Valid windows 7, sit back and relax message on the install, then blue screen of death and error loop, No support from Microsoft. Off to local computer store to see if they can get this fixed or off of my PC..... way to go Bill - no wonder the upgrade was free.
View 1 RepliesI installed windows 10 and it seems great, except every now and again it restarts out of nowhere. Then it will go into this loop of restarts with this screen I've captured and then restart again. Today the computer was in sleep mode and I started using it for 10 minutes then bam, black screen of death restart loop. It will show these white boxes at the top of the black screen then restart again. I have a photo but I don't see how to upload here.

I installed a copy of windows 8 that I owned and then upgraded it to windows 10. It was working fine for a couple of weeks, and suddenly it had and error and is stuck rebooting itself with a blue screen error.
The error appears to be different every time but the ones I have seen repeated are "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" and "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION".
I can get into the BIOS and that's about it. I can't find a way to boot into safe mode and when I try and install a fresh copy of windows 10 via USB created from microsoft i still get a blue screen error after a couple of seconds.
Usually when I go to work in the morning I leave my desktop PC on. When I returned home last night I was greeted with the Windows 10 blue screen of death with the sad emoticon.
It instructed me to look up the error UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION. I rebooted my computer and googled this error and followed recommendations. This morning, I again left my computer running before I left for work, although on this occasion I ran a number of antivirus and antispyware scans. When I returned home tonight I was again greeted with the same Windows 10 blue screen of death. This time it included the error "critical process died".
I attempted `system restore', however this only gives the previous day restore points when there should be more.
From what i can gather, Windows 10 is deluged with problems and I am considering going back to to Windows 7.
I upgraded from W7 to Win 10, i've had like 8 Blue screens of death since I updated.

Randomly getting a BSOD while gaming, or sometimes at complete random. What this dmp file points too? tried to do some research on the hal.dll driver, no specific luck on what could cause it.

Im running x2 gtx 970 on SLI
i5 4690 on a z97x gaming 3 mobo
8gb ddr3 2133mhz ram.
Now i never got any of this on windows 7, i upgraded whilst keeping files and stuff, and i figured the driver was calling this, now i completely uninstalled nvidia software and all the drivers on device manager, then scanned for them and re-installed windows 10 64bit versions of them on freshly, now it continues to happen, if i have multiple tabs of videos on my pc crashes giving me that message.
I've been using Windows 10 for few weeks now and it's been really good.

Used the PC as I would normally do and shut it down last night. Recently installed the latest update for Win 10 as I recall. Otherwise no new changes or installation to the system.
So now when I switched it on its showing Automatic Startup Repair and it diagnose the PC but fails every time and shows a blue screen of startup repair where I can:-
- reset PC (reinstall but this fails at 36%)
- system restore or image restore ( but can't use either)
- startup repair (doesn't work either)
- command prompt (tried sfc/scannow and they won't allow me to do so unless I restart but keeps getting same error.
Tried unplugging the hard disc etc but same old loop again.
I woke up this morning to a constant boot loop into blue screen that gives me a memory_management blue screen error and restarts then occasionally gives me a driver_corrupted_expool blue screen.
It tries to start up automatic system repair which fails and works very rarely. Once i am in the system repair screen i try the startup repair and it just doesn't do anything and redirects me back to the blue screen boot loop. I had restarted my PC this morning after it was working and then it just randomly started doing this boot loop.
I need fixing my issue with a bootable USB program i can use to fix the drivers or something. I need every other option other than reinstalling windows because i have tons of files i need on here.
On start up I get the computer needs to restart and then goes into the loop of restarting from a blue screen, I can get F2 which is the Bios screen but thats all, I can see reboot on this but do not have anything to reboot with as I upgraded from win 7.
View 4 RepliesLast night I was watching a dvd on my desktop when all of a sudden a blue screen came up with a frowning face and said that "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart, its collecting info and will restart." It happened quickly so I didn't see what the error was but now my PC is stuck in a loop where it restarts and loads into an empty blue screen. It stays on that blue screen for a minute or so and then restarts again. I tried going into my BIOS or starting in safe mode but my PC won't go into them.

I have the same Problem here with my gigabyte z97 hd3 v2 motherboard in my PC. I had this problem one time before, then I tested everything 'literately everything' and I was done with it after a week of testing. I did put everything together and turned it on.... It Worked ! but how ??? I don't know.

just recently i installed windows 10 (clean install) on my built desktop. At first it was fine installing programs etc. Then not sure what i installed last or what happened during an installation but now when i try to install a program like Nivida Graphics Card Driver the blue screen error comes up. It never fails, even if i try and install skype it also causes the problem. I originally had the Nvidia G experience installed but i read online that this might be causing the problem so i uninstalled successfully but it is still happening.
View 1 RepliesIt has happened twice since I installed windows 10 in the last two weeks.
I have the default blue desktop in 10 and I also have a rather old ATI Radeoon HD 4600 graphics card, though the driver date in device manager is January 2015.
Whilst browsing facebook on two occasions the screen has just gone a totally blank blue colour, no error messages or anything like that. I have to hard restart, as task manager won't come up, and windows 10 starts fine again, doesn't go thorugh CHKDSK or anything.
WIndows 7 works perfectly on my other partition so not a hardware or monitor problem just specific to windows 10.

I downloaded the MediaCreationToolx64.exe to upgrade to windows 10 but it failed at 83%. An blue error screen appeared with . I wasn't even able to read the error because my laptop shut down.
So I tried upgrading to windows 10 again but now it requires me to give a product key. I tried to put my windows 7 product key but it does not work.
I m using dell inspiron 14, and upgraded to windows 10. Now my laptop keeps restarting giving me internal power error. I reached the troubleshooting part where I clicked on startup settings.when I click restart there..it restarts with blue screen without giving me safe mode option.
View 2 RepliesSo every day i get this blue screen error 3 times a day, my pc started doing this 2 weeks ago, never did it on windows 8.1 and was fine on 10 for a while. Googled it and says its a cpu voltage error, but i have reset my UEFI to defaults, updated UEFI, updated drivers , and nothing works. My CPU is the intel i7 4790k and the motherboard is an Asrock Z97X killer. The interesting thing is my laptop does the same thing and so does my friends all in one pc, so is this a windows 10 issue? and is there a fix?
View 1 RepliesSo I have read a couple of articles of people with the same issue and they're saying that i should uninstall the graphics card drivers, and reinstall them, and i have done that and I'm still getting the same problem. I can't play any games and it's rough.

I used the media creation tool to upgrade from windows 7 to 10 and this happened upon reboot of the tool .

Since I installed Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion laptop it boots up OK and I can get as far as my desktop. The taskbar settles in nicely and all seems fine.
But if I open any application and work on it for a few minutes the taskbar and everything else suddenly disappears. I generally can't close whatever programme I'm in but if I do manage to then instead of a desktop I have a blank black screen. Moving the cursor around is possible but there is literally nothing to open.
My only option is to ctrl/alt/delete for Task Manager and then shut down or restart. On restart, the same thing happens. It starts, I get to the desktop, everything looks normal, I open something then black-screen-death.
I am not using two screens.
I built my very first PC in the weekend. Everything was working fine, but after a restart, I had an error message saying something along the lines of "Windows couldn't start". I then had several options where I ended up choosing something like "Start Windows from a version that worked" which erased like half of my programs and many of my drivers. I then proceeded to reset the computer entirely and restarted.
Now, the computer is working again (as it were before) and I've installed everything again, including all the drivers (I hope). However, when I restart the computer, I get a blue screen that says: "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll start for you. If you'd like to know more, you can search online later for this error: BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO. It then restarts and works perfectly. This only happens every approx. third restart, the other times, it boots just fine.
I bought Windows 10 Home on a USB which I used to install on my new SSD. All the drivers should be up to date. What to do?

My pc is unable to start-up after attempting to reset it(fresh reset). It is in a restart loop and when I try to turn it on the Windows 10 logo appears but then a blue screen appears saying "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we will restart for you." This then lets the PC restart and this restart process happens again. I have tried pressing F8 while it boots up to try to get it into safe mode but had no luck.
View 1 RepliesI just built a new computer and have been randomly getting this error message from time to time...and sometimes have trouble even getting the computer back to the Desktop without hitting the blue screen again....if I'm on the desktop and it happens it usually says (atikmdag.sys) at the end...sounds like a graphics card issue, however I have the latest drivers for the card (non beta)...when attempting a restart to fix and it hits blue screen right after that bit at the end is not there...here are comp. specs

I have some possible theories: The RAM may be causing issues...Avexir does not use the more common Samsung chips I don't think and has (Intel optimized) all over the packaging...I will try swapping G-Skill RAM from another comp soon to test this
Also I didn't realize at the time but the motherboard has no drivers from MSI past windows 7...could that be causing issues?...
And of course there's that ending on some of the blue screens indicating a graphics car issue...could the latest drivers for Windows 10 on a GPU be creating issues on a board with no Windows 10 drivers?

View 1 RepliesI have been trying to download windows 10 on my laptop (windows 7). It does the download and looks like it is all downloading fine and it starts rebooting and then it goes to a blank blue screen and doesn't go off the screen. I have to turn my laptop off just to do something on it, it then restores my old version of windows and doesn't download windows 10.
I then check the update and it says "failed" with the error details "code 8007002C"
