View 1 Repliesour boss here has a Surface Pro 4 and mentioned his Pinch and Zoom on the touch screen isn't working any longer. He used to be able to open an Outlook message and he could pinch and zoom successfully using the touch screen. I know sometimes you actually do pinch and zoom on the touch pad. Is this even possible? The setting on the touch pad control panel is enabled and we are able to pinch and zoom on the pad but only in a browser, not within Outlook.

I am getting really annoyed! in Mouse and touchpad settings I don't want pinch and zoom enabled! So I disable it only to find out when I restart the computer, it has enabled itself again. I hate it as I keep resizing my desktop icons because of pinch and zoom.
I saved a profile for my Mouse and Touchpad settings. But it still loads the default settings, that has pinch and zoom enabled. I have to Manually load my settings.
Who's bright idea was it to make the scrollwheel go to the next picture instead of zoom in, in the pictures program. It's awesome that the default picture program plays GIF now, but for regular pictures I liked the scrollwheel zoom. Is there anyway to get this back or am I SOL?

View 1 RepliesHow come I can't set the zoom 100% in edge browser ..
View 2 RepliesI can be typing a message and all of a sudden the size will start changing from 100% to 125% and sometimes all the way up to 175% before it stops. It does flip back and forth at times. It does all this on it's own without even a thought of increasing or decreasing on my part. It has gone down on it's own to a size that is impossible to see let alone read. This is very irritating for me as it happens randomly and often. There does not seem to be any way to set it and save it as we have always had the option to do that before. I am using Windows 10 Home on a brand new HP. AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics. 2.20 GHZ 8.00 GB RAM 64-bit OS, x64-based processor. I don't know any other specifics about the system. Like I said this happens randomly and very often. It just now happened. Went from 100% down to 55% while I was typing and not trying to change the display zoom size at all. There are no files I can upload to show this....
View 1 RepliesOk so I'm not sure when it happened but I was still on windows 8.1 at the time. I'm now on Windows 10 and I can still not zoom with the touchpad on my Laptop
Now its not the end of the world as if I use a mouse I am still able to zoom. but this has been bugging me and I have looked online and cant find anything.
I have opened mouse properties and then gone onto device setting and clicked setting and there is no option for zooming where is should be.
I have Synaptics TouchPad V8.1 on PS/2Port.
I think this is the latest version. I cant seem to find anything else.
I'm aware that semantic zoom on the start menu has not been carried over from Windows 8.x, but I'm having an issue where if I attempt to pinch to zoom on the start menu it becomes unresponsive to where I generally need to do a reset.
View 2 RepliesNot sure if last windows10 update did it but Crome zooms all the time. What a pain resetting all the time.
View 2 RepliesDefault web page zoom in the Edge browser suddenly became 250% instead of 200% which was perfectly fine for my Surface pro 3. All web pages look overzoomed now, can't use browser normally this way, so every time I follow a link or open a site I have to go to the menu and change the zoom back to 200%. And I didn't find a setting anywhere to set the default zoom of the browser.
IE displays page with 200% zoom still (which is my Windows display scaling) and works fine.
I have a feeling that that change happened after the last system update.
I activated the ctrl alt disable login screen for Windows 10 by using this registry key from this forum.(Lock Screen - Enable or Disable in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums).
I downloaded and installed the key to disable only to find it didn't work so I tried to manually do it by changing the number from 0 to 1 only to find its already at 1.
I also tried going the user passwords2 to find the box to disable ctrl alt disable login is already ticked, but is greyed out meaning I can't untick the box.
They changed mouse scroll to scroll next/previous instead of zoom. I use a Logitech mouse with Setpoint installed and because of Setpoint smooth scroll, it scrolls through several photos on one scroll. Turning smooth scroll off, it doesn't always scroll next when the mousewheel "clicks". Another thing with my Logitech mouse is that I can't use the forward/backward buttons. They function as left click. Double click any and it zooms in. I can't change Setpoint settings per app because Photos isn't really a typical exe app like Notepad.
The last thing is that it seems to sharpen the photos even when I turned auto adjustments off. Compare Photos to Firefox and even Windows Photo Gallery and you'll see.So far, Windows Photo Gallery seems like a good alternative, except it doesn't play gifs (unless you click next frame really fast).
Every time I start up or wake up my laptop it asks me to enter my pin number, my husband also has a dell laptop running windows 10 but his does not need any pin to enable using it, how can I disable requirement for pin.
View 2 RepliesI just replace my old keyboard. The problem with the new keyboard is I need to press the FN button + the function key (like volume up and down) before the function key will work. On my old keyboard the functions could be performed by only pressing the function key. There was no need to also press FN.
Is there a way to disable the FN key so I can go back to one button function key operations?
I am trying to disable OneDrive & every time I type in "gpedit.msc" I get a message that Windows can't find it. Surely there has to be a way to disable it isn't there.
View 7 RepliesI tried Windows 10, but I would like to stay with Windows 8.1 until some crucial issues have been taken care of.
The issue is that I get a Windows 10 update pop up every time I start my tablet.
I do have automatic Windows update enabled; and would like to keep it on since I do want to receive other windows 8.1 updates.

View 9 RepliesI just upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 and I am disappointed to see that some of my programs are now blurry. I had encountered this problem before when I installed Windows 8.1, but somehow I was able to fix it.
I can remove the blurriness from individual programs by manually disabling dpi scaling on each program, but I would like to do this system wide.
When I try to edit the display settings through the control panel, the changes I make result in everything on the screen being too small for me to read. I can't seem to get everything right how it was when I was running Windows 8.1.
I recently bought a convertible laptop-tablet. I noticed that there are some gestures implemented in W10. I want to disable one of the, when you swipe from the left in the screen and the task view comes up.
