View 1 RepliesWhen I start up a game or even sometimes Chrome. It will start to flicker and say that its not responding really quick, about a second. Then at some points it will start flickering constantly really fast.
View 1 RepliesI updated my HP Pavilion laptop to Windows 10 last weekend. Ever since then, I've had a problem any time I'm typing. I can't seem to type for more than 5 seconds without a left click happening on its own (sometimes it's a right click, oddly), which usually either opens a menu, moves where in the document/webpage I'm typing, or stops my typing altogether.

I can't seem to type for more than 5 seconds without a left click happening on its own (sometimes it's a right click, oddly), which usually either opens a menu, moves where in the document/webpage I'm typing, or stops my typing altogether.
For example, if I'm on an email website, and click New Mail or Reply and leave my cursor hovering over that button, after about five seconds of my typing, the button is clicked again. If I'm typing in a box (like I'm doing right now), I can keep the cursor hovering over the box and my cursor will click somewhere else in the box suddenly, or if I keep the cursor hovering over the outside of the page it'll click and suddenly I can't type anymore. If the cursor is hovering over something I've already typed, I'm suddenly typing back in that earlier text.
This happens when using both a wireless mouse or the touchpad. I typically have the touchpad turned off so I can use the wireless mouse, but have the same problem with the mouse off and its USB dongle not connected.
I also have a problem when using the touch pad that after I've typed for, again, about five seconds the touch pad is completely unresponsive. That's not as bad a problem, since I normally use the wireless mouse. But I'd like to get that fixed, too.
I am past the "Working on it message". The system told me it was preparing the upgrade but this might take a couple of hours so sit back!! I now have a black screen with a blue window in the middle and the pc has frozen for 90 minutes so far. I have a Dell Studio pc with windows 7 home premium. The pc will not respond to any mouse clicks or keyboard strokes.
View 1 RepliesI have been having this rendering issue for more than 3 months now and it persists after several OS re-installs.
Resolving this problem is of extreme importance to me since many of the programs I rely on are affected. Reverting to an older Windows version is not an option for me.
Affected programs:
Mocha Pro 4.1.3, IDA Pro 6.8, VLC Player & qBitTorrent (all versions)overall countless new and old programs affected
How to reproduce:
I can reproduce it successfully every timeMove the mouse from one sub-menu item that expands (SS1) to another (SS2) for a few times (usually around 10 is enough)It can also happen by interacting with any other UI elements in the program (although takes a few more clicks)
SS1:
SS2:
Facts:
Mouse stops highlighting any buttons or menu items in the whole program - if you hover over anything that's supposed to have a hover action (like these menus) - nothing will happen, as if the mouse isn't thereClicks will also only work in less than 10% of all scenarios'Ghost' menus (only the shadows of the drop-down menus are visible) will as well start appearing from some hover actionsUI of the affected program suddenly becomes very slow, laggy and choppy when the bug is triggeredEvery program effected by the bug will not exit properly no matter what and the process will stay running forever, unless closed via task managerThe only solution is to restart the program
Troubleshooting done:
old versions of the same softwarenew versions of the same softwareall compatibility settingsall possible integrated and dedicated GPU drivers (from both laptop manufacturer websites & official websites)fully disabling Windows animationsre-installing my computer 3 times
My guess (as of 4th of January, 2016):
I think that the hovering effect of the mouse gets 'stuck' in one place (the place where the glitch initially occurs) and it stays there forever, despite the movement of the actual mouse.
Screenshots (just a few of the many problems):
IDA Pro:
Mocha Pro 4.1.3:
Since a few day when I click on the right lower sound volume/mixer, nothing happens anymore, no popup, no right click menu.
View 4 RepliesRight, I've now got Solitaire but I would like to move it to what I think may be called the "Task Bar". I got as far as unlocking the task bar and attempted to drag Solitaire to it but it didn't work.
View 8 RepliesI was exploring Windows 10 tonight for the first time and noticed that in my Application list off the Start Menu it shows that I have Microsoft Solitaire Collection installed and I thought I would give it a try. When I launch the app it displays a splash screen for the app momentarily then the window closes.
I have checked task manager and I don't see the app running so there must be some issue with the way the program is installed so I thought perhaps the best thing to do is to remove it and then reinstall it. I went into Control Panel and checked the Installed applications and could not find an entry for it in the list. I went out to the Store and I can find the app and it tells me that it's currently installed but doesn't seem to provide a means to remove the app or reinstall it. How to fix the app or remove it from Windows 10 so I can reinstall it?
After the last major update to windows 10, Microsoft solitaire collection and windows 10 store will not open. When I click on either one I get a flash screen and then it disappears (both).
View 6 RepliesWindows update not downloading gives the reference 0x800705b4, also Microsoft Solitaire Collection not loading and games in Windows Store not downloading.
View 10 RepliesI'm running Win 10 Build 9860 and I find neither Microsoft Solitaire Collection nor Microsoft Sudoku installed from the Store (xBox versions, I think) will run. They look like they are starting, but then the dots in a circle freeze and the app minimizes. I've installed-uninstalled-reinstalled to no avail.
View 6 RepliesThe last time I used the collection it closed suddenly on me. When I tried to re-open it I pushed all the correct buttons but nothing happened apart from a quick flash of the initial page then it said it was loading but all I then got was the endless dots going around in circles and nothing else. I looked up different support forums for a fix and chose one that said I should uninstall the collection and then re-install. So I went to start/apps/Microsoft solitaire and uninstalled it.
I left it for a day and then coming back to it yesterday I tried to re-install it. Found the relevant page where it said "You own this product and can install it on this device."
clicked install and then got the working dots and then endless dots,
so far the 'working .......' have been running for an hour now and still it goes on.
How long does it take to re-install?
I cannot download sol collection from the store, also the sore will not open from the start menu.
View 7 RepliesAfter upgrading Win 8.1 to Windows 10 with the assurance that it would be a seamless upgrade with no loss of apps, I now find that attempts to open the subject apps only produce a momentary Splash screen. I am of the opinion that these apps have been removed from the Win10 upgrade.
View 1 RepliesWhen a card is selected (clicked on) it used to "highlight" around the card. Since the 1511 Windows 10 update this only happens infrequently. 99% of the time it does not highlight. I've checked all available options in the games, reset to defaults, etc. but nothing fixes it.
View 3 RepliesI loved playing Solitaire in Win 7 but having an unusual problem playing the Solitaire app in Win 10. After about 15 minutes, the computer just shuts down. No warning, no error messages, no BSOD, nothing.
I can guarantee you it is not just a coincidence. My computer could be running for days without any problem but as soon as I start playing Solitaire this happens.
I installed the Microsoft Solitaire Collection but it does not appear in the All Apps listing. I went to reinstall it but it says it is already installed. How can I open it or is there a way to uninstall and reinstall it?
View 6 RepliesMy laptop is a Sony Vaio E series running windows 10, for whatever reason it has stopped loading the Microsoft Solitaire Collection, it gets to the page and the loading will stay there forever. I have experienced many minor problems since upgrading to windows 10, it gives one the feeling windows 10 is still in beta form.
