I recently update my Windows 8.1 to win10, but when i finished installing windows 10, my internal WiFi wasn't working (the wifi icon has an red X). at first i try enable it with the command prob (netsh interface) and it told me that the "wifi "doesn't existe. i reinstalled it back to windows 8.1 and the wifi rework again! days later i retry windows 10 and i get the same problem again.i have an Acer Aspire 7741, with an atheros AR9271wireless Network adapter.

I have just replaced my WiFi card from (BCM943228HMB) to BCM94352HMB. Before replacing my WiFi card i done the following:
Made computer boot in safe mode with networking.
After that i replaced the card, then booted into windows 10 (safe mode with networking) and checked device manager. Everything was OK (See attached picture). I then tried to turn on WiFi, but it does not turn on.

When I made the decision to move to Win10 I also decided to get a new SSD. So I had Win8 on my HDD and I've been trying to get Win10 on the SSD. I tried cloning the drive however it does not look right and it won’t boot to the cloned drive.
I also tried installing Win8 on the SSD but it said the drive wasn't formatted correctly.

I have recently upgrade to Win 10 from windows 7 and it was running fine until it started booting with the analyzing and repairing windows screen. I had tried to get out of it by windows repair and by system restore but there were no points to restore too. I ended up trying the windows reset which failed when I selected to leave my files so then I tried the reset including removing my files. It failed part way through saying it could not complete the action and now when I boot up every time I get "An operating system wasn't found" etc. I do not have a windows CD or know my windows registration number.

I knew I should've never installed windows 10, but I decided to since it's free and all. When I successfully installed it and tried to connect to wifi, it didn't work. My wifi has small range (so people don't guess the password and use our wifi), but large enough for our whole house. I got right next to my router and it still didn't show up on the Wifi List.

I upgraded from W8 to W10. I have Acer V17. For few weeks, everything seemed to be ok... And then, one week ago, I restarted my computer, and I think I saw some actualisation being installed (I thought I turned them off, but I probably did not...). Since that moment I dont have WIFI. And I mean no WIFI at all - my network center says, there are no WIFI networks to connect to.
But that is not true, because on my phone and other devices, there are WIFI networks. I tried to google the answer and tried few things, but nothing works. In Device manager, my WIFI adapter (Qualcom Atheros) ha yesllow exclamation mark, but when i try to update the drivers, it says, they are up to date... but the exclamation mark is still there, an I have no connection. I am completely hopeless, because I need WIFI for my job. I really hate the moment I decided to upgrade this system.

When I boot up I cannot get connected to my WiFi. The only way to get it to work is to shutdown and boot up again, then all is well.
I never had this problem until Win 10 upgrade.

When I first installed Win 10 it was working great got my wifi connection working and everything now it seems I cannot get connected. I have tried several times, putting it mildly. I put in the Modem/router address and password and then I go to the site that shows you the wifi connections and mine is not there. But there are about 10 or 12 that are there. I have tried this several times like I said. And I have rebooted to see if that did anything and it made no diff.
It seems from some of the reading I have done this might be a problem caused by an update. It worked great for several days. And while I am thinking of it can you delete all those other wi fi addresses some how.

I got my new Wi-Fi adapter today (TL-WDN4200) and in order to access its 5Ghz connecting capabilities, you have to download the updated drivers off the TP-Link website. I did just that. However when I go to device manager, right click my WiFi adapter and update the drivers. This error message appears when I click on the driver file: [URL] ...
I have windows 10 64 bit. Will that be the problem? since TP-Link has not released any official drivers for Windows 10 yet? Will I need to revert back to Windows 8.1 to access the 5Ghz connection?

I got a new Dell this year, which came with Windows 7 (Dell Precision M4800), and it was working perfectly until the Wi-Fi stopped working. After hours of research and troubleshooting and updating, I figured out that the one and only reason my WiFi wasn't working was because my hardware WiFi switch was not working. In other words, even when I switch it into the on position, it still stays off.
With Windows 7, there was a convenient fix: go into my Bios, go into the wireless category, and tell the Bios to ignore the WiFi switch. This fix worked, and I forgot all about the problem until I upgraded to Windows 10. The WiFi stopped working again. So I went through all that hullabaloo of updating things, and nothing worked. So I isolated the problem to the WiFi switch.
I went back into my Bios, and found a disclaimer: For Windows 8 systems, the Bios does not affect wireless capability because they use their own OS drivers. In other words, for Windows 8 and up, I can't use the Bios to ignore my broken hardware switch. Here is my question: aside from replacing my WiFi switch, is there a way to turn wireless capability on in Windows 10? Is there a way to make Windows ignore the hardware switch?
I went through hours of customer support as well, and 40 minutes after I told them my switch was broken, they told me, " It appears to be a hardware issue." I do like a laugh, but I actually need my WiFi, I am temporarily downgrading back to Windows 7 until I can resolve the issue. But I really do like Windows 10, so I'd like to go back to it asap.

Recently I ran to several problems on my windows 10 laptop. My laptop is 4K version of Lenovo Y50. It may have to do something with recent updates, but I am not sure when it occured. So, first problem is, that my start menu is not working. When I press the start button either on my keyboard or in the corner of my screen nothing happens and the same with search bar on my taskbar.
Also, some of the icons on right side of taskbar aren't working and one of them is wifi. I just can't find a way to connect to wifi. When I tried it on locked screen it said "connecting to the network is taking longer than usual" and did nothing. I also can't open the windows 8/10 special settings, it does nothing wherever I try to open it. I am also not home right now and can't connect with ethernet cable which seems to work.

My problem is, that one beautiful day my Lenovo notebook with latest Insider Windows 10 (11102) stop working LAN (yellow triangle) and Wifi (after few minutes of connection gives triangle too). In case of Wifi, I can simply turn it off and on again and it works for few next minutes, but LAN stopped working completely. It says, that in this computer isnt any internet protocol, but in setting both (IPv4&6) are ticked. Lenovo sent me to heaven, because drivers are already included in Win 10, so I cant reinstall it. Uninstall of drivers for LAN and Wifi and automatic new install doesn't work for me.
EDIT: I already tried this, but there isnt any word about driver updates of my LAN and WIFI.

I have installed Windows 10 after having 8.1. I cannot get my printer to work it is a Kodak one wii fii enabled but since installing windows 10 it will not print via wii fii. It has a couple of times printed via the usb cable but more often than not wont print. I wondered if it was anything to do with it picking up which port I am trying to print from. What I can do. Was thinking of getting rid of Windows 10 and going back to 8.1 but dont know how to do it.

I had windows 8.1 and had viber installed. Then i upgraded to windows 10. still viber worked. I had to delete viber app and after reinstalling it, it doesn't work. It says "No connection to activate viber account". But I'm Connected to WIFI and it works with other apps. Is this due to compatible issues or something wrong with the app?

I have an ASUS laptop X751L.
Yesterday the USB ports and wifi stopped working within a couple hours of each other.
When plugging in a USB device the laptop makes an audible signal that it picks it up but nothing happens after that.
I have Windows 10 installed on it.

Product Name: Hp Omen 15
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Wifi card: Intel Wireless-N 7260
since some days my wifi has stopped working. If I click on Wifi icon it shows only ONE (max two) NETWORK:And I live in a building with 20+ networks, as you can see from WiFi Analyzer (I'm the red one on the right). If I deactive/reactive Wifi with fn+f12, it goes to Airplane mode and to Wifi mode again and it eventually shows all the networks/My Wifi is on the top. If it's saved, Windows connects to it and then it drops the connection; if it's not saved and I try to connect, it says "You're not able to connect to this network".The fun fact is that after some seconds every network disappear and only one is showed (probably the neighbour one..I dunno).
I've already tried to HARD-RESET the notebook keeping the power button for 10/15sec with the laptop turned off.I've already tried to follow these instructions [URL] ... updating drivers (Intel 18.12.0.3, 18.12.1.2, 18.30.0.9 [Windows 10 default], 18.32.0 [Lastest drivers]) with no success. Everytime I install a new drivers, I uninstalled the previous one + Wireless software + reboot.
I tried to uncheked "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" on my Wifi hardware settings without success. The HP Network support says I didn't choose a Wifi (Really? The problem is I don't see my Wifi on the list!).This is not related to a new Windows 10 upgrade since I've installed it months ago and It's the first time I've this problem :/ It always worked
I tried different settings too/I changed channel, I set 802.11g on my router, APSD off on the router.I set "Magic packet off, ad hoc QoS off, U-APSD off, fat channel off, incremental throughput off, HT mode off" on the card setting without success. Nothing chaned. The Hardware test doesn't detect any failure. If I go close to the router, it shows my network with full power connection and it connects to it. Then I go back to my bedroom (probably 3/4 meters far), it KEEPS the connection for 30/40min and It drops the connection and I can't reconnect to it anymore. It always worked perfectly in my room in these months (I bought it in March 2015), so the distance is not a problem, I'm 6/7m far from the router. In this case It shows my Network (Connected) and the neighbour network...and the other 20+ networks???
The only way I have is USB tethering with my Nexus 5.I tried the Wifi connection on Elementary Freya (Ubuntu linux based OS) and it shows 20+ networks available on the list. It has not connection problem with my Wifi, but sometimes it stops working, the webpages stop loading and I must reboot Wifi to reconnect to it (usually after 30/40min using it). What's the problem? Is my Wifi card broken?
