I bought an XBOX One controller with cable for Windows from Amazon. When I plugged it in, I hear the new device recognition tone but nothing else. Supposedly, the correct driver is part of Windows 10 and nothing else was needed. But it has never vibrated with any game. I've tried updating the driver, even tried it on another pc with Windows 10 and no luck.
View 2 RepliesI've got a Logitech F310 gamepad. It has the button in the center, which is useful in Steam when in full picture mode. But Windows 10 is treating this as the "Xbox" home button and when I press it, it brings up the little indicator window with the "Click for Help" option. How do I disable Windows from doing this with my controller while still leaving the button functionality for Steam?
View 2 RepliesMy friend gave me a wireless USB dongle to use with my Xbox 360 controller for my PC tower. For whatever reason, Windows wasn't recognizing the dongle so I forcibly-assigned the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller driver present in Windows 10 to the dongle. Now, I can connect my Xbox 360 controller, but I have lost all sound output. I have tried updated drivers, reinstalling, and disabling specific drivers to no avail. At one point, uninstalling this Creative sound driver(which worked earlier) made my sound work for an hour, but now my sound doesn't work again. I don't want to reinstall Windows and lose all the applications a friend downloaded for me.
View 1 RepliesI installed Windows 10 for the first time a few hours ago. I like the new interface, etc, but I have a few problems:
Xbox One wired controller doesn't work. Windows 10 automatically install a driver for it, but it still doesn't work. I tried some solutions like this, but without success. I haven't that Microsoft Xbox One Controller entry he wrote about.
Xbox controller works fine with another PC. And these USB ports as well, works fine with other devices.
All of a sudden my XBOX 360 controller has stopped working on my desktop. I will connect it to a port it will blink 2-3 times and then it won't show up on device manager or anywhere. It was working just a few days back. I purchased Project Cars and now am panicked since I don't have money for a wheel and can't drive with keyboard. I thought maybe it was the controller itself, but it works fine on laptop-lights up in middle and can use it with emulator. Here is my desktop specs.

Here is what I have done so far. Tried multiple USB ports on back of computer. No luck. Does same thing with all of them Tried to use device manager and scan for hardware changes-no luck there. Tried downloading XBox 360 controller accessories from MS. No luck there
I have been having a problem with the USB 3.0 ports on my computer.
This computer is a Windows 10 64-bit machine that I built in November. It has an Asus P9X79 LE motherboard, and an Intel i-7 4820 CPU.
A few days ago, I noticed that two external drives attached to the two rear USB 3.0 connections were not showing up among the listed drives. This MB also has a USB 3.0 header, to which I have connected four USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case. I found that my drives, and other USB devices, were recognized and worked fine when plugged into the front ports, but not when plugged into the back.
The first thing I did was check the USB section of the Device Manager. The USB 3.0 controller was listed, and there were no warnings (yellow ! icons) to indicate any problems. Since then, I have tried the following:
First, I searched for hardware changes in the Device Manager. It found nothing.
Second, I deleted the USB 3.0 controller and rebooted to get the system to reinstall the device. It did reinstall the device, but this accomplished nothing.
Third, I updated the BIOS to the latest version on the Asus website. I verified with ASUS that this was indeed the most current version. No change.
Fourth, I updated all chipset drivers for the MB, with the current files on the Asus website. No change.
Then, a couple of days later, the front USB ports stopped working. Checking the Device Manager, the USB 3.0 controller is now missing. Checking online, I found a suggestion that USB 3.0 might be disabled in the BIOS, so..
Fifth, I checked the BIOS settings, and found no way to enable or disable USB 3.0.
One thing that is very odd about this, which the Asus tech commented on, was that the front ports were working while the back ones were not, since they rely on the same controller.
Second, if I were to purchase a PCI-e USB 3.0 board, would it have its own controller, so I won't have to rely on the Asus MB for this functionality?
I upgraded to windows 10 today and I had no access to the internet .. I installed the KE2200 ethernet controller driver for windows 10 from here (standard driver): [URL]... but still no luck!
The windows 10 troubleshooter identified the current driver being the problem but couldnt repair it. I didn't copy the detailed results from this troubleshoot unfortunately but will do on my next Windows 10 installation attempt.

What is a Pci encryption/decryption controller? I have a yellow exclamation in device manager. Where do I download the driver?
View 3 RepliesI recently had my PlayStation 3 system corrupt, and I had two options, to delete all of my data and start new, or go trough a long process to restore my data.
To restore my data, I need to change my computer to the SATA Controller mode IDE, but I can not find it in the system BIOS. The closet thing I can find is switching between AHCI and ATA, but I need IDE mode.
Where can I find the setting to change it?
So i had this virus that was keep sending and redirecting to websites like - get money from this etc. So I wanted to uninstall but i uninstalled something VCI controller driver and now my keyboard, mouse are not working, I am on windows 7. Msi x99a sli krait edition (flashed n2.0 to n4.0)
Windows 10 64 home edition
System is only a year old.
Flashed bios for updated memory compatibility.
Directly after all works except Internet.
Network controller is now missing (no "other devices", or exclamation point next to device.)
A month ago the wifi card had to be removed to free up pci lanes for an m.2 nvme, so I have no alternative method for Internet access.
Windows sees absolutely no networks or adapters.
Ethernet port is not blinking.
Mobo utility driver disc doesn't see a device to install drivers for.
I set monitor to turn off after 15 minutes and computer to sleep after 3 hours, none of that works unless i disconnect game controller, than it works perfectly. is there any way to solve this or i just to wait for microsoft to release some kind of update?
View 1 RepliesI am finding the correct driver for my SATA RAID controller which is operating two mirrored 2TB hard drives. The computer still recognizes the controller being installed at the BIOS level. But currently Windows doesn't see the controller card or hard drives.
Information on the card is; Sil 3124 PCI/PCI-X to 4 port SATA300
System information is: AMD 64x2 Dual Core 5800+ 3.00GHZ with 6GB RAM operating Windows 10 Pro.
Okay, I upgraded from Windows 7 64Bit to windows 10 Home 64bit.
Everything ran smooth and fine. I first get into windows (after the "Hi" screen and setting up apps screen) and I see my desktop. I install the latest video drivers first thing. I go to reboot and when It boots back into windows.
NONE of my USB devices are working at all. I had to use splashtop (remote desktop service) to connect to my windows 10 PC to be able to control it at all. Come to find out.
ASmedia USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller (3 of the listed)
and
Intel C600/X79 series Chipset USB2 Enhanced Controller #1 (and #2)
all had exclamation points in front of them.
I click on them and it is giving me a code 48
which is windows is blocking the driver from starting because it has known issues with windows.
NOW it was working FINE until I rebooted the computer. It has done this TWO times.
I try to update the driver.. it says I have the best driver installed.
I try to manually update the driver using C:/windows as the place to look.. it says I have best driver installed.
I try to uninstall the driver and let windows install it again... same results as above.. it just gets the exclamation mark again immediately.
I tried uninstalling, rebooting.. same results.
I tried looking on Asus's website for USB drivers for windows 10. They have NO USB drivers for windows 10 at all listed under my board. (Asus Rampage IV Formula)
Is there anyway to stop windows from blocking the driver? I also tried checking intel's website for USB drivers for windows 10.. nothing.
Also I tried installing the Intel Chipset Software that is listed on this site, though for some reason it won't let me install it. It keeps asking for SetupChipsetx64.msi, and keeps looking in a folder in which it doesn't exist.. and the .msi is not in the folder that you extract from the download either.
How are manufacturers this unprepared for a OS launch?
I have a Realtek PCIe GBE family controller that is acting very finicky within windows 10. My internet is on and off, and fluctuates a lot, Is there any solutions to the instability in my network? When i run the network diagnostic it says default gateway unavailable, but I have to do this nearly every 4-5 minutes. This is what my computer components are: [URL]
View 1 RepliesMacbook pro early 2011 bootcamp was not willing to let the SSD run in AHCI mode in windows 10, so I did EFI installation of windows 10. Everything seems to work but the audio card.
Code: This device cannot start. (Code 10) in the High definition audio controller.
I tried installing the drivers manually and automatically and from the bootcamp but this error persists.
Is the problem in the EFI implementation of the macbook pro early 2011 that windows cannot read , or is it related to drivers ? I downloaded latest videocard Intel HD 3000, and realtek generic driver. The audio drivers seems to be from currus logic.
On Bootcamp install (BIOS) the sound card works fine, but in EFI it can not start the driver.
the app is not unistalling opened powershell as admin and used the code below
Get-AppxPackage *xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage

This app is part of Windows and cannot be uninstalled on a per-user basis. An administrator can attempt to remove the app from the computer using Turn Windows Features on or off
How do you stream a video from your win 10 pc to the xbox one? In windows 8 you could play to and then select the xbox. Is there anyway to do that in Windows 10? like play to feature in win 8
View 4 RepliesWith Windows 8, I had a bunch of different apps for videos (movies, tv, etc). I would start a video, swipe from the right, select 'device', select my Xbox One, and it would stream to the Xbox. Now I am not seeing any way to do this.

View 1 RepliesI'm getting an Xbox One for Christmas. If I have the Xbox hooked up to a TV, can I still connect it to my laptop, which is across the house? If so, can my brother play the Xbox on TV while I play it on my laptop? Two games at once?!
PS: This will all happen after Windows 10 comes out.
So I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, and am trying to get the Xbox app working.
When I open it up, I am greeted with a message that says: "There's a problem with your account. To fix it, go to Xbox.com and sign in". I have a valid Microsoft account, that works fine for everything else. None the less, I go to Xbox.com in Firefox, click Sign In, and am greeted by a error screen. I find this odd, because I'm not even logged in yet (I've even wiped my cookies to be sure). It would appear that something on my system is blocking the Xbox login site system wide, hence why It wont work in the app or in a browser.
Screenshots of the errors are attached and shown bellow. I cant figure out what could be blocking it.
