Oct 13, 2015I'm trying to archive my emails through the Win10 built-in mail app, but it doesn't archive, although it says "Archived".
It doesn't archive on the app, nor on the gmail. If I archive the email manually through the website or mobile app, the W10 Mail app shows accordingly.

Sep 23, 2015When I click "archive" in my Gmail account in the Windows 10 mail app, nothing happens. It says "archived" at the bottom of the email list, but other than that I cannot see any action taken. The email in question stays in the message pane and does not vanish. Is there any setting that I am missing where I can tell the Windows 10 mail app what should happen when I click "archive" in the Gmail account?

Gmail does not display any incoming mail. Outlook.com will import them from Gmail, but will not itself display any incoming mail. Have resorted to using AOL.COM address as alternative mail address.
Browser/Email :: Cannot Get Mail App To Work With Gmail Or Hotmail Accounts
Sep 2, 2015Having got all of my standard stuff, including having MS Outlook handle my email accounts, sorted out; I decided to give the new Windows 10 Mail Application a try.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to do a darned thing:-
1. With my Hotmail account I get error code 0x80070032. I've tried a couple of suggested "solutions" without success.
2. With my Gmail account I get "We didn't find anything to show here" or "Still working on it". Either way nothing shows up.
Maybe I should just stick with MS Outlook.
Delete Mail From Outlook On Phone Also Removes It From Gmail Account
Feb 17, 2016Not sure if I've set something up wrong, but when I delete mail from outlook on my WM10 phone, it removes it from my gmail account as well. but when I delete mail from mail app on my PC it only removes the copy on my PC.
Also when I delete gmail mail through web, the mail is deleted from my phone, but not my PC app.

Dec 8, 2015I just switched to the new mail app mostly because i want calendar, contacts and email shared across multiple computers and devices. Calendar and contacts seems to be shared fine but I have a cableone.net email and a gmail account. My new mail downloads fine but older mail and none of my folders in outside accounts show up. I have played with the sync settings...started at one week and moved out from there but old mail and folders do not download.

Feb 10, 2016My OS is Windows 10. I have been using MS Office Outlook for my email. I've used it for years. A few weeks ago I decided to try gmail so I set up an account. I did not give anyone my gmail address but for some reason I started to get a lot of my email from friends who have my Outlook address. I even got some of the junk mail on gmail. I then shut down my gmail account as I don't like it. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting much email. So I opened my gmail account and there were dozens of email messages there. Here's my problem. I want to close my gmail account but then I'll miss all of the messages that will go there. My question is. How can I stop messages from going to the gmail?

Apr 4, 2016Windows 10 x64.I upgraded my SmartFTP application which I have done many times.
When I tried to run the application, I immediately had the error message: The application was unable to start 0x0000022.
I uninstalled (RevoPro) and reinstalled: same thing. I contacted Support who told me to reinstall my OS!I checked to see if this applied to all my applications. I found one application that had the same error: Corel Draw x8. I tried others which ran OK.I ran sfc /scannow without any integrity violations.I temporarily turned off AVG and tried to run the application - same error. Jan 7, 2016I read a lot of stuff on the internet and it seemed the prevailing solution for this problem is to go into Settings/System/Default Apps and then set the default according to the file extension.
Been there, done that, at least 5 times. And it still opens with Edge and changes the default back to Edge. Microsoft doesn't want you controlling anything, do they?
How do I change this and make Adobe Reader the default, once and for all?

I have no clue what went wrong, but it doesn't want to work. I will only take restoring to an earlier date as a last resort.

Aug 17, 2015I have windows 10 installed and I have also installed the finale 2014 demo.
I am getting an error on launch of the application. It seems to be the only application that cannot run.
The error is:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
It seems to be an error with the C++ runtime. I have installed them but I have been unsuccessful.
Unable To Access Settings - Application Has Failed To Start
Aug 10, 2015When I try to access Settings, I get the following error:

I tried the command-line suggested and right after I hit enter, I get a flash of a window popping up on my screen and then it's gone. It's so quick I can't see what it's trying to open.
Networking :: Running Programs From NAS / The Application Was Unable To Start Correctly (0xc0000142)
Oct 9, 2015Ever since installing Windows 10 (clean) I'm facing several network related issues. Before going in depth I'd like to figure out if it's a problem with my PC or if it's a problem with Windows 10 in general.
I'll just stick to one problem for now.I have a Synology NAS and connected a directory there as network drive. I have some programs there that won't work when run from this location.
GameSave Manager/HandBrake Setup/Notepad++ Setup
"The Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."
WinMergeProtable Process shows up in Process Explorer but closes immediately.
Audacity Portable/WinDirStat Portable (and probably more programs using the PortableApps.com Launcher)
"X:ProgramsWinDirStatPortableAppAppInfoLauncherWinDirStat Portable.ini is missing [Launch]:ProgramExecutable - what am I to launch?"
AIDA64 Program works but no icons appear.
There are more but I think those few suffice for now.
All of those programs work fine once I copy them to a local drive and run them from there. Windows 7 ran the very same programs from a network drive without any problems.
I won't even touch the fun stuff like how playing a video from my NAS causes downloads (to the NAS) to stop because of access errors.
Unable To Open And Use Mail App
Jan 3, 2016I have recently bought a laptop from PC Specialist. The initial setup went ahead without too much drama, however after having used the laptop for a couple of times since then, I logged in today and find I can't open and use the Mail app. The first thing I noticed was the Mail symbol had disappeared from the Taskbar and I can't find it on the Start menu or under All Programs either. The actual app on the right of the Start menu is showing but does nothing at all when I click on it although it does show headers from the emails in the Inbox. I have also tried to find the program in the Uninstall list but it's not there either.

Feb 10, 2016I access my Outlook.com email through the Windows 10 Mail app - this is the same Microsoft Account that I sign into my laptop with.
When I Right-Click on the Junk Folder and click on "Empty Folder", as I would so in Outlook or on Outlook.com, I am presented with the below error:
I then have to select each message individually and then hit the Delete key to delete the messages in there.
