Feb 2, 2016I have lost all my Favorites in Edge. I have recovered a copy of the desired Favorites and have placed these favorites on my desktop as a file folder. The file structure has all the folders, and within each folder, the links to all the favorite websites. I have tried placing the contents of this file into the following location:
C:UsersAdminAppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbweACMicrosoftEdgeUserDe fault
I understand that this is the default location for Edge Favorites. With the desired "Favorites" folder placed and verified in the above location and I open Edge and click on Favorites and all I see under Favorites are two folders "Favorites Bar" and "BookmarksBar" (as expected both currently empty). I had hoped to see also an expandable "Favorites" folder with all the subfolders. How to use the previous referenced Desktop file folder or its content to restore my Favorites in Edge.

Dec 16, 2015Since installing the November Windows 10 update (11/17/15) none of my favorites are being stored in the default Edge folder. While in Edge the favorites are available but when I go to the default folder they are not listed. Is there another location they may be being saved or has my default location somehow been changed? My AppData folder shows a creation date of 11/17/15 with no modifications being made in favorites since that date.

Jan 3, 2016I upgraded to Windows 10! When ever I try to just simply search something in Google Chrome is search's for a minute then gives me the error WEBSITE UNAVAILABLE ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED I couldn't even search up what that meant! I only got here because it was a favorites tab.
Same thing happens on Firefox too, takes an hour to load up what I searched and gives me an error, tried Microsoft Edge and it also wouldn't load any search results. I looked around on my phone but no one really has this problem. It can't be my Wi-Fi because it is fine on every other device. What could it possibly be? I can't uninstall Chrome because how would I get it back if nothing else works?!
Things I have tried:
unchecking compatibility mode checking use hardware acceleration (in chrome settings)
unchecking use hardware acceleration running as admin clearing all history and cache (in both browsers)
running ccleaner for both browsers trying a different network restarting my computer all have not worked

Aug 13, 2015Lenovo Thinkpad R500 - Touchpad scroll works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, File Explorer, Device manager and some other places, but it does not work in Start menu or any menu under Control panel, Edge or Windows Store - no matter what I have tried it simply will not Scroll - There is no doubt this a BUG.
I'm guessing it a bug in windows registry, but don't know where to find it. I have been through most that has to do with ALPS. Where the registry settings for the MS software scroll option are.
Touchpad/Trackpoint: ALPS UltraNav 2 - I have the newest driver from lenovo an ALPS don't have driver download available. But can't see how its a driver issue when it works in Device manager and the other places.
I tried getting MS support engineers at MS forum, to take a look at it, but they have this attitude that its driver issue and not Windows bug. Besides that, they never read the question before dishing out some standard solution like "try going to safe mode to see if the problem persist" - That is not going to work, since the drivers that control the scroll will not load in safe mode and then scroll will not work at all, a "real" technician would know that.
Scrolling right now in Firefox - If i go to Edge or Store, its not working.

Oct 6, 2015I really like IE feature to easy import/export Favorites to pen drive or any other destination. EDGE offers only to import Favorites from IE which is a deal breaker for me. Two: My favorites are not alpha sorted by me. On my IE browser, they were arranged and listed by frequency of use, and importance in my work. Edge default sorts them alpha anyway. Can I Stop this unwanted sort feature?

At the time I didn't know that the Favorites for Microsoft Edge are stored in a different folder other than the Windows 7 folder of C:usersmikefavorites. I was told that they are stored in the folder C:UsersMikeAppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbweACMicrosoftEdgeUserDefaultFavorites
but this is only true for the Favorites that imported during the original Windows 10 Update. Any Favorite that I delete from the Favorites list in Microsoft Edge doesn't get deleted from the Windows 10 Favorites Folder. In addition any new Favorites I create in Microsoft Edge do not show up in the Microsoft 10 Favorites Folder either. So where the heck are they?

I updated my pc first and got Microsoft edge browser and created my favorites tab.
I then updated my surface pro 3, but i dont see a way to sync up the browsers so that my favorites show up on my microsoft edge on my pro 3. I rather not have to do the favorites bar again.

Nov 13, 2015I've updated 3 of my PCs with the fall update and I can't seem to get Edge to sync favorites. I imported favorites on the first PC, and the other two onyl show the option to import from another browser on the favorites bar. All three are signed in under the same MS account and set to sync under settings. I'm assuming that the favorites bar should just start sync.

If I hide, then show the favourites bar again via settings, the correct site favicons re-appear, but then revert to stars the next time I open Edge.

Sep 6, 2015I did a big cleanup of all my Favorites in IE11, then deleted all my Favorites/Bookmarks in Chrome and Firefox and re-imported them from IE11 to make sure everything is up-to-date, at least on my primary Windows machine.
I'd like to do the same in Edge but I can't find an easy way to delete all of my favorites at once. I can only see how to delete folders one by one, a tedious chore since I have a lot of folders. Is there any way to delete all Favorites at once in Edge?
Once that's done, I need to understand how the browsers sync with each other. To my surprise, IE11 on my main PC apparently synced folders from Chrome on my Android phone. I don't know if Edge and/or Firefox are doing the same but I'm trying to start fresh with that favorites folder I cleaned up in IE11 with a little support from AM-Deadlink 4.7.
