I downloaded pictures form my digital camera, or at least I was trying to do. Somehow I got form installing my camera driver, recognizing my camera to importing the pictures form my windows 7 migration to Windows 10 and all of my camera pictures. They went to "albums" I lost them for a little while but found them again through notifications in the action center. I closed the display and now I can't find them.
I want to accomplish two things. Find out where my pictures went, then get my pictures moved out of albums, and stored back on the computer where they belong!
How do I put my pictures from Sony camera to Windows 10? It was so easy with Windows 8 as the camera sign came up on my File Explorer and I just copied them to My Pictures! So my pictures are now stuck on my camera!!!!!
When I installed Windows 10 upgrade I was pretty happy about how it ran. However, when I had finished a day of photography I went to download the pictures onto my computer, but Win 10 couldn't recognise Jpeg's or an other graphic extension such as raw.
When I connected my camera to the computer Win 10 did recognize the camera, so it's not a hardware issue.
I've been trying to upload pictures from my camera using the USB lead, however I try the Photos box comes up with some of the pics from the computer and a further box saying "we couldn't find any pictures to import "... I've tried changing AutoPlay to no avail...
After I downloaded windows 10 my built in camera on my computer is like facing the desktop so I can take pictures of whatever I am doing and I wont take a picture of me. I dont see anyway to turn it around.
I now have my Favorites Bar back, but as expected, W10 tossed them in alphabetically. This was never a problem before because I would just drag and drop them where I wanted them again, but the only ones that do that correctly are the ones showing in the Bar itself.....if I try to drag (left or right mouse button) from the additional ones in the dropdown list, they don't move at all.
Also....does W10 no longer have the slide bar that would show up from the right hand side of the screen when you move the mouse to the top or bottom corners of the screen?
Does microsoft assume everyone is a computer wizard? I've finally managed to import my other email addresses into my mail app but no matter how many times I tweak the settings in privacy etc. I keep getting message "not synced yet". How I can resolve this?
Recently updated to Windows 10 and found that Chrome now has a tendency to freeze so thought I'd give Edge a crack of the whip!
I imported all my Favorites but now realize I have far too many collected over the years and half of them are obsolete! Rather than painstakingly pruning them, I want to wipe the whole lot (just from Edge) and then repopulate Favorites manually.
(Also, can you not simply drag and drop from the Address Bar into the Favorites Bar as you can on Chrome?

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Before installing Windows 10, when I plugged in my camera to my PC, I got a dialog box from which I downloaded my pics. Now, nothing appears on the task bar, nor do I get a dialog box. Am at loss what to do next.
When inserting camera disk to computer, Windows 10 will not open. Is there a special driver or update I need to make this work? It worked just fine on Windows 7.
My brother upgraded to win 10 then had great problems with drivers which I am trying to sort out for him but at the moment he has rolled back to win 7. The only problem he has now is that he can't download pictures from his camera either by connecting via usb cable or putting the sd card in a slot on his laptop. We can view them but not copy, paste or download them to the computer. we have re-installed the programme that came with the camera which always worked fine with Win 7 before. All we are getting every time we try to transfer the images no matter what method we use is a pop up saying you do not have permission to do this action. he is logged in as an administrator. I have tried logging in as a user, logging as a different adminstrator but am now running out of options ....
I am trying very hard to learn '10'. So far, I really miss windows 7, but I will keep trying.. for awhile. Ok, so I loaded just one picture from my camera this morning, but when I go to my pictures folder it's not there.. How to get to it?
So, I just finished installing the fall update on my desktop using the media creation tool. I am using a playstation 3 camera for skype and it does not show up when using the "skype video" app. It works in the main skype program with relatively basic controls for the camera, but there are no options in the new app that came with the fall update. I am using the CL-Eye-Driver-5.3.0.0341 for the camera.
I would much rather use the new app as it appears to be a lot lighter of a program than the desktop version of skype is.
It DOES recognize my camera as an external drive, and any thumb drive I plug in...however, it says there are NO FILES on those drives. I import pictures every day, and can no longer do this. Is my only option uninstalling Windows 10 and going back to 8.1?
Why the folder where the photos are is what opens up when I plug in a usb camera and not the photo app. I have autoplay enabled and photo as my default photo viewer.
