Experiencing duplicated notifications with certain apps, such as Twitter? I'll get the original popup above the taskbar clock, followed a few seconds later by the same notification. And both are listed in the Action Centre. But in the new Twitter app itself, only the original appears.
I've tried disabling then re-enabling notifications, also uninstalling then reinstalling the app, but the issue remains. Can't find it being reported anywhere.
InWhen the new Twitter app for Windows 10 was installed several weeks back I installed it on FOUR computers ( I was previously running the old Twitter app). I installed the new update today as well.
It has never worked for me on any of these four computers. The splash screen opens and then the app shuts down. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works.
I'm used to drag & drop pictures when I have to insert them inline in a mail, or in a FB post or in Twitter. With Windows 10 I cannot! AS you can see here, my dragged picture cannot be dropped down in Gmail.
It's really difficult having to push through folders to get the photo instead of drag there in a second.
I have added Facebook, Twitter and eBay from App store and expected them to start showing up in Action Centre.
I have been searching to see why i would be having this issue but struggling to find anything. As all the tutorials for enabling i believe i have done!
The apps do not even show up in the list to enable see here .
On a 2nd note, what 6ef43.rbf app is? I cannot find it on my system.
hp 15 laptop win 10 I upgraded from win 8.1 to 10 with a usb bootable. Everything went well and is working fine except! If I put a usb stick in with or without data then go to file explorer it shows a double entry for the usb stick. If it contains data it shows up the same in both entries. Is this a win 10 problem or my computer?
My Windows 10 PC used to allow me to import only new photos from my iPhone but today it wants to import everything again and duplicate what is already there.
Is there a setting that prevents this from happening as sorting out the duplicates each time I back up the phone is going to be a nightmare
I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X + IN2020M_Digital monitor connected via laptop’s HDMI port. Graphics is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I can no longer Duplicate the displays. However, PC Screen Only, Extend, and Second Screen Only will work.In Device Manager I have uninstalled both the IN2020M and the Generic PnP Monitor and restarted. They were added back but no change.I basically confirmed that the monitor is not the problem because I also can't Duplicate the displays when a projector is connected via HDMI.
While on Win 7 I read that it is more secure to create another User account alongside your Admin one, and use that for day-to-day work. Apparently it stops hackers from gaining control of your machine. However, this caused a problem as I have an 256gb SSD system disk and, I think, the duplication has used up too much space, causing problems with programmes like Dropbox. If I delete the 2nd User account will I reclaim some space? If a programme is mounted on both accounts does it take up twice as much space? And, finally, is the security issue still relevant with Win 10?All my data is stored on other hard drives, so that's not a problem.Only the programmes are duplicated.
I'm running Widows 10 on my MacBook via Parallels Desktop. When the W10 login screen appears, I get my user name appear and it logs itself in but is declined. Next, my user name is displayed twice and I click the top one and enter my PIN number and I'm logged in. I would like to delete the second user name display.
Have been working with Build 10074 for several days. Just realized yesterday that my main user folder has duplicate sub-folders (2 Documents, 2 Music, 2 Videos, 2 Downloads, 2 Pictures). They are the same size, have the same properties). Whichever one I delete, makes the other one unusable, where there is an error message like it doesn't exist. Is this a Registry problem? Now I am dual-booting on this particular installation with Windows 7.
When I boot into Win7 and access that User folder, it only shows SINGLE entries, no duplicate. What can I do? I have thought of creating a new user, moving my files into those new sub-folders, then deleting the original user. However, the main user with the duplication is a Microsoft account as opposed to a local account. So that complicates everything.
I don't trust free duplicate file finders. Is there a way to find and delete duplicate files easily from a folder in Windows 10 that does not require using another program?
I think I downloaded a .reg file from internet that created double system folders in my computer but I can't remember. They seem to be an extra music, videos, documents, pictures and downloads folder but I cannot put any files in the folder. How to delete them? There's also a strange name in address bar when I open one of the folders. Also, when I click start and then click a folder liek videos folder then nothing happens.
I am after some software that will remove duplicate files. In this case, some program seems to have recreated duplicate folders with just a file called "desktop.ini" in it. I would like to be able to search for that and remove all the corresponding duplicate folders that contain just that filename.
I've been experiencing a problem with the Windows 10 Calendar app - it shows duplicate events. I'm using a Microsoft account (Outlook.com) and have in configured on the computer. Mail app Works ok and syncs. Calendar App shows duplicate events. If I access the same calendar on Outlook.com the calendar shows OK with no duplicates. On another computer with the same Setup the calendar does not show duplicates, Works as expected so this seems a problem confined to this one computer only.
This Windows 10 instalation is about a month old (installed from scratch - no upgrade from 8) ans has all published MS updates instaled and also all app updates. Have tried to uninstall the Calendar app, rebooted, reinstall the app, but duplicates persist.
Since upgrading to Windows 10 from 7, I have noticed icons duplicating in the system tray. I haven't been able to find a solution online, as everyone else is complaining about icons in the taskbar. The most commonly duplicated icons have been Vuze, Samsung Link, and Norton Antivirus.
know a solution or reason for these multiples of icons?
In case the image link doesn't work, here is the direct link to the screenshot on my google drive.

Since upgrading, when I go to file explorer I have duplicates of everything, e.g., several desk tops, several My PCs, several libraries. It's hard to judge how many because inside each on are duplicate icons. So every folder I have appears multiple times. I counted at least 4 for each of my HD's (internal and external) all my USB drives (which shouldn't even show up unless they are in use), etc.
I've included a screen shot but it's a little confusing since there are so many duplications, I couldn't show them in one shot. If you look you will that the first image goes down to Library > Network. The remaining icons are on the second page (though the second page also includes stuff from the first). Just start with Network on the second page.
I have been using file history on Windows 10. It is very unpredictable. File history is backing up to external drive, but it has coupled the entire "C" drive. In file explorer I have two "G" drives. I thought it only backup recent files not duplicate the drive.
