When I click on save button the contact page closes, but the contact is not created in the contact list. I am able to create it from people.live.com and sync it back. Hard reset is the only way? Soft reset doesn't work.
View 1 RepliesAny mail that I receive that contains an animated attachment shows as a still i.e. no movement at all. This is not a problem with Outlook mail.
Another problem is the inability to set up a group contact, which is important to me. Again there is no problem with Outlook.
I am running a fully updated Windows 10 Pro Eng. Build 10586.
I go to the start menu, click on settings and when I click on the Update & Security button the window just vanishes !
I have restarted and tried several times to no avail.
I don't seem to have access to my Yahoo contact list. When I use the People app, I can't add Yahoo to the account list, How can I get access to my contact list in Yahoo? If I use my Gmail account I can't find out how to import my Yahoo contact list.

View 1 RepliesI've upgraded one of my computers from Windows 8.1 to 10 and when opening the People app my contacts do show but no picture is shown. In Windows 8.1 the People app could be connected to several social networks and pull contact info. If I access my MS account on the web, the People page still shows my social network connections, but I know that the Facebook integration has been deprecated.

All other contacts can be deleted with a right click and delete, but not this one. I suppose it got added by installing skype.

I AM the administrator! So I went through the process of changing my login to the administrator after Windows 10 put someone I don't know in charge. I'm trying to re-install a wireless HP printer which worked exceptionally well in Windows 8.
When I attempt to install the printer driver I don't have permission. "Contact the administrator" still pops up!
Why do you suppose I'm getting junk emails that show the names of individuals that are in my contact list...but have completely different email addresses?

View 2 RepliesI still have Facebook contact information within my Windows 10 People but I'm not being allowed to delete them. I get told that I have to remove them from Facebook first but since we can no longer connect and sync contacts with Facebook, I can't do that either. I'm setting up a new desktop PC and I really want all of that irrelevant contact information to be gone.
View 2 RepliesAs with many I have upgraded to Windows 10 today and it is going well except for the fact I am unable to save any files or create new ones in the Documents and Pictures folders or any sub-folders within these folders. For instance, I tried to save an image created in paint and attempted to save it in the Pictures folder, it gave me the error message seen in this picture below:
Note, I am the only user on the system, and also the admin account so I do not know why it says this. Clicking Yes on the box does nothing and the same thing still occurs afterward. In addition, bringing up the right click menu and going to new only allows me to create a new folder, and the windows admin shield icon appears next to it. Deleting files also prompts me to ask for admin permission but in that case I can simply click the continue button and it goes through.

So I can open the app store and search for apps as long as its not in the search bar but as soon as I decide what app I want and click on it to download it closes the app store. Same thing happens when I try to use the search bar in the app store.

I also tried some other powershell commands that were suggested by others on some sites but i get the error that 'AppxManifest.xml' file was not found.
I upgraded from Win7 to Win10 while back and not sure why but a lot of times when i right click on a folder to copy or rename the mouse cursor starts turning and 5-7 seconds later kicks me out and closes all open folders, and then i have to go and open that specific folder again.

I have upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I had problems going into and out of sleep mode which seem have been resolved by installing updates for Intel Graphics. Now I can't get anything to come up when I left click on the Start button. All of the other icons in the task bar will only work with a left click of the mouse, nothing happens with a right click. Also, I did not get Cortana when I upgraded to Windows 10 on this device. I also upgraded another lap top and have Cortana on that one. With all of these problems occurring one after the other, can I reinstall Windows 10?

View 15 RepliesWhen I open an image on my windows 10 PC it fails to open in the photos app and force closes the app and shows the message "file system error (-2145042388)". Some other apps like Adobe Reader touch, Mail & Calendar, Calculator and many more are also not opening. When I connect the PC to Internet it works and all apps open but with a delay.

View 7 RepliesDesktop settings seem to have been totally HOSED UP on build 100130 - Works on some machines but this one - the Task bar won't hide so I can't get access to the SAVE / SAVE AS / CANCEL buttons when doing a download.
I don't want to make text smaller -- it's small enough already --often have problems with tiny text in menus etc --for example Photoshop !)!!!.
I'm currently running Windows 7 Pro on a Lenovo ThinkPad.
I have the Get Windows 10 icon showing. When I click it, it takes me to the Upgrade Now button. So far so good.
When I click the Upgrade Now button, I get the starting to download screen with the circle dots. After a few seconds, it then takes me to the Windows 7 'Windows Update' page in the control panel, where it says that 'windows is up to date'. And that's it.
How to get Windows 10 to upgrade? I've done other laptops without issue.
I use Windows Live Mail, and every time I create a category in my contacts, add 25 names, I come back to find that it has been deleted. Is there a limit to the amount of contacts it holds? How to permanently save a category?
View 1 RepliesHow do I turn off the mouse auto click when it hovers over a link in a web page. I downloaded the windows 10 and it has started doing this. I can't find a thing anywhere about this issue. I have an Asus laptop and a Toshiba laptop and they are both doing this since getting the windows 10. I spend more time going back to my original page than I get to read the original page! Try shopping and reading a description. Taking a test online was challenging to say the least.
