Jan 12, 2016I hooked up my computer to my TV with my VGA cable. After a few seconds, the screen glitched and it was later stuck on the left.

View 1 RepliesAll my desktop icons are stuck on the left side of the desktopAll file explorer view are stuck in details view. Now yes, I have turned off Auto-arrange, still refreshes to all icons on left. I have tired ALL sorts combinations of view + sort by... nothing. I have tired many anti-malware/virus scans and nothing has come up. I have tired CCleaner pretty much everything and the problem persists.
Of note, I had done a system restore a week and half ago to a specific point and that fixed the problem but for just a day, then it happened again. When I got around to having time to go for another system restore, that restore point was gone and now no other restore point is fixing the issue -_-That left me to think it might be something I installed or perhaps a windows update... but after having uninstalled pretty much everything I could that I installed in the last week as well as removing recent updates.... nothing. I have also tried making a new windows account (local)... nothing. Also tried in safe mode, still nothing.
I currently have Windows 10 and recently I've encountered some random screen noise appearing when I turn on or return from sleep mode on my computer. This does not happen every time, but It only happens every 3 days to a week. I cannot get this to repeat as this happening is random.I can only get rid of this when I force a shutdown through holding down the power button and then restarting.
I am using Nvidia driver 355.98.
Noise After some time the noise disappears and then I'm left with a black screen.
So today I tried to update to windows 10 from windows 7 through the "get windows 10" app on my desktop. Everything went well until reboots started. When my computer attempted to reboot it stuck at start up screen where you are supposed to either go to boot menu by pressing f12 or let your system boot like it should.
View 1 RepliesWhenever I on my computer after I wake up or come back from work, my windows sometimes do not boot up fully. it will load and then gets stuck on an empty orange screen (might be related to the fact that I have orange set as my colour theme for my windows 10). I will then hold on to the power button on my computer to force a shutdown. Right after that, I will power on again and the computer starts up fine.
This has been occurring for a while - I didn't have this issue when I first installed (upgraded from windows 8) windows 10.
I tried googling my issue, and I have turned off Fast Start-up under power options but it did not solve the problem.
So im on windows 10 all is well except whenever i hit the Volume up and down button on my keyboard it appears on the left corner and i simply can't move it can i disable it from showing completely or move it by any chance ?
View 1 RepliesSo, recently I left my computer on overnight to download something, I did this multiple times before with windows 7, and everything went smooth. This time I woke up and my computer was turned off, but I live alone, so nobody could have turned it off. I turned it on again to finish the download and went on doing something else. After that, my computer turned off again. I already went into the settings and sleep is not on, and the screen also doesn't turn off. I also went into advanced settings, and I still can't find anything to be causing it.
View 1 RepliesRig only a few weeks old and I noticed for the second time now when my computer is left alone for awhile it acts like it's in sleep mode but mouse and keyboard don't seem to be waking it. I fixed it last time by just restarting computer...
View 1 RepliesI have multiple small scroll bars on my screen whenever I am done scrolling on a page. If I hover over the scroll bars with the mouse, the 'busy' windows thingy spins around. All my drivers say they are up to date. Picture attached.

After upgrade from windows 7 everything works properly. After o while it was not possible to open the START MENY by left click the windows 10 icon in the lower left corner. Right click works ok. What is the reason to that?
View 1 RepliesThe Start button in lower-left corner of screen/desktop is not responding to left click. Is there something an amateur can do?
View 4 RepliesI enabled tray balloon on my Windows 10 but it is showing up on the top left corner of the screen. How do I fix that?
View 4 RepliesI left-click on the windows icon, but nothing happens. Right-click, though, gives a pop-up list. How to restore the left-click behaviour?
View 13 RepliesRecently I have wired to screens up as dual screens, they were working fine at day 1 but after the left screen (main monitor) has started turning itself off completely.
As soon as I boot, the screen goes black and I am greeted with the screen startup logo, then "no signal detected" Windows will only pick up the one screen (right monitor) until I restart the screen from the plug. My main monitor is connected via HDMI from the GPU into the screen, and the other DVI to HDMI adapter, again from the GPU, The weird thing is no matter what I try, it will always be the left screen, I have tried:
Swapping the screen over with another
Changing plug sockets,
System Refresh
Swapping screen power supplies
installing drivers
swapping HDMI cables
I can only assume it's something to do with Windows, but what is it?
I just updated my display driver to the latest from Nvidia. Now the left half of the display is darker than the right half. I tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling, but the problem remains.
The driver is Nvidia 355.60 WHQL , and yes my display card in on the list of supported cards. This is the driver for Windows 10 64 bit and my Nvidia GTS 450.
I have never seen this issue before and I don't know if it is Windows 10 or the Nvidia driver causing the problem.
I have an HP Envy that I just updated to Windows 10. Now my cursor keeps jumping to the upper left corner of my screen. I have tried using different USB mice and a different browser, but the problem exists all the time.
View 1 RepliesI upgraded to Win 10 on Friday, and since, despite several resetting PC attempts, Win 10 will not load to the login screen. Instead, it is stuck on a loop flashing between the lock screen and a gray loading screen quickly back to the lock screen -- instead of loading to the login screen. This only happens when I attempt to restart or update my PC. If I go to the lock screen because I locked my PC or it fell asleep, I can unlock it. I have also attempted to reset my PC to the previous build, to no avail. I have no restore points.
View 1 RepliesI have msi laptop Windows 7 now I updated online to Windows 10 and reset. After reset now my laptop screen is blank and dash line blinking on top left side. Nothing working tried lot by pressing f10, f2, ctrl+alt+del...
View 7 RepliesMy Screen is displaying off center to the right just a little. I only found one other mention of this on another forum with no solution. There is a black strip on the left hand side of my screen. The other post was on a MS forum they theorized it had to do with the Intel HD device driver. I did not have this problem with Windows7. Hope the graphic card I have coming will fix this.
View 6 RepliesI just bought a new Lenovo computer with windows 8,
I upgraded to 10 as soon as I got it.
now when I'm trying to open a folder or save a word file or even open a chrome - the computer get stuck.
I cant tell if it's a computer issue or windows,
Downloaded update last night. Installed this morning. "Getting windows ready. Don't turn off computer" has been on screen for 30 mintues
View 1 RepliesI have a HP computer and I installed windows 10 about a month and a half ago. Now I cannot log into my computer because it continues to get stuck on a keyboard layout page. Windows came installed originally on my computer so I have no start up disc or anything. And windows 10 I got from the recent download so no disc for that one either. Is there anything I can do to get the screen to disappear? When i try to click on my keyboard or mouse while it is up neither works.
View 1 RepliesMy windows 7 PC was hard to start and restart and I needed to try 10 times or more before it worked (then I didn't restart it for days).
I managed to upgrade it to Windows 10 hoping that it will cure the problem BUT still it is a problem to start.
I checked everything and used every tool possible on windows 7 and windows 10 but nothing worked. (ccleaner and others failed)
So now I have a windows 10 PC that doesn't want to start easily.
Do you think that the problem can really be a driver ? After upgrade to windows 10 I GUESS that all driver files have been changed ?

I was installing win10 on my pc with media create and got to the screen where it asks you for the keyboard layout. The computer does not respond and the hdd light stops blinking. When I kill the power and reboot, the computer loads properly into windows 7 desktop then says that windows 10 could not be installed and says this:
Error 0xC1900101-0x20017. The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation.
I had to reset my computer. I selected to keep my file have because I didn't have any backups at the time. The reset completed successfully but now windows has been stuck at a please wait screen for the past 24 hours. Here's the link to show you what is happening [URL] ....
