under disk management its showing two C drives one with

recently upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10.
upon right click it only showing help.
After installing Win-10 with a Flash Drive, The Flash Drive no longer visible either in My PC Folder or in Disk Management Thought this was a Isolated incident, Apparently not as 2 other flash dives i have have also disappeared, Really strange as 1 of the flash drives is less then 2 weeks old, Tried to find them using CMD & Diskpart but noting visible there either .

Flash Drive 3 8GB - Was a Gift Dont Know Make 2.0
My Motherboard is USB v3.0 (Incase u need this info)
Problem:
I have a 2TB seagate barracuda HDD that is not showing up in:
- disk management
- CMD -> diskpart -> list disk
It does show up in:
- device manager
- bios
- Intel rapid storage technology

I also tried switching out cables and ports. Same results.
There is no drive assigned. I wonder what it refers to? I've checked the registry but can't figure it out. How would I remove it?

View 1 RepliesI have received this message about not enough storage on my OC (C: ). So I searched and made changes to some of my files such as MyDocuments. I changed the location of it to my other disk (D: ). However, after a few days I get that message again so I have searched it up again and merging my extra space from other drive into OS(C: ). Perhaps looking at the image attached would explain my situation better than my English
My OC(C: ) Is only 119 GB and its almost full, yet I have plenty of storage in "Disk 2" as my "Data 2" File is empty.

View 1 RepliesMy Maxtor external hard drive is not showing under This PC, but is under Device Manager. Updating the driver comes back as driver is up to date. Changing Bios setting between UEFI and Legacy do not make a difference. Using a different USB port does not make a difference.
I can get full access to the drive if I boot up LinuxMint from a USB stick.
Microsoft says this is a manufacturers driver problem.
Acer says this is Windows problem.
I have several server drives mapped to my Surface Pro 3 tablet, and from time to time they disappear from Windows Explorer and XYplorer (an Explorer replacement). They are still there and mapped, as Net Use shows them mapped properly. But to get them tho show up in either Explorer or XYplorer, I have to physically remap them (right click: Map Network Drive...) and when I do so they already show up with the proper drive connection but won't appear unless I finish the remapping. XYplorer has a tool to reconnect all network drives, but nothing happens there.
View 5 RepliesYesterday I went from Windows 7 to windows 10 with a clean install.
My system based on an ASUS P9x79Pro motherboard has 4 internal disk drives.
The first two, a 500GB SSD for the system and a 2TB spinning disk, are connected to Intel SATA 6G ports and are fine.
I also have two further 2TB data drives attached to the Marvell SATA 6G ports. It is these that are looking unusual.
After installing windows I installed the Marvell driver from the ASUS website for windows 10. However Device manager does not show Marvell under Storage controllers
Both data drives connected to the Marvel controller appear under eject media as removable drives along with something called "Eject Marvell 91xx config"...
One of the data drives (but not the other) appears in File Explorer as a removable drive.
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, I'm now seeing the 4 card reader drives built into my computer appearing on some of the different desktop folders.
They don't appear on C:UsersusernameDesktop, nor do they show up on the physical desktop screen itself, which also doesn't show the Recycle Bin, Control Panel, etc (ie, it works the same way I had set it up before on 8.1) but they do appear on my taskbar desktop, on the navigation pane, and so forth.
How do I hide these without disabling the drives?
In my device manager my canon printer is listed under Disk drives, USB connection?? Its also listed correctly under printers too. Should I remove it from being listed under disk drives?? or leave it alone?
View 2 RepliesWhen I insert any removable drive (USB, SD cards, etc) the device shows up twice in Explorer. Once under "This PC" tree and the other as a device. See attached pic (USB Drive H):
I remember hearing about this being the way it's designed to work, but frankly it's a bit silly - I only need to see a single entry for the drive/device...
Is there any way to get rid of one of these entries without stuffing up some other Explorer feature?
I've done a reinstall of Windows 10 today. I unplugged my internal storage HDD's to isolate the SSD for the install, wiped the SSD, and reinstalled 10.
Now it's installed, I've plugged my 2 internal HDD's back in, started up Windows, and neither drives are showing. Neither in device manager or in Explorer. What could be the issue here, and how do I resolve it?
My new windows 10 only sees my PC - when searching for my files in Explorer, it cannot 'see' my two external drives when I plug them in. I've looked in Device Manager and they are not showing in there either. How can I tell Win 10 to access my external drives?
I thought Win 10 would automatically spot my external drivers the moment I plugged them in? Then it would go search for and install the appropriate drivers - but it isn't doing that..
My Windows 10 File Explorer is muddled showing many items, and in particular USB Flash Drives twice!

I've just installed a 3TB Toshiba hdwd130 and it's only showing as 1TB?
I've used 2TB disks before, but this is the first 3TB disk I've tried to use.
The disk controller on the MB is an RS880P.
I've checked and the drivers all appear to be the latest.
I started experiencing this after my brother installed some malware on my pc while playing CS GO. I have removed all the malware i could find and have ran memory and disk tests which have shown me nothing but positive results, but when i run furmark the disk usage climbs to 100%. I also have noticed my nothbridge overheating which might be the issue. I also have a shady 600W psu that needs changing because it is old and I don't trust it.

Edit:I found out the reason for my hdd stopping while under load was that one of my 6 pins was a 2molex to 6pin adapter and one of the molex cables was also the one powering my hdd through a sata power cable.So i plugged in a different one and now it's fine.
I have a two laptops with Windows 10 x64. Recently I noticed new partition with next available letter. Size is 128mb and it can't be accessed. I checked in Disk Management but this partition is not listed there as per the below screen:
I used MiniTool Partition Wizard and managed to see details about this partition.
I tried Diskpart to remove Drive Letter but no luck:
This happened at the same time on my two HP laptops but not sure what could cause it. Maybe some Windows update? I do not remember installing any new apps. I would like to remove this disk from the list of available disks.
my cd drive icon was showing and working then stopped showing up. I did as much research as I could and purchased AVG driver updater and it worked for a few days and won't work again.
View 1 RepliesI am using Windows 10 and have run into a situation. I navigate to Settings > System > Notifications & Actions. I am presented with a screen that has an option "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". I am presented with a list of programs and a switch that allows me to run on / off whether or not the icon displays on the taskbar. The issue (minor annoyance really) is I have choices for programs that a) I have removed or b) portable apps that did not need to be installed to run. I would like to remove these programs from this list as they are no longer present. I have attached a screenshot.
View 3 RepliesI installed windows 10 forever ago on my main pc and it ran beautifully I wasn't experiencing problems like other people that i've heard about, but this morning around 8AM my pc decided to crash, was watching hulu on my left monitor and playing a little flash game on my right monitor, windows crashed and the message popped up "memory management failure" also my pc just crashed again while typing this, literatly just crashed as i was typing this. with a different message somthing about "memory securtiy kernal" and ive also got another crash that said "Critical process died" . I'd prefer to keep my data.... and if the memory management is suggested as my RAM, this RAM is less than a year old.
View 1 RepliesI have a configuration where win 10 is installed on SSD but the Users folder is on a dynamic disk on HDD and the linking is made by a hard junction link from C: to D. I have removed paging on D as well as protection. Hence, I am able to remove all volumes of the dynamic disk and convert it back to a basic disk and format it.The problem is that I would like to keep all my installed programs (and settings, preferably). I have copied the Users directory to an external disk and copied them back to D after conversion. This seems to lead to a nonfunctional situation where I cannot even add a new user and most programs (even not all windows tools) do not work.What would be the best approach to avoid reinstalling the programs and to keep existing users?
