Laptop Is Stuck On Rebooting
Dec 31, 2015
I have a Asus Windows 8 laptop and I decided to install Windows 10 two days ago.Today, I was trying to update my Kaspersky internet app on the computer and it told me that I had to reboot so I did. But it started having trouble and I got a blue screen. At first I tried to shut down and opening the laptop again but it happened the same thing. I went to troubleshoot and decided to reset the whole laptop. It was resetting but it shut down because of low battery and I tried to reboot it and ever since its showing the Logo and shutting down and then restarting again not being able to past that screen. I had to force shut down the computer to stop it from doing that but can't turn on the laptop at all.

I have a Lenovo flex 2 laptop that is brand new and used to run windows 8.1 until earlier today.
I opted for the recommended win 10 upgrade, and things went smoothly until it was time to reboot.
The laptop begins to boot, I get to see the Lenovo start screen for a few seconds, and then it turns off before starting over again.
This loop has been going on for 8 hours, as of right now.
All attempts to access the boot menu via the F2, F8, F11, and F12 keys have failed, and the novo key has had no effect.
I am desperate at this point- the laptop is brand new. And now it is next to useless. No actual customer support is available in the country I live in. I just want a way to go back to win8.1.

I upgraded my laptop from windows 7 to windows 10 in August and there were no problems. For a month now, it boots till a black screen with the cursor or to the screen with the five dots. The only solution that I have found to boot normally is after five to six resets it boots normally, but next time it cannot boot again. I performed a system restore to a restore point of a month ago, but it came with an error about a problem of my antivirus program. I unistalled my antivirus and I tried again, but this time there were no restore points.

laptop specs-
Toshiba satellite C55t series
Touch Screen
4gb RAM
500 gb HDD
Intel HD graphics.
WIndows 10 home
I bought my laptop some 2 months ago and reset it a month ago cause of some minor problem. After the reset it was working pretty good and i downloaded games and other stuff. THen yesterday night i realised that after my built in Toshiba service apps had been uninstalled after the reset, so went download and install them from the official site and the suitable versions. I think i download too many of them at the same time and installed, so after 5 minutes it got hung. I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del. After that the screen went black and i hit the power button to shut down. Then after that switched it on and there it said under toshiba logo that automatic repair was taking place and diagonising your pc, and took me directly to that bue Boot Menu. There i tried stuffs like restart, turn off and ultimately came to resetting giving up the rest. When i pressed reset it look good till 36% then after that it said "There was a problem Resetting your PC".
After this i went to this site- [URL].... And did only Method 1 cause for doing method 2 I cant get into my windows.

My laptop was being weird at work one day so I rebooted. I had windows ten for probably two weeks. when it went to boot agian it got stuck on the windows boot animation. My bios options were limited and the only thing i could do was revert to windows seven through some windows ten recovery menu. Once i got back to windows 7 it still didnt boot. I re installed windows seven and then tried to go back to windows ten. Once i got to windows ten it tried to boot but failed. I rebooted it a couple times to see what would happen and it reveerted back to windows seven automatically. Now windows seven won't boot either.

So I found this issue in my second laptop that running W10TP. I have HP as my first, and ASUS as the second one.
In my ASUS (2nd) I can't booting the laptop without force shut down through hold the power button, because it always stuck at Windows logo. After shutdown and boot again, I succeeded into the lock screen. But it taking too long in the blank screen for almost one minute.
This issue never happened in my HP laptop.
I've tried many methods to find this issue, system scan, virus scan, update installed drivers, driver scan (it failed). And for a couple days it work so well and I'm happy for that, no more stuck at booting.
But the issue come again after many security update for build 10240. The booting is stuck again and BSOD with pfn_list_ corrupted. After restart the laptop I've tried again all the methods that I've did. And then I found so many viruses and malwares from Windows Defender. It's odd for me because it is never happened before, and suddenly of course.
After the viruses were cleaned, the issue is still persist. I want to reset my laptop from settings/update& security/recovery/reset. Is this necessary to do considering W10 will come in 3 days left?

URL... and now its been stuck on a screen that says "Installing Windows" at the top with a percentage and circle in the middle and a note at the bottom that it's installing features and drivers. However, it has been doing this for two full days now. It comes back up at 64%, goes to 100%, restarts, then goes through the same thing. I have a Dell laptop and no error messages come up at any time.

I downloaded and installed the Windows 10 upgrade on Tuesday. Since then my Dell Vostro 3550 laptop will not boot and is stuck on a blank blue screen. I took my laptop to Geek Squad at Best Buy yesterday and he told me Windows 10 is installed but it will not boot. He loaded their MRI operating system with my CD/DVD drive and he told me my files are still on my laptop. They wanted $100.00 to get my files of my laptop into a flash drive. The flash drive cost $30-40. In order for them to fix my laptop, I would have to pay $200.00 for a one year service contract. Then, to solve the problem, they would delete all of my programs, and possibly all my files, from my computer. That totals a minimum cost of $340.00 and that is if they do not find anything else wrong. I told them I could not afford that and I took my laptop home.
When I got home, I tried again to boot my computer and I got this message: WDF_VIOLATION. I ran a pre-boot diagnostic and I got error code 2000-01 42. Msg: Hard Drive 0 - self test unsuccessful. Status = 7. I looked online for information on this error code and found people saying that this means the hard drive has gone bad and needs to be replaced. My laptop was absolutely fine before I downloaded Windows 10 on Tuesday. Now my hard drive is destroyed and my laptop will not boot!

I ran the window 10 installation last night on my Lenovo Y50 laptop. Today it is stuck in an endless loop of trying to Preparing Automatic Repair, diagnosing PCs and wanting to restart. I can't get past the limited choice of options to actually do anything useful. I just want to get rid of the thing and go back to Window 8. I am to computer stupid to know how do this. I only recently got the laptop. I don't have a recovery disk.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 on a brand new Lenovo Z50 laptop. It crashes whenever it is not plugged in with the error message THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER ....
I assume there is some driver that I'm forgetting to download that is related to the battery or something?

First things first, here's my pc specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit
CPU: Intel i7 4770 3.40Ghz
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX 770 2GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87M-D3H
PSU: EVGA 600B
So, this week I've started to notice a strange behavior with my system. It started rebooting itself. The thing is I did not 'catch' my PC in the act. One time I was away and let it with the screen locked, the other I was going for some snacks and when I came back the pc had rebooted itself. As I use a SSD drive for the OS, the reboots are so fast that most of the time I only notice when I open Chrome again and theres a warning asking me to restore my tabs. This is a gaming PC as well, but I didnt have any unexpected reboot while gaming. That led me to the hypothesis that the PC rebooted itself while idling for some time.
I was using Windows 8.1 before and upgraded it through Windows Updates. My PC is quite new yet, I've built it on july 2015.I've opened the Event Viewer and there I can see many critical errors at the time of the reboots:There are 6 logs like this, there are diferencies in some information. I've attached a text file cause I didnt want to make this post huge (here's the full log: logs )

My computer, after the Windows 10 update, keeps rebotting after I hibernate. I can't remember if it does this for a regular shutdown. I tend to push the power button to prevent it from booting Windows.
I did go and disable "allow this device to wake" in Device Manager and I don't think I've been using any other peripherals.
One other thing (unrelated): I bought an Oduo bluetooth adaptor but I didn't build my PC with a CD drive. I haven't been able to find drivers and it's unlikely I'll be able to ask a friend to rip an ISO. Am I stuck with this CD I can't use? I don't see a website.

I've been having some issues with my PC suddenly rebooting itself and then turning back on.Sometimes it gets stuck in a sort of loop never quite getting past BIOS during reboots before it finally starts up.It'll then work for x amount of minutes/hours and reboot itself.Temperatures seem fine, no virus as far as BitDefender or Microsoft can tell. I might be playing, watching YouTube or simply browsing and it'll reboot.
I think this started up after my W10 install (it's a clean install) and it seems to be getting steadily worse. You can see today how many times it rebooted. URL...

GPU: MSI 980TI
PSU: OCZ ZT series 750 PSU

When I am playing certain games, my pc will randomly reboot. no BSOD, no warning, nothing. Iv'e done the following to try and discover and troubleshoot the issue ...
-Monitored GPU & CPU temps: stays stable, happens at many different temps, but nothing high, roughly 55C or so
-disabled all overclocks: set my CPU back to normal profile and disabled GPU settings back to default
-Updated video drivers: Currently have 361.75, problem persisted on older version as well
-ran memory test: no errors found
-performed GPU stress test: never rebooted, did this for an hour
The games ive had this happen to are: borderlands 2, Firefall & GTA V (single player)
-I checked my logs and i seem to have a Kernel-power event 41 error happening.
I would like to avoid wiping my system and starting over, this is my last attempt before I go this route.

I have a new computer with windows 10, at the first boot the computer did some things to prepare itself for use, but then I was asked to give my credenitals to account, I used my windows account, but there was some error and I had to reboot. Since then this is what happens: when I boot up there is (probably, cause English is not my native language)
Then I choose my language and click next, after that it asks for a product key, after I confirm that (or skip) and use express settings it goes into "just a moment" than the computer reboot and I am at the begining again.
