Is there a way to run Win10 without any user account, a completely open computer? There seems to be no way to complete an install of windows without a phone number or e-mail account. Isn't there a way to run a computer with Win10 that doesn't require any user, a "public" computer.

I found my computer updating itself, and it said I would be excited about the new updates. Well now when I click my calculator it says that it cannot be used in my Administrator Account and it asks me to sign in again with another Account. It was working before in my Administrator Account, why not now?
To say the least, I am NOT excited about this at all. Is there anything that I can do to get it working again? I tried right clicking it to see if I could open it with my Administrator, but nothing was there for me to do that with.

Since Friday, Windows Store isn't launching at all with my main account, and it appears in the Start Menu faulty (@{Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015....). It worked a few days before it though. I've searched for solutions, but it appears that it won't work with this account anymore.
I created a new profile, so I can purchase Rise of the Tomb Raider discounted. It works perfectly with the new account, however, I only need/want to use my primary acc, but I can't launch the game from its WindowsApps folder, receiving "Access denied!" message. Is there any way I can play the game with my main Win10 account, or any chance to merge my main acc with the new one? Or can I only do it by copying the old Users folder to the new one, and set everything up again? I bought the game with the same Microsoft account I'm using my main profile with.

I am using Word 2013 on my laptop. Windows 8 was operating system. Recently upgraded to Windows 10. When I save Word documents now, they are saved as Wordpad documents. (.xml files) Wordpad does not recommend some of the Word formatting and alters the documents.
How do I correct this? I want the save as Word documents, as I did in the past.

I've trying out the new preview, 10240. Everything works fine except for the default documents folder (and the same for Images). As my screenshots reveal, by default the documents and images folder are the ones with OneDrive. (My system is in Spanish, but it seems self-explanatory, I believe)
After some examination, I located the "Storage" section in the new settings window and I see that the default folder for Documents is OneDrive. However, after I set to "This PC (Drive C)" it doesn't do anything, as as soon as I close the window, the option reverts back to OneDrive.
I actually like and use OneDrive, and I had no problems with it with Win8.1. So I don't want to disable it.

When I was running Windows 8.1 I had moved my Public folders from C drive to D Drive (My C drive is an SSD and want to keep it for OS not Data) - After upgrading to Windows 10, Public folders have reverted back to C drive. I can see an option to move them if I right click the folder in File Manager, but event though the path text box is enabled (i.e. I can select the text) I cannot edit it. I have tried running file manager in administrator mode but it makes no difference

I am trying to boot my laptop that will not boot windows 7 due to some kind of corruption.
Ive downloaded the ISO of windows 10 and manged to install it onto another laptop using a USB but not with personal files kept.
When I select the option to install windows 10 but to "keep all personal files and settings" it brings up a message:
Compatibility report
The computer started using the Windows installation media. Remove the installation media and restart your computer so that windows starts normally. Then, Insert the installation media and restart the upgrade.
My question is how can I do the above when I need to select the option to boot from USB whilst my computer is booting?

Have HP Pavilion Dv5 running windows 10, I purchased a new HP Envy with Win 10 installed.I want to give DV5 to my step-daughter with Win 10 on it, and remove me from laptop and Win 10 completely. I have files stored on flash drives and OneDrive and have a Microsoft Account.
If I do a total reboot of Win 10 and have her as Administrator and get a Microsoft account, that should work? My Microsoft Account and OneDrive will be able to link with new Envy laptop and with installed Win 10?

First I wanted to boot into Safe mode, but couldn't do that because the keyboard was not working in BIOS. To solve that I just removed the battery and left it out for around 10/15 minutes so that any residual power would be dissipated.
Once I managed to get into Safe mode I made some changes to my user account and added myself to the Aminstrators group. Then rebooted back into normal mode , where I could make changes and click on the YES button.
Finally onto the network problem of being stuck on a Public network. Now that I could open the properties box of the ethernet adapter , I saw that the 'Obtain the following IP address option was selected, but there was no IP address there. Once I changed that to 'Select automatically' solved the Public network problem as it was change back to Private Network automatically.

I wanna upgrade my Windows 7 PC directly using the Media Creation Tool, keeping the personal files only. Is it possible to specify which folders to keep?
At minimum, I would like to remove the 'AppData' folder to remove old cache and program files, but I'm still not sure if this is a good idea. The only folder I want to keep intact is my very large 'Dropbox' folder.
I considered choosing the "Nothing" option, except I don't want to re-download my entire Dropbox and put unnecessary stress on this 7yr old hard drive.

In Windows 7/8 there was a setting, a small checkbox "Treat all future networks as public and don't ask me again".
You can see it in this picture - [URL] .....
In my version of Windows 10, I don't appear to have that option. I could try deleting this registry key ...
HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetControlNetworkNetworkLocationWizard
Delete the key: HideWizard
Perhaps there's a simpler way than export, delete key, if wrong result import saved registry file. Have I missed a setting somewhere to set the network location?

Is there a way I can change all connected networks to private instead of public with a click-able script? The problem was that a User was connected to an open network using a VPN which then also connected showing Public. With both as Public, they could not map to a network resource. I fixed it using the "go to home-groups and change network settings, etc." But surely there is a way it could be handled with a simple script to edit same? End result was the VPN showed private while the open WiFi he connected to still showed public but he could access the server now.

In Windows 8.1 there was an option to delete personal info from live tiles, this was also possible on previous Windows 10 builds but I can't find it. This was useful for when inevitably something breaks on the start screen and we could 'refresh' all the tiles. My Mail App is stuck showing 1 unread message because I reimaged back but backed up with that 1 message unread.

My friend has been using AutoCAD on fairly new Windows 10 install. No problems till today when he got an error stating he needed to reinstall the OS. I didn't see the error before he shut down. To be safe he pulled his hard drive and asked me to backup his personal files using a USB enclosure, before reinstalling OS.No problem right? I've done this for other people many times in older OSs, but this is the first time I've seen Windows 10 file structure. I plugged in the drive and found that I can't access files in the OS partition. I can't crack it. Basically, it can't get the rights to see files there. I actually plugged the enclosure into an old XP computer I had laying around and was able to see some folders and files, but no personal files. where his files are located on the drive and how I can access them?
