I have not been able to share my ethernet through my laptop since the time I upgraded to windows 10. what is wrong? when i try using connectify me it shows ap mode not supported?

View 3 RepliesEver since i updated my windows 7 to windows 10, i am unable to use any of mobile's Wifi-hotspot to use internet on my laptop which i used to do earlier hassle-free.
Now whenever i try to connect my laptop to a wifi-hotspot of any of my mobile phones the laptop seems to connect with it and also shows 'Internet Access' sometimes (or Limited Access most of the times) but when i try to open any of the websites it doesn't open.
How do i connect my laptop (Win10) to a portable WiFi-Hotspot?
Using Windows 10 to provide as a WiFi Hotspot as what seems to happen when clients connect is it is not successful after trying the Obtaining IP Address, clients include Android mobile devices and set top boxes.
View 3 RepliesI upgraded from W8 to W10. I have Acer V17. For few weeks, everything seemed to be ok... And then, one week ago, I restarted my computer, and I think I saw some actualisation being installed (I thought I turned them off, but I probably did not...). Since that moment I dont have WIFI. And I mean no WIFI at all - my network center says, there are no WIFI networks to connect to.
But that is not true, because on my phone and other devices, there are WIFI networks. I tried to google the answer and tried few things, but nothing works. In Device manager, my WIFI adapter (Qualcom Atheros) ha yesllow exclamation mark, but when i try to update the drivers, it says, they are up to date... but the exclamation mark is still there, an I have no connection. I am completely hopeless, because I need WIFI for my job. I really hate the moment I decided to upgrade this system.
I have an ASUS laptop X751L.
Yesterday the USB ports and wifi stopped working within a couple hours of each other.
When plugging in a USB device the laptop makes an audible signal that it picks it up but nothing happens after that.
I have Windows 10 installed on it.
I have just replaced my WiFi card from (BCM943228HMB) to BCM94352HMB. Before replacing my WiFi card i done the following:
Made computer boot in safe mode with networking.
After that i replaced the card, then booted into windows 10 (safe mode with networking) and checked device manager. Everything was OK (See attached picture). I then tried to turn on WiFi, but it does not turn on.
Experienced this problem of losing wifi drivers after installing win 10, my hp laptop does not detect wifi but if I plug in ethernet cable the internet connection is sporadic.
View 3 RepliesBrought a new Dell laptop and came with windows 10 and i can't get it to connect to wifi. It worked perfectly at my mums, but at home it says wifi password incorrect when its not. I have updated drivers, disabled and enabled the wireless adapter. In command prompt i type ipconfig/renew it says no operation can be performed.

View 3 RepliesI have an odd issue with my laptop since upgrading to Windows 10. The first time I boot I cannot connect to my home Wifi, however when I reboot I can. It is always the same every time I switch it on in that it will only connect on the second boot.
View 6 RepliesUpon upgrading to W10 my laptops wireless was given an update from windows update which added new drivers for the wireless card.
Since this update my on-board WI-Fi is no longer functioning. The adapter is there, but it says there are no networks available. If i go to the wireless setting and attempt to click Wi-Fi to on it just flickers back and remains off.
The wireless adapter is now showing as "intel centrino wireless-N 1030" and it shows several other bluetooth devices which were not present before the update. The driver update seems to have introduced some new bluetooth functionality but the result is that it has disabled my Wi-Fi.
I have a laptop with Windows 10, and it has been working fine for months. Yesterday I thought I had a connection issue with the Internet, and set the computer aside until it was resolved. Later I checked my phone, and saw that the WiFi is actually working just fine. I have restarted and reset and tried to connect to Hotspots and all sorts of netsh commands.

View 5 RepliesSo yesterday my wi-fi started to turn off randomly for no reason, its not my internet connection becouse it works on other devices. Also i already tried ticking off power saving option on my network adapter, it worked for a while i thought, but after i restarted my laptop even though its still ticked off, its still turning off randomly.. (Also i noticed it turns off when i plug or unplug my mouse?)
Other problems i have:
1. Cant set opera as my default browser it asks me if i want to set it as default every time i open it and i always click yes..
2. Cant turn my touchpad off even though when i use fn+f9 it says its turned off..
My laptop is randomly disconnecting from my new router. Sometimes it's every few minutes, sometimes it can be an hour or two in between disconnections. This only seems to effect wireless devices and I notice it most often on my laptop. The router is a Fritz!Box 7490 and is connected to 2degrees Internet. The message in the WLAN event log is :
Wireless LAN device deregistered itself (5 GHz). MAC address: 64:BC:0C:6A:79:62 The weird thing is that if I disconnect from wifi and reconnect it re-establishes the connection near instantly. Sometimes it just shows as connected to wifi but not to the internet.
I have tried factory resetting the router and I've tried setting my laptop DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I have also tried to change the wifi channels in case of interference.
After updating from windows 7 to 10 I faced a problem, my laptop's wifi does not auto connect when i turn it on, instead i have to reset my wifi adapter to connect to my wifi, this was not an issue on windows 7. My drivers are all up to date i even tried to reinstall them but still no result. It feels annoying to reset my adapter all the time when i turn on my laptop
View 2 RepliesI recently updated my HP ENVY laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 & immediately started having issues with my WIFI speed. I was able to connect to the wireless network just fine with no limited connectivity, etc but the speed crawls. It's only my laptop...all other wifi devices are running with no noticeable difference. I went through a bunch of troubleshooting steps and couldn't get it to improve.
I was able to figure out my wifi speed is great when my laptop is connected to ac power, but immediately drops speed when unplugged. All of my initial troubleshooting was on battery power.
I checked the driver Power Management tab and unchecked the Allow the computer.... option. Also Control Panel-Power Options and changed the Wireless Adapter Settings to be on Maximum Performance for both On Battery & Plugged In.

Can see the hot spot but when try to connect comes back with can't connect to this network
View 1 RepliesI am having a weird day with my Windows 10 Pro PC. I had to reset it earlier, and it is throwing a tantrum about it.
I can connect to the internet just fine through my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot, but when I attempt to connect to my router to use my home Wi-Fi connection, it connects but says it has no internet connection. There are no less than 4 other computers, 3 phones, and 2 tablets which all use this connection (the router, that is) regularly (2 computers are on it right now) with no issues at all.
When I attempt to use the router, it says it's connected, but has no internet. I would think that would mean no outside internet connection, but network access... but I can't even access the router's homepage.
Router is a Mikrotik Routerboard RB951Ui-2HnD provided by my ISP. I have tried rebooting both the router and the PC several times with no success and I just finished a clean install of Windows, again with zero results.
PC Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro
CPU: Athlon FX-6300 6-core 3.5GHz
Mobo: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
RAM: 8GB DDR3 PC12800
Graphics: 2GB eVGA Geforce 750 Ti SC

Networking is through one of those cheap little Edimax USB Dongles. Tested fine in 2 other PC's and is using the most recent driver in this one.
I have been trying to create a hotspot from my HP laptop, which runs Windows 10, for a while (my laptop is connected to the internet by an ethernet cord). However, I keep running into roadblocks. I followed the instructions found here:

I've also followed the instruction on the apps found from the Windows App Store that give you instructions on how to use your laptop to broadcast wifi.
I have been able to successfully create and "start" a network that could broadcast wifi, but the new network, under the category of "Access Type", always says "No Network Connection". There is no connectivity problem with the ethernet itself. My laptop surfs the web just fine. But for some reason, the new networks that I create in order to broadcast wifi will always display "No Network Connection". I've tried troubleshooting it for a while but to no avail.
I'm running Windows 10 now and I haven't been able to connect to my Lumia 822 (WP 8.1) using internet sharing. I click on connect on Windows 10, and then it says "Can't setup mobile hotspot".
View 10 RepliesI have no wifi after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Looking at Device Manager, I believe my Network Adapter is Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabit Network Connection. Looking online, I do not find a driver for Windows 10.

The network shows up as available but when I hit connect it says "cannot connect to this network". When I run the troubleshooter it give me the error 'problems with wireless adapter or access point - not fixed'. I have restarted the computer and the router and made sure the drivers are up to date.
View 1 RepliesI knew I should've never installed windows 10, but I decided to since it's free and all. When I successfully installed it and tried to connect to wifi, it didn't work. My wifi has small range (so people don't guess the password and use our wifi), but large enough for our whole house. I got right next to my router and it still didn't show up on the Wifi List.
View 1 RepliesI upgraded my friends HP laptop to Windows 10. The issue now is I can't enable Wifi. The card is recognized correctly in Device manager and no issues is found with it. It looks like it is fine. However in the Network Settings WLAN is set to "Off" and when I try to turn it on it always jumps right back to off. eg. I can't enable it.
HP clearly state any laptop bought prior to specific date in 2013 will not get any driver updates from their side for windows 10. And updating through device manager only tells me it's the newest driver available.
The Wifi card i Broadcom 4313GN card. I searched for win 10 drivers but did not find anything.They only offer linux drivers on their homepage...
So any solution to the issue or link to a win 1' driver for this wifi card?
