View 7 Replies I bought a Dell inspiron I15RV laptop 2 years ago. It had windows 8, i upgraded to windows 8.1. The store was working fine. I was able to download apps and games. But unfortunately, few months ago my store stopped working. I tried almost everything but reset the computer. I did the wsreset.exe, sfc /scannow, restart the pc, etc but those didn't fix the issue. Even when I went to microsoft forums, the webpage does not load properly.
I thought upgrading to Windows 10 home might fix the issue. So I upgraded. But still, the issue is persisting and I'm unable to download apps and games from windows app store. And also the microsoft forum pages don't load properly. I am attaching some screenshots ..... One more thing, I have waited like 3 hours and it is still showing 0.0 mb downloaded in the app store.
I am unable to download *.xap files from store as Microsoft has changed the store layout. Previously. Before the Launch of Windows-phone 10, it worked for me.
View 1 RepliesI can't open the Windows 10 Store on my relatively recent upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It did originally work, but the start menu currently looks like this (tooltip when hovering): I've followed the PowerShell advice at URL....but this didn't work with errors like:
Code:
Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:ProgramFilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsStore_2015.1013.14.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
AppxMetadataAppxBundleManifest.xml'because it does not exist.At H:Downloads
einstall-preinstalledApps
einstall-preinstalledApps.ps1:35 char:2+ Add-AppxPackage -register $PackagePath -DisableDevelopmentMode+
[code]....
After upgrading to Windows 10, everything was fine. But after the Store updated itself, I get this message: "Store can't be opened. An update may be available in Store." How can I update store when I even can not open it??!!
View 2 RepliesSo, I just updated to Windows 10 today, and I'm having some problems.
1) I click on the Windows/Start button on my desktop... and nothing happens. What's up with this and how can I fix it?
2) I can't open the App Store. It will not open from the button on the little tray on the bottom, it just flashes an outline of a window and then it closes itself.
I did a little more exploring, and I somehow got to a Settings app and tried accessing the store from changing one of the default apps on the Default Apps tab. It threw up an error message at me, saying something about how the process was illegal because a registry key was marked or something.
I cant seem to get my Windows store to open. My install is about a day old, and was a clean install. When I click the store icon I get a brief view of it loading and then it disappears.
I've tried going to my app data and deleting the windows store files.
I've gone into command prompt and tried resetting the store and it doesn't work.
Tried WSReset.exe and the store pop up and disappear again.
After the last major update to windows 10, Microsoft solitaire collection and windows 10 store will not open. When I click on either one I get a flash screen and then it disappears (both).
View 6 RepliesWindows store won't open and thus can't get to any games. Sound is all muffled. Can't find toolbars for Microsoft Edge. Lots of issues in Windows 10. Wanted to rollback and got the notice that files needed to rollback were deleted. Great job Microsoft.
View 1 RepliesWhen I try and open my store in windows 10 it will just pop up really quick then go away. And when I try and open any of my apps it tells me that they can't be opened and to go to the App Store to fix but I can't open the app store. I have tried every fix out there that I could find and no luck.
View 1 RepliesI have problem with my laptop. I cant open windows store after install update windows 10 treshold 2.
View 1 RepliesHow to get rid of the "Search the Store" option in the "Open With" context menu as per the pic ....
View 9 RepliesWindows store won't open on my computer and most of my apps won't work. I first tried using this fix but it didn't work:
"Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}"
I also tried refreshing but when I refreshed my computer I got stuck at the keyboard layout screen.
Windows 10 store error code(0x80131509) when trying to open it
View 1 RepliesWindows Store won't launch. I had it open, checked for updates (I have pro and it set to not install them automatically). It found an update for the actual store so I pressed to download. It went through it's thing and then closed the window automatically. I then tried to relaunch it but it just flashes for a mili second and refuses to open. What should I do?
I logged in with my wife's user id and it is launching ok from hers. It's my user id that is creating the problem! Trouble is I cannot start using a new id as everything is setup for mine.
After upgrading Win 8.1 to Windows 10 with the assurance that it would be a seamless upgrade with no loss of apps, I now find that attempts to open the subject apps only produce a momentary Splash screen. I am of the opinion that these apps have been removed from the Win10 upgrade.
View 1 RepliesWhen I open the app store, the splash screen comes up and then just disappears and nothing ever happens.

View 1 RepliesI'm having an issue where I'm unable to download/update any apps from the windows 10 store (on the Minix Z64 mini PC). I have tried everything which has been suggested in various other forums (including Microsoft's). The error code displayed is 0x803f7000
I have tried the following with no success:
- Checking date/time/region (all correct)
- Reset the windows store with WSRESET.EXE (multiple times)
- Ran the windows 10 store troubleshooter app
- Synced the internet time server
In the last 2 months, I upgraded to Win10 Pro from Win7 Pro. It turned off during the first attempt of upgrading, so I turned it back on and it installed. However, once I set up my internet again, Windows Store, when opened, told me an error code (0x8000FFFF). I wrote in a bunch of Run and CMD commands, like wsreset.exe, net stop wuauserv, things like that. I also reset the cache and deleted all of the files in the SystemDistribution folder. Despite that, I still get the same error.
View 6 RepliesUpgraded a few days ago - and everything was flawless.
But yesterday - noticed the Windows Store app won't open anymore. It looks "greyed out" in the start menu - and in the all apps area - shows a bar that won't move that appears like it was supposed to upgrade or something.
Tried a few things saw suggested - like removing the cache folder in the user app data folder and also the powershell command. Looks like the system didn't take a Restore Point.
My windows 10 store doesn't open. When I click it, the blue screen comes up meaning its loading but it closes while loading. I had restarted my laptop and it continues to happen.
View 6 RepliesI am using the mail program with Windows 10. The calendar and mail are working fine but I can't open my contacts.

View 1 RepliesI have recently bought a laptop from PC Specialist. The initial setup went ahead without too much drama, however after having used the laptop for a couple of times since then, I logged in today and find I can't open and use the Mail app. The first thing I noticed was the Mail symbol had disappeared from the Taskbar and I can't find it on the Start menu or under All Programs either. The actual app on the right of the Start menu is showing but does nothing at all when I click on it although it does show headers from the emails in the Inbox. I have also tried to find the program in the Uninstall list but it's not there either.
View 2 RepliesI upgraded from 7 to 10 and went well.Firefox worked well in 7 and for about 2 weeks in 10 but now I can't open it.
