 32-bit/64-bit hybrid install on a flash drive using Media Creation Tool. I now want to create one for my dad who is having trouble getting his system updated but can't find this tool anymore, only the individual ISO's for 32-bit or 64-bit. Did MS take down this tool? Is there somewhere else I can get it?
