So I installed windows 10 on my PC yesterday, I used to have windows 7. Today I turned on my PC and it says that I can choose to open my PC in windows 7 but not windows 10. So I thought OK I'll just try that, Then it said an error 0xc0000428 and it won't let me turn my PC on, I press enter and it enters the same loop of saying the error and selecting what version of windows I want to open.

So, this is a really weird problem I've only JUST started to encounter. I went to go overclock my CPU, as I've been playing FF14 a lot these past few months and figured an overclock would work out with the events taking massive chunks out of my framerate whenever I go near a populated area.
So, the Overclock failed, and I had to restart my computer and go back into the BIOS to reset everything to factory. This is where it gets weird. Now, whenever I boot up my PC it'll go into Windows but give me a 0xc0000225 Error. But, when I go into BIOS and go into the boot menu and boot my SSD from there, it works flawlessly. It's not a /massive' inconvenience I suppose, but it's still baffling.

They ask me to download a program called Rehearse Score(Link Below). I downloaded the program but now it is requiring administrator privileges to run. Is their anyway to give this person access to this one application without giving them full admin rights?

View 9 RepliesI recently built my computer, and it was working fine, I installed all of the drivers, but when I installed my graphics driver, my monitor just turned off. Now when I try and boot my machine, it goes to the windows 10 logo then nothing. My screen is black and my USB connected devices just turn off.

mobo - asus m5a97 r2.0
GPU - Zotac GeForce 760
CPU - amd fx 8350
PSU - corsair 600w
So I added my outlook account to the Windows 10 mail app. I can get mail on my iPhone and thru the outlook site in the Edge browser, BUT the mail app wont let me log in, wont let me delete the account (it says "something went wrong" and wont sync with my account.

You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them" however, I have administrator access on my computer. This was working before I upgraded to windows 10 (I was on windows 7)

View 9 RepliesI have a new Dell Computer with Windows 10. I have deleted McAfee with its on Uninstaller and also with another uninstaller. I have no other antimalware programs running. I have tried a number of ways to start Windows Defender, which is the only antimalware program listed in my Security area. I have tried to start it with Services. I get an error message as shown below. I get this error message: "The Windows Defender Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs." I have removed all other antimalware programs and no longer get McAfee popups.

View 2 Replies(On Windows 10) I can't seem to be able to turn on windows firewall... From action center turning it on fails and it sends me to turn it on manually, but when I try and do that, nothing happens. It seems to load for a while, but nothing happens.
Windows Firewall Authorization Driver is where it should be in it's file location, but when I looked in device manager I couldn't find it (showing hidden).
The windows firewall service is on automatic, but won't turn on. (When I try turning it on it exits with permission denied error) base Filtering Service is on automatic and is running.
WMI repository is consistent.
I had a trojan in my temp files earlier, but other than that no viruses.
I ran: Malwarebytes, superAntiSpyware and Spybot
The problem first appeared today (I don't think it was present yesterday). I don't think anything else has changed except, I re-installed Spotify. It was unable to initialize the storage of temporary files. (I have an old version of spotify that has been tricked to not update).
I just ran sfc and it found some problems and apparently couldn't fix them all. This might be because I used a program to delete parts of windows that i don't want. (mainly Microsoft's spying stuff and store apps) I just don't know if the problems it found were actual problems or just "Windows 10 seems to be missing essential botnet services" ...
This install is less than 2 weeks old, so I doubt there is that much corruption or something like that.
My windows labtop is always turn sideways when i turn it on. I can change it when the computer is started up. How I can change it that i can get the right screen instead of the sideways screen?

View 3 RepliesI can't turn on Windows Defender. When I try to launch it, a window saying "This app has been turned off and is not monitoring your computer" pops up. I tried everything that's listed on the MS answers thread. I am unable to start the Windows Security Centre service too. It doesn't stay enabled i.e., it becomes disabled as soon as I close the Services app. I have no anti-virus installed. Been using WD since I upgraded.

1] go to setting>Extras>access point
2] create a new access point ( insert anything in fields
3] Set it as active
whenever you want to turn on data go to access point n choose working (default) access point ...
Every time I switch on my PC, after about 5 minutes, I get this annoying notification (see picture) from my OS asking me to turn on the security center service; please, note that, on my PC, I am judge, jury and executioner, meaning I decide what stays on and off, at least I've always been so although now, with Windows 10, this has become somehow more difficult. So, yes, I have turned off the security center service because I don't need it and I don't want it! Furthermore.
Now. I've tried disabling every possible notification I could find under the notification menu and the security center one; I've Googled for a solution but I haven't found anything: apparently, everybody loves this service.
While I'm here, is it possible to obtain system privileges in Windows 10? I've tried the old trick with the cmd task but it doesn't work anymore: the cmd windows does open and with "system" as well but it's not interactive apparently.

But if I restart my pc the mouse and keyboard will do the same thing but instead of the error I get, choose keyboard layout, and a list of options but I cant choose them because the mouse isn't working. This all started happening after I upgraded my power supple but I when I put my old power supple in I had the same problem. I recently upgraded a Toshiba A300 laptop (2009 model) from Win7 to Win10. I use a 125GB Kingston SSD as primary and a 280GB Hitachi as a secondary internal hard disk, in place of DVD drive, inside a cradle. This is a single OS installation, no dual boot. When I cold boot (from power on) and after the Bios logo, the "MBR Error 1" appears on screen and stops booting. To bypass I do a warm restart (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and the second (warm) boot loads Win 10. Also booting is ok from a Restart. Again error message appears only after a cold boot.
As a teaser I have to mention that, whenever I remove the cradle with the secondary Hitachi hard disk, the error does not appear during cold boot !!!. That is the error message appears only if the second hard disk is installed. This is an annoying situation only and does not affect any other operation, except booting.
