The comments in YouTube won't load for me in IE on W10.
When I use F12 dev tools and put user agent string to either Chrome or Firefox the comments will load. When I put the string back to default they won't load.
I cleared all cache, cookies, reset browser settings, restarted PC, flushed DNS, restarted modum and router, disabled all add-ons, uninstalled adblock plus, and nothing works. Comments won't load.
So it seems it is only dependent on the user agent string.
I noticed that I cannot paste text into youtube comments on firefox. It still works just fine on Chrome. I tried to use an addon to copy plain text only, but that didn't work, nor have I ever needed it before.
What I mean is: When I press "paste" either by right clicking or CTRL+V, nothing happens. I can otherwise paste just fine to anywhere else, just not into youtube comments...
I re-installed windows a while back and when I ran into this problem again, I decided to find a better fix.
Don't touch the firefox about:config page. This way any other functionality dom.event.clipboardevents provides doesn't break.
I can edit and view the tags (? these are called tags right ?) like 'Comments', 'Title', 'Authors' etc for .JPG and .JPEG files but cannot do the same for .PNG files. How do I it ?If it is not possible, then is there any way to convert 100s of png files to some other format ?
I bought a UPS from a local company, and the software it comes with seems to work okay on windows 10, although officially it does not support this platform.
there are a couple processes that now start up with windows, one of them is java platform SE binary, the other one is Commons Daemon Service Run...
I can't find anything relevant in windows task manager startup tab, and also no shortcut appears in the startup folder.
I would rather not have these processes autostart, as it is a rare day that I actually need them, and besides, I understand that java is a security risk.
How can I disable them, until I actually want to run the UPS program?
I have a provider who has emailed me numerous times a password reset. His notice that the password reset e-mail had been sent, yet I never receive the password reset email. I email him back and he says it was sent! I have checked spam, junk, and every other place I could think of and its not there? I don't know where the problem lies, Windows? Outlook? Server? My ISP said they do not block or screen emails.
I have just learned that Samsung have installed a program that blocks Windows Updates. I am trying to get the Windows 10 upgrade notification and came across an article about this. How I can unblock this Samsung install so that I am able to upgrade to Windows 10?
I am now encountering a series of bugs that i've never seen before in any windows.
OS: Windows 10 Pro official 64 Connection type: Wifi, no firewall activated
Applications impacted: Steam unable to connect, Google chrome unable to connect to install software, Mozilla Firefox same thing, and probably more apps get the same problem but i can download them and install if the installer doesn't have to download anything. It seems like a services that is not working inside windows installer.
I am able to navigate in Microsoft Edge, and some other apps, but unable to install other application, it is like the firewall is blocking the internet acces but the problem is no firewall are activated right now , nothing has been changed to the router settings as other computers on windows doesn't experience that problem. See screen captures below...
Screenshot 1 : it says check you firewall setting to put chrome to your white list
Screenshot 2 : your download has been interrupted, click ok to continue ( nothing has downloaded not even 1% )
Screenshot 3 : it's in English already just read...
I am trying to block all porn sites on the laptop that I let kids play on. I tried using the hosts file to block them, I found a huge list of porn sites to block. But when I tried to load other sites like Facebook, YouTube, etc. It will take forever to load as I believe it is checking the whole list of sites.
Now what am wondering is there anyway of doing it and not have any difference with the speed of any other website? Because youtube should just come up with no issues. But with all those sites in the host file it takes forever.
After two days of trouble shooting I am at wits end. Somehow a User Account has been created with a name related to my Sonos Controller app. It's called Sonos Wireless HiFi System. For all but a very few executables, when I try to use them I get the UAC window, which lists the executable I'm trying, but asks for an administrative password for the Sonos Wireless HiFi System. I did not create this User Account so I have no password.
I've tried uninstalling the Sonos app, but the notice comes up preventing it. I've tried editing the registry to remove the app, but the notice appears. I've tried similar things to delete the User Account. I've tried to reset or recover, but the notice appears. I've tried too many things to list, but whatever I try to execute I get this notice - even for attempts to edit or delete.
SWHS is listed on the start menu as a User Account, just under Guest. It is NOT listed in my User Account Controls.
Microsoft now allows Windows Defender to detect PUAs
Microsoft has recently added a new adware protection system for enterprises, allowing them to detect and block Potentially Unwanted Applications (also known as PUAs) on their computers.
But according to Microsoft own announcement, this feature was only available for enterprises, so consumers running Windows 10 Home or Pro, for example, aren't getting it.
And yet, there's a very simple way to enable this feature on any computer with Windows Defender, and as gHacks notes, it all comes down to just a few registry tweaks.
Before anything, make sure you create a backup or a system restore point, just in case something goes wrong and you need to recover your Windows install.

I bought this new laptop dell Inspiron 15 5000 series, Window 10. earlier youtube was working but now its not working. I restarted couple of times check internet explorer.
I've tried all other browsers on Windows 10 and YouTube shows and it works. I'm on Firefox and YouTube is just a black screen with sound. I've tried on incognito as well and it's the same thing. It only works when I have "Enable hardware acceleration" turned off.
I recently set up 3 computers for my family, doing clean installs of Win10 for all. On two of the computers youtube is set to restricted mode all the time and can't be changed. The third computer has restricted mode set to off.
Many people have this problem, and in every single troubleshooting thread I've seen the problem is supposedly with Microsoft's family safety feature. All three of my computers are signed into my one MS account. Under the family safety tab there are no other "child" or "adult" users listed.
How is it that one computer can work properly, but the other two have youtube stuck on restricted mode?
I downloaded Windows 10 and was pleased. Unfortunately Ever since, when I try to watch a video on (say) YouTube, I get a message that there has been an error and to try again later.
Im using firefox on windows 10. I had choppy video when I first bought this computer a month or so ago and installed windows 10. I changed the webmedia thingy to false to stop html5 and that fixed the problem for quite awhile till this morning. I had been watching netflix on the computer the day before (for the first time) Now today I have the choppy video back. Also noticed the non full screen view appears different. The resolution seemed smaller. The non full screen was smaller and now appears bigger. Resolution is still set right as far as I can tell.
Now I get the choppy video on you tube only and only if using firefox. I also noticed my add on for opening in foreground tab had been disabled. I did not disable it. I re enabled it. I would like to continue to use firefox and windows 10 but fear I may have to go back to 8 or just use internet explorer. About all I use the computer for is watching videos and mostly on youtube. Now I have a worthless to me computer. If I go down to 144p it works fine but anything higher gives me problems. I also have no way of doing a system restore. Only offers me an option for windows 7 even though I am running 10. says there are no restore points even though I set up my computer to save restore points.
my mouse and keyboard completely stop responding after I run a youtube/vk/vimeo video or any website with flash or streaming audio. When the tab with youtube or similar site gets closed, the keyboard resumes typing and cursor moves as usual.
Since installing windows ten everything starts shuts and runs well except I get black screen in youtube and media player although the sound works as normal in both programs ....
Recently, when I opened Youtube, the area previously shown with advertisement was replaced by a big blank area with the message "The server refused the connection", I also noted the advertisements in some other webpage also disappeared.
I am using Windows 10 with Google Chrome and I do not install any advertisement blocking software.
How can I make the advertisements to appear again?
I have Dell Inspiron laptop new one and I lost the sound in youtube and skype after installing windows 10. I followed some suggestion but not working for me.
I am getting recurrent BSOD crashes on my Windows 10 system, while watching videos on youtube. When I was using Windows 7 I have never experienced this problem. Once I upgraded to Windows 10, the BSOD crashes have started. I have seen updated the display drivers. However, the crashes are still there.
I have collected the details using the DM_log_collector.
