Duplicate The Taskbar To Second Monitor?
Jul 30, 2015Is there a way to duplicate the taskbar to my second monitor? Right now, there are no toolbars, notification icons, search or date/clock.

Dec 29, 2015It worked fine in windows 7 but now when I choose "duplicate display" from the side menu popup the tv goes blank as if Ive unplugged the hdmi. All 3 of the remaining display options work including the extend display and tv only setting so its not a cable issue. Laptop model is XPS 17 L702X. Now when I used to do it in win 7 sometimes it wouldnt autodetect it so I would have to right click desktop, open invidia up and click rigorous display detect or something like that and then laptop screen would blink and make the beep noise like when hdmi cable got connected. Now in the invida panel it just simply wont allow mirroring, nothing happens when I right click on the display box that would normally show 1 and a smaller box would say 2. I dont get it but Id really like that feature back If its something simple I could do.

Oct 6, 2015After upgrading to Windows 10, the "extend displays" function is not functioning well on my PC (ASUS monitors; ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO display adapter). I have tried disconnecting & reconnecting and have tinkered with most related settings I am aware off, but all in vain.
I found a crude workaround accidentally. I restart my PC from the log in screen until the dual monitors start in the extended view (how this works!). It usually takes about two to three restarts.
Duplicate Icon In Taskbar?
Aug 3, 2015One of my pinned items on the taskbar (MusicBee) refuses to act properly. It always shows two instances of the icon when the program is open.
I tried unpinning the items, opening the program from it's folder and then right-click > Pin to taskbar but that creates a duplicate icon as well.
I also checked C:UsersMYNAMEAppDataRoamingMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick LaunchUser PinnedTaskBar for duplicate shortcuts but there is only one.

Aug 26, 2015I have the latest version of iTunes pinned to my taskbar and whenever I open iTunes, it creates a new icon next to it.
I have had this problem recently on Windows 7, however I fixed it by pinning the 'open' iTunes icon to the taskbar and unpinning the 'closed' one. I updated to Windows 10 and this was not an issue. HOWEVER, now I've purchased a new computer and the problem is persisting BUT this time on my new computer, it doesn't give me the option to pin the 'open' icon. So in other words, if I pin/unpin one of the open OR closed icons, the command will happen to both icons.

Sep 22, 2015When I pin Office 2016 to my taskbar, then click on it opens a new icon on the taskbar instead of using the one already there.
Also, not sure if this is related. But when I right click on this new icon and go to the "tasks" menu with the "New email message, new appointment, etc" links none of them work. Nothing happens when I click them.
Tried repairing and reinstalling 2016 with no luck.

Jan 27, 2016My taskbar is out of place when I connect the second monitor. I extended the view.
It happens now and then. I think it seems to be working fine until I install the internet download manager. But again it might just be my suspicion.
Once I plug out the second monitor, the taskbar goes back to normal. This issue is the same for the wall paper. When i connect, the wall paper will look ok on the laptop but looks cut away in the second monitor. Same thing goes, once I plug out it will go back to normal.
OPEN Applications On Monitor Start Them From (Using Taskbar)
Oct 23, 2015I use the start menu of the secondary monitor to open an application, that application open on the primary monitor.
Is there a way to get that application to open on the monitor I started it from. (Using the Start Button of that monitor) ?
I don't actually get the point of having an extra start menu taskbar on that second monitor if it actually open the application on the primary one instead of the current one. It defeat the purpose of having a Start button on those secondary monitor. (I means if you gonna open an application on the primary one, I might as well just use the Start button of the primary one!!)
Also i'm having a second issue related to the first one i guess:
Example: I open ChromeFile Explorer or whatever on my secondary monitor and close it. When I try to open a new one on any monitor it would open it at the LAST KNOW LOCATION of where I closed it.
This is very annoying when you use "Virtual Desktop" "Multiple Monitor" If I open an application I expect it to open where I launch it from(Monitor,Virtual Desktop etc).
Taskbar Keeps Moving Back To Primary Monitor

Nov 22, 2015I've been running a multi-monitor setup for a while now, with an ASUS VG248QE 144Hz monitor as my main, and one or more spare monitors as secondary displays. I've set the ASUS monitor to 144Hz without issue in the past, while the other monitors stay at 60Hz.
The other night, Windows wanted to update. I figured it was the usual patch session, so I let it do its thing. However, after restarting my computer, I noticed that my ASUS monitor would only operate at 144Hz if it was the only monitor plugged into the system. When I try to set it higher in the Nvidia control panel, it just reverts back to 60Hz after applying changes. I updated my graphics drivers (though I was only one version behind) and even sought a special ASUS driver for the monitor to resolve the issue, but nothing has worked.
Did Windows recently add a forced refresh rate sync between all monitors recently? If so, that really sucks because I only own one 144Hz monitor.
Graphic Cards :: Changed Monitor Resolution Now Monitor Says Input Not Supported?
Nov 27, 2015I installed Windows 10 and found some apps did not fit the monitor screen (too big). I went in and changed the monitor resolution to a larger size (windows recommended 1920 x 1080) but I tried something larger, and now the monitor has a black screen with a little box moving around which says "input not supported". Not being able to use that monitor to go in and change it back, I hooked up a flat screen t.v. which worked but Windows only showed the current monitor size (which was smaller than the original monitor.
I tried the monitor on another computer I have also running Windows 10 and it worked fine. It shows the resolution as 1920 x 1080. When I plugged it back into the original computer I get the same plack screen with "input not supported" so I can't change it there. I suspect the issue is with the registry somewhere in Windows 10 on the first computer, but what the problem is. I've been working on this for a whole day now. You can probably tell I'm not well versed in computer technology. I just want my old monitor back (Acer K272HL) and I promise I won't mess around with it again.

Feb 10, 2016I recently got a new monitor, an Eizo EV2750, which Windows only recognizes as a generic PnP monitor.
I've tried connecting it thorugh DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI without any luck. The often mentioned sollution, to unlplug everything and wait 10 minutes, does not work either.
The graphics card seems to read the EDID however, as in nVidia control panel it displays correctly as EV2750. Same thing with other applications, like DisplayCAL which I use as my color management system.
Seems like it's only an issue with Windows. This issue, however, also means that I can't get full functionality from the monitor. For instance, the ambient light sensor does not work (which is typical when Windows doesn't recognize the display properly).
Chrome Blurry On Second Monitor After Display Scaling On Main Monitor
Aug 10, 2015So recently I upgraded to windows 10 at the same time I got a 4k display.When I set the display scaling to 150% on my main 4k monitor and ensuring that the scaling stays at 100% on my other two 1080p monitors, the entire chrome application is blurry when viewing on the 1080 monitors, and I cannot seem to fix this. Other applications seem to be okay.
Furthermore after the scaling change, some icons on my 1080 monitor's desktop get larger, as if some scaling is applied to them. Is there any solution to this? At the moment I have had to set the scaling back to 100% on my main monitor in order to use chrome on the smaller monitors.
Laptop Monitor Won't Work - Go To Graphic Setting But It Only See External Monitor

I go to Graphic setting and click on multiple displays, but it states it doesn't see another device only the external monitor. AMD Catalyst version 15.7.1
Main monitor is CrossOver QHD270 via Dual Link DVI
Second display is a Vizio TV via HDMI/DisplayPort
So I was messing around with a 3 display setup for the first time today, one monitor (DVI) and two TVs (one HDMI, one DisplayPort). Everything worked okay, and I could unplug one TV, but when I unplugged the second TV, my monitor went to a black screen. As soon as I plugged the TV back in, the monitor started working again. The main monitor I use every day is now completely dependent on a TV I occasionally use as a second display to be plugged in to function. When I turn on the computer with just the monitor plugged in, I can see the BIOS load up, and the first Windows 10 logo, but as soon as the password screen should be shown, the screen goes black. I tried uninstalling my graphics drivers. When the drivers were completely uninstalled, the monitor functioned normally, but as soon at AMD Catalyst Control Center was reinstalled, it went black until the TV was plugged back in. I've tried plugging the TV up through HDMI and DisplayPort, it makes no difference. Also, my monitor is listed as the main display in both CCC and Windows 10 display settings. Every once in a while when I unplug the TV, the Monitor will get darker and slowly fade to black instead of going straight to black.
USB Duplicate Entry?
Sep 25, 2015hp 15 laptop win 10 I upgraded from win 8.1 to 10 with a usb bootable. Everything went well and is working fine except! If I put a usb stick in with or without data then go to file explorer it shows a double entry for the usb stick. If it contains data it shows up the same in both entries. Is this a win 10 problem or my computer?

Why To Get Duplicate Notifications For Twitter
Aug 15, 2015Experiencing duplicated notifications with certain apps, such as Twitter? I'll get the original popup above the taskbar clock, followed a few seconds later by the same notification. And both are listed in the Action Centre. But in the new Twitter app itself, only the original appears.
I've tried disabling then re-enabling notifications, also uninstalling then reinstalling the app, but the issue remains. Can't find it being reported anywhere.
Cannot Duplicate Displays After Upgrade
Sep 3, 2015I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X + IN2020M_Digital monitor connected via laptop’s HDMI port. Graphics is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I can no longer Duplicate the displays.However, PC Screen Only, Extend, and Second Screen Only will work.In Device Manager I have uninstalled both the IN2020M and the Generic PnP Monitor and restarted. They were added back but no change.I basically confirmed that the monitor is not the problem because I also can't Duplicate the displays when a projector is connected via HDMI.

Sep 10, 2015While on Win 7 I read that it is more secure to create another User account alongside your Admin one, and use that for day-to-day work. Apparently it stops hackers from gaining control of your machine. However, this caused a problem as I have an 256gb SSD system disk and, I think, the duplication has used up too much space, causing problems with programmes like Dropbox.If I delete the 2nd User account will I reclaim some space? If a programme is mounted on both accounts does it take up twice as much space? And, finally, is the security issue still relevant with Win 10?All my data is stored on other hard drives, so that's not a problem.Only the programmes are duplicated.

Sep 24, 2015I'm running Widows 10 on my MacBook via Parallels Desktop. When the W10 login screen appears, I get my user name appear and it logs itself in but is declined. Next, my user name is displayed twice and I click the top one and enter my PIN number and I'm logged in. I would like to delete the second user name display.
