View 2 RepliesI have a Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph that works without problems aside from the fact that, when I undock it from the keyboard, it doesn't detect that it should now be in Tablet Mode. I have to manually go to the Action Center and toggle it there. Same with docking it back. I have already checked my settings and I didn't disable Tablet Mode either.
how I can resolve this? I just want to seamlessly dock and undock the tablet and it should switch to tablet or desktop mode respectively.
I don't know if it's relevant but the OS is Windows 10 Home Single Language.

View 9 RepliesI'm trying to understand why I would want to use tablet mode. Apart from the minimize, maximize and "x" buttons found in desktop mode. Aren't the modern tile apps that you can launch straight from the start menu in desktop mode, exactly the same as the ones in tablet mode? Apart from the apps being full screen.
If so, I'm thinking I may as well just stay in desktop mode and launch the apps from the start menu in desktop mode?

Tablet mode is disabled when multiple monitors are being used. I suppose that makes a lot is sense, I just wasn't expecting it.
I'm finding the taskbar to be useful in desktop mode (where I tend to be using more apps), but to be a waste of space in tablet mode (where I want a full-screen experience). Is there any way to set the taskbar to auto-hide only in tablet mode?

View 4 RepliesWhen in full blown tablet mode (physical type cover completely removed), sometimes I want to initiate the on-screen keyboard to popup, but there is no keyboard icon in the "systray" area. But I can see the keyboard icon in the systray area when I'm in desktop mode.
Is there a way I can have the keyboard icon visible/accessible from within tablet mode??
I have the problem, that Windows 10 is really annoying when it comes to balloon tips when you are in tablet mode. Every few touches, Windows shows non relevant tooltips when you touche the screen, mostly from the start menu. I already have tried to do this:

For example everytime I swype to the right to show setting tile and then back into the screen, start menu shows an annoying "show hidden symbols" tooltip.
Is it possible to have the apps pane (burger menu top left corner) remain open when viewing the start screen I find this screen extremely dull compared to 8.1, I think the lack of colour has a big impact.

I run W10, the official release, on a Surface Pro 3 with a keyboard cover. Up to now, when I detach the keyboard I get asked if I want to switch to tablet mode, and when I attach the keyboard desktop mode has been automatically restored. I really like how W10 separates the two modes, instead off like W8/8.1 trying to be in both modes simultaneously.
But suddenly this does not happen. When the keyboard is detached, I do not get any question about enabling tablet mode and the Surface stays in desktop mode. If I manually switch to tablet mode, when I attach the keyboard the machine stays in tablet mode until manually disable it.
I have not changed any settings related to this, not deliberately at least.
I have looked at the tutorial on tablet mode in this forum, but it says nothing about automatic switching. I have checked the available settings but cannot see that there is any setting determining automatic mode switch, other than the "Always/never ask me before switching" (which is set to always).
I need Windows 10 to boot directly to a program. Whatever I try .vbs, .bat or just shortcut in Startup folder, it always starts minimized to task bar. When I click on the task bar it gets blown up full screen.
Once I turn off the Tablet mode it starts good, maximized.
How can I solve this so it boot in Tablet mode AND start the program in proper size?
NOTE: I use touch screen but I dont think it maters.
I have a Surface Pro 3, updated for Windows 10.
I have been switching in and out of tablet mode, and I find myself at a point where now my task bar are not working.
For example, when I click on the "Action Center" nothing pops up, or when I click on the WiFi icon, or Volume icon. My start button on my screen, and the physical one on the tablet itself are not working either.
I am trying to get off of tablet mode, but I can't access the Action Center do be able to get off of it.
Surface Pro (original 128GB model). Upgraded from 8.1 to 10. All that went well. I turned off a number of tracking items, wifi sense, and left Cortana off.
I am running into a couple of problems(?) and they may be related. I have my tablet set to go into sleep mode when I close the keyboard cover - original MS keyboard that I bought with the Surface. Even in sleep mode, my tablet gets and remains hot or overly warm to the touch.
I also noticed that it seems to be "eating" a lot of upload wifi band width (according to my TWC tool). I have 200/20 for wireless and the Surface is holding /using 5+ upload consistently. I have cycled it on/off and other than Windows 10 I only have MSO 2010, iTunes, Amazon Cloud Player, Kindle, Chrome, Google Drive and Dropbox installed.
A few weeks back on my Surface Pro 3, I was able to view my desktop and have the tablet style on screen keyboard popup in text fields. Now if I'm in desktop mode, windows does not load the tablet style on screen keyboard when touching an input box and the keyboard icon is gone from the systray. If I'm in tablet mode, the keyboard works like it should, but I'm not able to click on a show desktop icon somewhere. Is there a way to be able to see my desktop *and* use the tablet style keyboard that auto-pops up?
Also in chrome, I am unable to click anything except the X button to close it. So far I'm regretting my upgrade to windows 10!
For some reason or other, my laptop worked fine wirelessly and suddenly it went into airplane mode. When I go to the airplane mode switch and try to turn it off, it won't turn off but reverts back to "on".
View 10 RepliesI have a desktop computer with built in WiFi and Bluetooth. I have installed the latest drivers from the MFG website (ASUS ROG Maximus VII Formula). The problem is that Airplane mode will not disable. When you click on it, it shows that you clicked on it, but immediately resets to "On" no matter what.
You will also notice that WiFi and Bluetooth are missing from the control panel.
I have made sure both devices are enabled at the BIOS level, however, due to Airplane mode being forced on, they do not even show up in the device manager (even under "show hidden").
I do not thing this is a BIOS/Driver issue; this appears to be a bug.
At least for me anyway mail app now shows live messages on the tile and under options one can turn off conversation mode.
View 6 RepliesI own an "HP 15-f010dx Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)." I recently upgraded my computer from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Ever since then when my computer goes to sleep mode I cannot turn it back on I as was able to do with Windows 8 by clicking or using the touch-pad. I know the computer is on because the light for the Internet on the keyboard is on, but it never gets out of sleep mode. I've tried changing the power settings, but to no use. The only way I can turn the computer back on is by holding the power button for about 10 seconds, shutting down the computer, then pressing it again to turn it back on. It's really annoying when all my apps get shut off and I have to open them all again because of this.
