i cannot connect to PPPoE connection through my modem. when i give username and password provide by ISP, it says cannot connect user nameor password is wrong, but i given correct username and password.
I did my upgrade quite shortly ago.Basically before that upgrade I had 2 connections at the same time: Local Area Connection with Ethernet and my PPPOE connection as advised by my provider.I've been using my PPPOE connection for years to sidestep some connection issues especially with uPnP, but now my internet only works through Ethernet and when I also start in my dial-up section the PPPOE connection, Windows 10 reports the "no internet connection" problem. After using "Troubleshoot problems" it resets the required parts and reports solving "Gateway is not available" problem.
1)I've already tried to reinstall all network drivers by deleting them first with device manager and through netcfg d in command line. 2)I don't know if it works but my BitDefender reports new adapters upon starting PPPOE: Teredo Tunneling and 6to4 3)I already tried to set Local Area Connection to Home and my other connection to Public and also all other possible permutations of settings
I've got a big problem win my Win10. Every time i install 10 it has no internet connection, it shows that none connections are available and tells "Modem has reported an error (error 651). Everything is working well on Win7. I tried many things to fix it but nothing seems to work.
My network card is Qualcomm Atheros AR8171, and modem is some TPLink
Yesterday I relocated our Wireless Modem to a cooler room. We live in the Philippines so these devices can get quite warm...After relocating and hooking up all the wires, cables etc. My wife's computer a Dell, would not connect to the Wireless modem. I checked and replaced all wires with new ones, and rechecked the connections, everything was okay...I use a MAC which is still working fine, and connected right away, so I know the Signal is getting out. I did the "ping" command and it is not going thru. Tried everything I know, cannot get her wireless to work. I have a Red X on her adapter, in the Network Connections dialog box, "Not Connected"...Her system uses a Broadcom 802.11n adapter, which I replaced just recently...When I registered I added all the Dell system info, CPU info etc..
Can't connect to broadband connection. The Modem (or other connecting devices) has reported an error
While I troubleshooted in network and sharing center I got "There might be a problem with the driver for the Ethernet adapter" And "There might be a problem with the driver for the wi-fi adaptor". I am using Windows 10 ....
I have a odd bug which is causing some of Windows 10's Features to not work. I am using an Ethernet cord, I can still connect but in the bottom it's showing Limited connection and when I click on it, It's showing No Internet and nothing is popping up.
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10. I am having a problem with all of the web browsers installed on my system (except the one built in to Steam). My conncetion is perfectly fine, but I cannot connect to Facebook or Google on Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer or Firefox, and can't connect to Reddit on Firefox only. I tried pinging each of these websites on my command prompt and recieved responses each time. These seem to be the only websites affected by the problem. The web browser built in to Steam seems uneffected by this problem.
Woke up this morning to find that on my desktop the Store keeps saying "Check Your Connection" and prompting me to reload the page. Meanwhile, Cortana can't pull up interests. It's not an actual connectivity issue, since web+email+everything else works just fine (I'm posting from the same computer now). Tried the obvious things, plus a sfc /scannow with no luck. BTW, I'm not using Insider builds, but I tried to move to it just to see if a new build would fix my PC and it says "Something went wrong, we don't know what." Perhaps that issue is connected as well. It's odd, because nothing has changed recently.
I've bought a Huawei E3372h modem (with GTmobile simcard) but it doesn't connect. The modem says 'connected' and does recieve/sent KB's but on the window toolbar network logo says 'no internet connection' (yellow triangle mark).
I am using a Lenovo think Centre M57 pc, I installed the new Windows 10 operating system and like it very much, however my Huawei E352 Modem is not working on this operating system but it works perfectly in Windows 7. In Windows 10 it is being picked up as a Memory Stick but not a modem and therefore I can not connect either to the internet. I presume it must be a driver of some sort? If so, where can i download this driver that is needed?
I'm sure there's enough variables that this could be some combo of software and stuff I have (I never use OneDrive - close it? I use Dashlane - it had Win10 issues, later resolved.) -- but does anyone walk away from their PC, come back and find online (cable modem/Ethernet in my case) - just stops working, in everything? Evernote, Firefox, Outlook, etc.?) Programs are fine (well, Outlook freezes in mid send/receive but...) but the online access is gone? And the only fix usually is a reboot?
Never happened in Win 8.1. Happens about once a day in Win10. Reboot fixes. Network troubleshooter finds nothing. If it didn't come back after reboot I'd be desperate, as it is ... I can live with it if I have to but... was hoping one of these "cumulative updates" would work but... doesn't seem to happen when I'm working, only if I stop a bit. Got a clue that doesn't involve powershell "fun" or registry/deep file mucking?
I upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1, ever since then, my Huawei 173 stopped working. The led light flashes, yet the network signal is not showing, the display hangs and several other issue.
I am having a big problem with my internet connection going down since I upgraded to Windows 10. It went down 4 times in the last hour and having to reboot to get it back is not the solution. Device Manager shows I have a Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet adapter. I have tried using the software update link for the adapter and it says I have the latest software but I am not sure if that is correct and I don't have a clue what driver I would need to update the adapter. When my internet connection goes down my WIFI connection is fine and I can connect to the internet with my mobile devices. My current driver according to device manager is 15.6.1.2
So today I've successfully Updates my PC running win7 to win10 TP and so far its working fine there's no issue except I can't connect to internet using my 3g Dongle or via any USB stick (providing internet).. I don't know if its Driver problem or something else .
I am on windows 10, tried to map my NAS using map network drive but says "Windows cannot access Nas102 check spelling or might be problem with your network. Next, I tried to map a specific folder inside Nas102 and it worked! For example Nas102Music I also tried to make a fake folder name and map that for example, Nas102FakeFolder and the error said check spelling of "fakefolder" Nas102 was detected but not the fakefolder. trying to connect to the whole NAS instead of just mapping individual folders inside of the NAS.
Computer: HP Elite 8000 C2D E8400 Win 10 64 Bit 4GB RAM .Windows 10 upgrade from Win7 installed. Have installed Office 10 and Chrome. Microsoft edge default browser.
Problem: When I click the "Search the web and Windows " box I get "We can't connect to web search right now but you can still search your stuff. Make sure you are currently connected to the internet."
I am connected to the internet and if I type a "web question" into the box it opens Edge and give me the answer. Edge stopped working so I reset it with "Reset_Microsoft_Edge" from this forum, now it is working again, but I have this new problem.
After updating to Windows 10 I cannot sign in to a Microsoft account, look at the Store or do anything that requires connection. I initially thought it was something wrong with my connection to the WiFi but my browser can connect and download from the internet fine and I am writing this on the same laptop.
I recently updated from Windows 7 to windows 10 and now i can't connect to the internet. Someone suggested i update my network adapter driver but i can't do that without an internet connection
