View 2 RepliesI have a strange Icon (smiley face) on tool bar. How do I get rid of it? Attached is a screen shot of the icon. I think it came from some freeware that I installed. I don't know which one. I uninstalled the 'page maximum' from JiiSoft.com. I thought that's where it came from, but it's still there. I user Revo to uninstall it so I should have gotten all parts of it. I have emailed JiiSoft several times asking about the icon, but have not received a response.
Now IE 11 is showing pages crazy. The page is all over the place. See the example of the router I was interested in. I uninstalled IE 11 (via check box) and then I rechecked it in manage software (Control Panel/Programs and Features/Turn Windows Features on or off)
From what I have read, you cannot entirely reinstall IE because it is part of Windows 10 operating system.
Is there a way using windows 10, to take a face from one pic and add to another?
View 1 RepliesThere is a face password which is available in windows 10.
View 1 RepliesI tried to use lumia software recovery tool as well but it said software package not available for this phone. How can I resolve the problem?
View 1 RepliesIf I save things to the desktop I can't see them - either on the desktop itself or in File Explorer showing the desktop - until I press F5 to refresh.
View 1 RepliesAfter updating to Win 10 recently, I realized that I was lagging everytime I run some games. Even exiting them, it would still continue to mess up my CPU with heavy usage. With 16GB of ram this shouldn't happen. While in game, there was heavy graphic lag. I turned off all my additional programs in the background, did scans of CCleaner and my Anti virus. I also cleaned up registry with CCleaner.
Did some research previously and also turned off all the Customer Experience Issues in the Task Scheduler. This issue still happens every now and then. How do I check what exactly is the rundll32.exe is coming from?

View 1 RepliesI have java installed on my machine, but can't see it in my browsers, FX or Chrome ( I know it won't work in Edge).
I have checked the box 'Enable Java controller in the browser' under the security tab in Java Control Panel.

View 1 RepliesToday 11-17-15 I restarted my computer to install the latest version of Window 10. (Not an Insider Build) The installation was going fine until now. It is stuck at 54%. The "breathe" animation on the percentage ring is still moving so it is not frozen.

Since evening whenever I plug charger it gives me notification that "Phone Charging Slowly... Charged Phone is Happy Phone.. Always use Original data cable or charger that came with device...."
I'm using same charger which came with mobile. This notification is coming when I plugin data cable with lappy. That was okay. Because with lappy USB port it will charge slow but why with charger I'm getting same notification?

View 2 RepliesSo every since wednesday i updated my windows (automatically when shutdown) and when i turn the pc back on it goes into repair and will keep restarting and repairing... I have to keep restoring to be able to even use the pc but windows needs updating and will keep doing this everytime, resorting in me having to restore AGAIN! View 1 RepliesAs per title the three applications are the stock Windows Calculator, Movies & TV, and Photos. All three always start up together. I've never seen it happen when I'm actually using the computer but if you leave it unattended for an hour or so when you come back they'll probably be there.
This never happened with Windows 7 prior to updating. I've considered maybe it might be some multi-media keyboard combination mixed with a stuck key but an nkro test doesn't show any key registering when it's not being pressed and no amount of deliberate keyboard mashing has made any of the applications start up.
No other problems with Windows 10, just this one bizarre issue.
I have windows 10. When I turned on my laptop it says that it updating and it stucks in 87% then I turned it off and after that I opened it it still updating?? Is it normal with windows 10 ??
View 1 RepliesWas updating from windows 7 to windows 10 and the battery died now most things are really slow or are unresponsive. On top of that i cant complete the update... I have tried a restore but it didn't work with the update problem.
View 1 RepliesMy PC has black screened while updating to windows 10. It finished copying files and restarted once. It then began installing drivers which seemed to work for another 2-3% before black screening.
View 1 RepliesHow to update a windows 7 to 10 on a Intel NUC with only 32gb of mSATA of SSD. The effective memory space of the SSD is about 28gb. I do have an USB external HDD which I use as a bootup disc/installer, but the limited SSD space in the NUC is a challenge.
What is the best way to proceed? How much space do I have to free up in the old Windows 7 so the installation will proceed properly??
Whenever I turn my computer on I am greeted with my motherboard screen and then white spinning dots on a blue screen, and my screen flicks black every minute or so. There is nothing else I can do. I contacted Windows support and they said my system was updating and it should be done in an hour. After the system has been "updating" the whole night it is still doing the same this. Before I had this problem the last thing I did was copy my main HD to a larger SSHD.
The copy needed to restart my PC, and it did. After that when I turned on my computer I would log in to a flickering screen, and other times a black screen. I looked at tutorials to fix it but nothing worked, so I attempted a system refresh. I think that is what may be causing this blue loading screen and am stuck at this point, ctrl+alt+del does nothing. I have a backup on my external drive so if somehow a refresh could be achieved it wouldn't be a problem.
Task Manager is behaving strangely.
Everything else is working properly on my machine.
I can open Task Manager and view all of the various tabs, but they are not updating in real-time. Rather, I am receiving only the static information from the moment when I opened Task Manager, and CPU is the only Performance graph that changes. Exiting and restarting Task Manager does not fix the problem.
Task Manager 1
Task Manager 2
As you can see, it indicates CPU at >90%, which doesn't make sense to me as I rarely see usage levels so high (except at startup). None of the other graphs are updating at all.
Resource Monitor behaves normally and it indicates the CPU is only running at 4% or so, which appears normal to me, as I only have these utilities, Chrome and Word active right now.
I am on OS Build 10586.11 (non-Insider) and just confirmed all updates are installed.
I both restarted and shut down the machine; the behavior remains.
Reliability History has no errors from neither yesterday nor today.
Overnight I left my rig uploading files to my Dropbox account and the transfers were uploading fine this morning when I noticed Task Manager had closed itself. I do not use the Dropbox desktop app, but rather drag and drop folders to the Dropbox web interface folders. (I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the problem, just trying to provide what details I can.) I also spent a few hours yesterday reconfiguring all of my OneDrive folders which are work-related. I use Office 365 and the OneDrive desktop app is installed, works properly, up-to-date with no sync issues.
Reviewing Event Viewer, the only thing jumping out (to me) is the DHCP-client error, which I'm thinking is the fact that my primary and backup machines are connected via ethernet (a change I made earlier this week with no obvious problems since), bypassing my router, ergo no assignment. The rest of the errors are fairly common to what I've been experiencing regularly.
Here is a capture of Event Viewer errors:
After reviewing the Troubleshooters, I'm not sure if any of them are applicable.
After I submit this post, I will run sfc /scannow and update with results.
if there are too many images, etc. This is my first post where I'm using captures and I'm unsure if I inserted these correctly and provided everything I can to properly describe the problem.
