View 1 RepliesWindows 10 won't let me rename files, pics etc in the normal way. It allows me to try, then reverts to the previous name. It is not a problem of permissions, I have checked that.
It will allow me to rename on "Properties", but that is one file at a time. How am I to rename a group of pictures? This really seems like a glitch.
I am new to Windows 10...I have been trying to download pictures from my Olympus camera to my laptop but, with no avail, what to do?
View 5 RepliesI have changed several pictures several times on the Lock Screen, and now every once in awhile a picture pops up on it which I don't want. Is there any way to delete the few pictures on there so thee is only one?
View 1 RepliesI used to be able to choose whatever pictures that were in my computer to show in a slideshow when not using my PC. I would go to personalization and all my pics would have a little checkbox to choose if I wished. I am unable to do that now and so my slideshow is doomed to the same pics forever. How can I control what to put on my screen while my PC is not in use.
View 1 RepliesUnder the settings menu, I do not get the option to turn Bluetooth on or off. It has been suggested that this is a design feature where desktop PCs do not need a switch while Laptops get one, I don't know if this was the design plan. Any way in my case I am on a Samsung Notebook (which is a Laptop). It has also been suggested that windows 10 looks for the battery to make this decision, if so it may have been that my "Battery Saving" mode on the Samsung that confused the selection process. My battery is currently showing as 80% but not charging.
View 5 RepliesJust a while ago i was using my bluetooth just fine on my laptop with headsets. I lost connection (headset battery ran out) so i turned bluetooth off then quit the settings app. Going back, bam! no bluetooth settings. Trying to search "bluetooth" takes me to airplane mode and there are no bluetooth settings there. I don't know how to turn it back on again. Are there any third-party bluetooth software because this is the second time I'm having this problem (first was on windows 8.1) and often I had to restart the computer.
View 2 RepliesI freely admit that, in the greater scheme of crashes, re-installs and general weirdness that has been my Win10 experience to date, this is a very tiny thing. But it's annoying me. I'm using CSR bluetooth stack 2.1.63. First time I installed it, it worked perfectly. Now I'm on a more successful rebuild, I cannot get the correct Bluetooth icon in the task bubble! It's always grayed out (and even this was a challenge; I had no icon until I re-did the driver installation twice.)
It struck me that it might not be too hard to either change Windows' path to the icon or replace the grey one with blue. If only I knew where to look. What do you think?
Upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10 on Lenovo laptop. Now as soon as I connect to an external Bluetooth hardware to play music my wifi disconnects - every single time! All Bluetooth and adapter drivers up to date.

The device was paired, but would not connect. I attempted to remove the device, but the tablet has been trying to "REMOVE DEVICE" for 3 days now.
I can't stop or interrupt the process.
My Bluetooth connection to my PC under Windows 7 worked perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy phone. Since upgrading to Windows 10 I can pair the phone OK, have it show up as a paired Bluetooth device, but when sending files to the PC the connection is made, transfer looks to start then fails each time. The scale bar that appears on screen shows a 1/3rd distance happen, then stops. Message is "connection fails". I also have a PC running WIndows 8.1. Is there some "option" or blocking that is happening; something I need to switch on/off or disable.
View 3 RepliesMy laptop is Acer Aspire 7741z-4806 ... I don't have Bluetooth option in my laptop.
Settings > Devices has no Bluetooth option listed.
I have searched the web and some postings said my particular model does not have Bluetooth included.
Yet, in my Services, there are 2 listings of Bluetooth.
Further question............. is there any Bluetooth program I can download to my laptop? I had run into one called NFC but it did nothing.
I'm using my lumia 625 (which has windows phone 10 build 10536) to connect my laptop (windows 10 too) to the internet using bluetooth (less battery consuming & has smaller rang = more security) , the problem that i'm facing is that I can't set my connection as limited like wifi connections. I have always automatic updates and I only have a very limited bandwidth. And is there any tool usb tether my phone to my laptop?

View 2 RepliesI'm not able to turn on bluetooth on my Compaq 510 laptop. So I thought of uninstalling and re-installing my bluetooth driver, which happened to be Microsoft Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Driver version 10.0.10586.0 ( dated 2006-06-21 ). Now I'm not able to find this driver again. I'm facing with the bluetooth.
View 13 RepliesBluetooth keyboard wont pair after windows 10 update? I tried the keyboard on other devices not running windows 10 and used it prior on windows 8.1 without any problems but now on Toshiba laptop and tablet along with an acer desktop all running windows 10 the Bluetooth keyboard wont connect.
It shows up ready to pair then i click pair and enter the numbers it tells me to and press enter then it states its connect for about a minute then just states its paired after that. even if i turn it on and off or Bluetooth on and off it only states its connect for a short time then just goes back to pair but at no time during the time it says its connected does it work. also other Bluetooth audio devices work fine without issue.
I am trying to remove two old Bluetooth devices in Windows 10 that keep showing up in Device Manager. I have tried to find them in Settings> Devices> Bluetooth and remove them but there isn't an option. When I uninstall them in Device Manager they keep coming back. How do I unpair and remove old Bluetooth Devices in Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesIt says my PC is searching for other devices under the Bluetooth menu, but there is not a switch saying on/off.
View 9 RepliesI am using a desktop PC that does not have any Bluetooth devices, but Bluetooth is shown as on in the notification center. If I click on it there, it guides me to settings>devices, but there is no Bluetooth option there. I checked device manager and I do not have any Bluetooth devices and I have checked my Ethernet adapter settings and there is also no Bluetooth device there.
I have a second PC which also does not have Bluetooth and it does not appear in that one's notification center.
how to make it go away on my main PC?
Dell WLAN bluetooth driver is not installing on my laptop . I found out that the same driver is working fine on my friend's laptop and i even used same driver for windows 8.1 previously. While I install it ,it shows an error that "The installer cannot run on this platform...",,I even tried refreshing my laptop but still it didnot work..
View 19 RepliesAfter doing a clean installation i just realized that both my usb ports and my bluetooth aren't working. I have tried downloading software to download those drivers but yet still not is still not working. I have updated my laptop through windows updates but still both aren't working.
View 5 RepliesI just purchased a recertified Asus Q302LA 2 in 1 convertible 13.3" Laptop which came with Windows 8 installed. When I upgraded to Windows 10, shortly after I got it, the Bluetooth would not function. It did function with the Windows 8.
On the "System Information" page I found at System Summary>Components>Storage>Problem Devices, this entry: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE Device
BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0
This device cannot start.
I also found when double clicking on Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE in the Device Manager, and getting the "Properties" box; an entry for "Device Status" under the "General" tab that says: This device cannot start (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
Also, under the "Events" tab in the "Properties" box there is an entry under "Information" that says:
Device BTHMS_BTHLE9&d0f185d&0&0 requires further installation.
I have checked for driver updates and there were none. There is no "Bluetooth" icon in the "Action Center" sidebar, instead there is a "Connect" icon, but I cannot connect my bluetooth headphones or a bluetooth keyboard. Just get the message "No Devices Found".
I have the only two services for "Bluetooth" on the Services page "running" with "Automatic" start. I did not find an entry for the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator LE.
Since the move to Windows 10 (from 7) I haven't been able to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. This worked for me under Windows 7. There is no bluetooth entry in the device manager.
I have a Dell Studio 1555. Both the WiFi and the Ethernet connection to the Internet are OK.
The computer is a dual boot machine with Ubuntu. The bluetooth feature does work in Ubuntu.
My PC Details are:
Lenovo-Q200-Desktop
Windows 10 - 32bit - Enterprise - Evalution edition
Intel Core2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz
Recently I have installed Windows 10 Enterprise Evalution edition in my PC. The Bluetooth USB dongle, when plugged-in doesn't create 1)the notification sound 2)Dongle's LED not glowing 3)drivers not installed by win10 4)no errors displayed 5)no entries added into device manager.
All the above used to happen when I plugged into PC in another Vista partition.
I noticed that under This-PC, Only the partitions are listed as C,D etc. There are no Removeable Disks segment like in Vista
I have 5 USB ports in my PC. When I connect an external HDD, a drive letter is added and am able to use the HDD. In another USB, I have permanently added USB-Receiver for my keyboard and mouse which is sensed by windows-10. If I use the same USB port for my bluetooth dongle, no reaction from the PC.
Using my laptop (alienware 15 R2) as normal, when my Bluetooth mouse suddenly stops working. I tried new batteries and even tried to pair it again, nothing. I type Bluetooth into the search/ Cortana bar and all it pulls up is 'Airplane Mode' settings. Under that is a toggle to turn on/ off wifi and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth option is set to off and greyed out, so I cant change it. At this point I try to reboot the computer. It tells me that it is completing new windows updates, so thinking this is the problem.
Upon rebooting the computer, mouse still does not work. Now when I look for Bluetooth settings, they are simply gone. There is no listing for Bluetooth under devices or even under the airplane mode as I mentioned above, it is simply gone. I tried going to dell and downloading a new driver, still nothing. I am back to using my old faithful Logitech wired mouse now.
I looked at the windows update history for today 12/16/15 and it lists two windows defender updates that were successfully installed and 11 failed installs of "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586"
