Dec 16, 2015Since i upgraded to win 10 i could not play music from my phone through laptop speakers via bluetooth. I could send and receive files to and fro via Bluetooth and the phone also gets connected/paired without any issues, but the music playing option is not happening. My previous OS win 7 had no problems in playing the music.I have a dell inspiron 15R laptop and asus zenfone 4 mobile.My phone specs shows it supports A2DP ( and it used to play in win 7).

Sep 7, 2015I've connected my iPhone 5 to my HP ZBook 15 on windows 10 via bluetooth but i cant stream music like i used to on win 7, even on windows 7 it worked in the beginning and then i reinstalled win 7 and installed drivers from cd (that came with pc) cause i had a virus, then when i reinstalled it won't work... a while after i installed windows 10 and here i am...i searched bluetooth on sys info and here's the result:

Nov 23, 2015I am aware that windows 10 (I am used to Windows 7) will not negatively play MPG files. I know this is a side effect of the codec being ripped out to prevent DVD playback via Media Player. The annoying thing is I have quite a few family MPG files mainly from our ageing Sony Camcorder on my system. Luckily I have Cyberlink Media Show pre installed that can play the files within it's own software and the media suite (espresso) can convert said files to other formats.
However, converting takes time and it is frustrating that media player 12 won't do the job and Windows Explorer won't display these MPG files with the handy thumbnail within file explorer viewing. Given that I am a little distrustful of codec packs and all my other files such as MP4, WMV etc etc play well I am looking for a solution that maybe just allows windows explorer to display the thumbnails and as an added bonus Media Player can once again play them. It does seem draconian that MS stifled a common playback format such as MPG in the last 2 windows and a major backwards step. I know I could download something like VLC or Media Player Classic but it seems pointless seeing as I have software that can already play them.
I tried K Lite Codec Pack a while back but hated the effect it had that I uninstalled. It was causing thumbnails to constantly refresh everytime I opened a folder. So is there a way of slipping in a single codec only related to MPG files without risk of unsettling all the other stuff that works well? Many of the codec packs seem to have the unpleasant side effect of slipping in extra installations and seem very dodgy and capable of causing grief.

Jun 13, 2015I've tried everything at this point that I can think of but I can't seem to get these two apps to work anymore. I can use the preview apps no problem.
I've tried using the Powershell command to basically refresh the apps installed on the machine and it fixed my Mail/Calendar apps that were also having this issue but no luck on my Media apps.
I've tried manually uninstalling them and redownloading them from the store with no luck either. I'm not sure what has happened and would like to know if at all possible, how I may be able to get these working again.
Why Unable To Play Video Or DVDs
Sep 18, 2015Just downloaded the new "free" Windows 10 and found that I cannot play videos or DVD's. Had Windows 8.1 previously and was able to find a fix but no luck so far. I don't want to spend $99.99 on Windows Pro which is what Microsoft says is what I need to do.

Aug 23, 2015just few days back i have installed free updates of windows 10 from windows 7.I thought i am lucky to have windows 10 for free,but now i am in problem.I am unable to play offline downloaded videos through media players. It is not playing smoothly.Videos are stopping automatically and then running by their own and sound is not matching with the videos. I have VLC,KM player,5K player;not a single player is operating . I have checked device manager and updated display adapter but problem not solved.

Jan 25, 2016Ok so I have a wireless Bluetooth device. It has worked fine connected to a windows 7 and 8 computer. Now I am trying it on 10. For the software I wrote for it to work properly I need to be able to specify which COM port it uses when connecting.
In windows 7 and 8 I would then go to "Bluetooth settings", click "New Connection", and then follow the setup wizard. Here I would be able to set the device to be in Dev mode and specify the COM port to always use. In the new windows 10 "Bluetooth settings" program I can not find a way to do this.
Also I have two different "Bluetooth settings" programs show up in the start menu. One I can open up and it will show my device, but I am unable to do what I mentioned above. The other program with this name has the same icon as what is on my Windows 7 and 8 machines, but gives me the error "unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)"

Aug 7, 2015I have mu music collection on a QNAP NAS. This is mapped as a network drive. I can add this a loacation for Groove to get it's music from but while it accepts this is doesn;t actualkly find any music even though it's there. Odd thing the old 'Music' app did work after the upgrade to 10 but then seemed to stop after the recent update when I think 'Groove' replaced it.I found this on a MS article: If you have music stored on a network or network access storage (NAS) drive:To use a network drive with the Music app:
The drive must be hosted by a Windows operating system.You must have Windows Search and Desktop Experience features installed.You must enable Indexing for the share. PC Unable To Start Due To Corrupt Windows Files - Unable To Reformat HDD
Dec 22, 2015Due to corrupt windows files my pc is unable to start. i am able to go into the bios, but after that it will freeze on the windows logo during start up. i have made a usb windows 10 installer and tried to start the pc up using that as my hard drive (went into bios and changed it to use that as my hard drive) but it still freezes on the same screen. I even unplugged my hdd and booted up but the same thing happens so I don't believe the problem is with my hd.

Sep 1, 2015My computer is only a month old and I am starting to have errors after a few hours of the computer running regardless of what I have been doing. It gets as bad as not being able to open games at all. It's only after 3 or 4 hours of it running though. I noticed adobe flash player will stop working then I won't be able to stream music then games will freeze when you open them. Once I do a restart everything works perfectly again.

Temps are mostly below 160 other than 1 spot on the motherboard that reaches 220f during gaming. It doesn't get that hot when I am using Microsoft Word but it still slows down after a while.Temps checked with a hardware monitoring program. (Hwmonitor I think)
